    Great coffee and great staff!

Located very close to the Devils River distillery, my wife and I had been in here once before. Did not really appreciate it though until we decided to come in tonight after dinner because we both wanted coffee. Nice, helpful people. The place itself is very well appointed and very comfortable and very clean! Good choice of sugar-free syrups that made my brown sugar and cinnamon latte delicious and diet friendly! Come in and give this place a try!

Cute coffee shop, yummy drink options with twists of creativity as top notch. The barista was so helpful in choosing the right drink for my taste. Customer service was great!! There are games to play, music to groove to and windows to watch passerbys.

Good but prices inflated! A latte was about $7.50. Interior of the cafe is beautiful, we stayed awhile and did some work on our laptops. Behind the counter looked like a big filthy mess;multiple items on the ground piled up. I only noticed it on my way back from the restroom. Was an ok experience but not dying to go back.

Really cute lobby in a historic building, fast service, lots of options for coffee and tea from cute baristas. I got the cold brew. Great location if you're exploring the great parts of downtown SA

Stop by to get something cool and refreshing after dinner and this place did not disappoint. I decided to try the iced Blue Matcha as recommended by the barista. The barista used whole milk for this drink, and it was really good. It reminded me of Frankenberry cereal. Had that flavoring which I really loved. The place here has a really nice vibe. It's open and airy and it reminds me of a hotel lobby. Really awesome place. Inconveniently next-door that you could see into the next shop is a barbershop. That's pretty cool. Highly recommend this place. Try the blue Matcha for an experience.

    Cool decor

Great cup of coffee. My friend said the first good one since she'd been in SA. Friendly service, and super cool decor. $11.61 for 2 coffees.

Located in almost a lobby area of a building in downtown San Antonio, my husband and I stopped here on a Friday evening for a drink fix and reading place. Inside there is comfortable seating area and tables which make it a great place to study (there is still limited seating overall so harder if you have a big group but groups of 2-4 would be fine). They do have free WIFI and worked great when I was there. I did not get any of their coffee drinks as it was late in the evening, but did have their Irish mocha latte decaf which was very good and glad they had oat milk and made the drink not too sweet! Service was friendly (the barista personally hand delivered the drinks to us) and loved that the drink was served in warm and cozy mugs. Parking - plenty of metered parking around and as it was less busier part of downtown San Antonio wasn't difficult finding a spot.

It's a cool tiny place in an office building

Full disclosure I'm a Valero or at home coffee guy. We have meetings in this building all the time and I'm a sucker for the smell coffee! It's very good quality coffee and tastes amazing. I still can't order right. My gripes and why it's not a 5 for me are issues others may not have. If you're in a rush or running late to a meeting...forget it. It's not fast or quick. Don't think it was intended for that. So I understand that. Also it's not ridiculously overpriced but not cheap. The pastries are delicious. The staff is also very friendly!

I'm so glad that I found this very cute coffee roasters, on a side street in the middle of downtown San Antonio. Apparently it's a family run business which I always love. The located within a bigger building that houses, what looks like apartments, with security guard. There is also a barbershop on site. It's very easy to miss this coffee shop. They had a sign out on the street which enabled me to locate them. Inside they have comfy seats, which gives off a hip and artsy vibe. I love that. The coffee was outstanding and I will definitely be back for more. The girl behind the counter was helpful and kind and eager to please the customer.

I really love this coffee cafe, located in the Hemisfair district of San Antonio. I spent time here…read moretwice. Formerly a house, the interior of this cafe has a serene feel inside with comfortable seating. There is also seating on the front porch and a huge backyard patio deck. You order at the counter, which is right when you walk in the front door. Your order is brought to your table, wherever you may be sitting. On my first visit I had a croque monsieur, a deli ham and melted cheese sandwich with béchamel sauce between toasted bread. It was delicious and was served with potato chips. I also got a hot vanilla latte, served in a mug, which was absolute perfection. One thing I liked was the absence of laptop campers. I only spotted one on both of my visits. People come here to quietly socialize or just take a break from life for a few minutes. My second visit was mainly to get another one of those fantastic vanilla lattes but I also chose a chocolate croissant from their pastry case. The croissant, served on a nice dish, was fresh, flakey, and full of chocolate. I sat, relaxed, and felt like things didn't get much better than this.

Commonwealth Coffee was good, but not the best coffee experience I've had. The interior itself is…read morevery clean and has plenty of space inside to sit and relax, which I appreciated. However, parking was difficult and not very convenient. The coffee was good and smooth, but nothing that really stood out. It was solid quality, just not something I'd go out of my way for. One thing that surprised me was the price. My latte was listed at $7, but with all the extra charges for add-ons it quickly became $9+, which felt a bit pricey even coming from Chicago where coffee can already be expensive. What really affected the rating for me was the service speed. It was probably the slowest coffee service I've experienced. I waited about 15 minutes for two lattes, and there was only one other person ahead of me. For a simple order, that felt like a long time. Overall, it's a nice café with a clean, spacious atmosphere and decent coffee, but the pricing and slow service make it somewhere I'd visit occasionally rather than regularly.
