Fabulous doughnuts with excellent flavor and variety. We had the banana cream and the "raspberry romeo". The banana one was one of the best doughnuts I ever had. Raspberry also delicious. Coffee was excellent and a good price value. Dining area was clean, highly recommend grabbing one here.
Whenever there is a Voodoo Doughnut in the area I make a stop. This time I got the dirt (crushed Oreos on top a plain donut). It was AMAZING. This year these donuts were my birthday cake so it was extra special.
I have come here several times and the donuts are always so good. I drive down there when I'm craving a cake doughnut because I think they have the best. Today was a different experience, my donuts tasted like they were a day old. My mom is in the food industry, and she noticed on her doughnut that the glaze was not fresh and she too felt like it was an old donut. The only fresh donut that was excellent was the apple fritter. I don't think I'll be making a special trip down there for a while.
Cute pink doughnut shop for IG worthy pictures. It offers unique oversized doughnuts that are displayed in a rotating display case. The service was fast but not overly friendly but I guess maybe the demeanor was fitting for a voodoo themed store. I had the Strawberry Go Tart which is a play on the Strawberry Pop Tart. It didn't compare. It was a bit dry and overly sweet. I may would go back to try other options. 3.5/5
I've heard about this place through food network when i was younger. I was so happy to find out they had a voodoo doughnut in san antonio. My brother's gf, her sister, and I decided to check it out before we flew home. I ordered their Caramel dulce de leche donut, her brother's gf got the cookies and cream and her sister got the Banana one. After taking a bite of the donuts, we were very disappointed. The donuts were mid and expensive. I would save my money and go to krispy kreme or dunkin.
Came here the day before Christmas with my fiance. When we arrived there was no one else in line. I ordered the Diablo Rex donit mostly because it had the most interesting decoration. After leaving the donut shop, we headed back to our hotel to enjoy rest of the day and eat the donuts The donuts were delicious and I didn't leave a crumbs. I recommend this place for amazing donuts
The good - colorful & creative concepts, lots of options, large size donuts The not so good - donuts tasted stale, filling not well distributed, focus seemed to be on size at the expense of flavor. And c'mon, if you're gonna use ODB's name on a donut, it better look and taste dope enough to make me go Shimmy Shimmy Ya... but this was definitely not that.
I had some time before the opera and noticed that this was nearby and had to check it out. It was a nice walk from the opera and the outside of the building with their signs just brings the customers in. I was glad that there was not a long wait and the small dinning area was perfect to enjoy my snack and coffee before the show. I had no idea how many unique doughnuts they had with such creative names. Definitely a place I need to return to in order to fully appreciate the full array of delicious doughnuts they have.
While in San Antonio checking out the local downtown scene, my wife and our girlfriend saw a Voodoo Donuts and just had to stop in. Yeah, they are just another donut store but with a bit of a hip twist. The bacon maple twist is one of their most famous donuts and being lover of donuts we stopped in for a few of their 40 different flavors before continuing on through town and to keep for the next morning. All three of us really enjoyed the eclectic decorating style of Voodoo as well as our tasty donuts. Voodoo is a donut institution that anyone who enjoys a good donuts should stop in and check out at least once. We are making another trip to San Antonio soon and most likely will stop in to grab some creative donuts to have with our coffee for breakfast in the morning

Friendly service, a clean and welcoming space, and plenty of donuts to choose from! The donuts themselves tasted great--fresh, flavorful, and definitely satisfying. I did notice that the Oreos on my Dirt Donut seemed a bit stale and didn't have the crunchy texture I remembered, which took away slightly from the overall bite. Still, it was a small detail in an otherwise enjoyable visit. Definitely worth stopping by if you're in the area!
If you like donuts with lots of weird toppings this is the place. It's definitely not for everyone and the toppings and flavors may be too much for some people's taste. I enjoyed the fact the menu is not something you see at other donut places.

I don't love the parking situation because it's in the middle of downtown but when I am nearby I will come over and grab one or two pieces. I have also ordered on DoorDash which is way more convenient. But then I wonder where do the Dasher park here? I've never had a bad doughnut. I love the bright colors of the location and the staff has always been friendly. I especially love the raspberry filling.
Walking back to our hotel from the Alamo, we came across this fun looking donut shop. My husband and I decided to buy a donut to split for a snack later. While there were so many great choices, we ordered the Pumpkin Spice Latte. Feature donut. We ate it a few hours later and yum! It held up to its name! Could taste a subtle coffee, and definitely the filling was a creamy indulgent pumpkin. Glad I dint live near here, I'd want to try soooo many more! An absolute must stop while near the Riverwalk ! Great customer service and tasty treat. read more

Very large location with a number of unique fun flavors of donuts. It's definitely an Instagram type of spot with all pink decor and the donuts are all nicely decorated. There are big windows to watch them in the kitchen making and decorating the donuts. The display case also has rotating displays of the different flavors so you know what you're ordering. The counter service is quick and not a long wait even with a line. Cups of water are not available for free, you will need to pay even for the tap. read more
Located in downtown. Nice location and area. The donuts were good. We had the maple bacon bar and a churro cheesecake. The service was slow. I told the worker my coffee was cold she said it's fresh....i said well it's cold. She again "it's fresh." So I just drank the lukewarm coffee. read more
First off the good is that the donuts were pretty good and ordering online was easy. The staff was friendly and hardworking and I don't mean that lightly. By hard working I mean they were severely understaffed and dealing with a huge demand of customers to the point that it was a miracle that this place was even operational. I felt the stress the staff was under and that creates a poor ambiance and a negative experience. I felt bad for the workers some pulling double or even triple duties. My complaint is that the franchise owners should have ensured adequate staff during high demand hours and or step in and help with the workload. In a leadership role I believe in feeding your horses. These current workers deserve to have more support, especially for a brand like voodoo. 5 stars for the workers all the way. read more

We've wanted to check one of these out while traveling and finally did for this long weekend trip to San Antonio - the dough is so good!! The Voodoo doll has raspberry (at least I think that was the flavor) filling in the bottom half of the donut, which I didn't realize it would but it was good, honestly though just a basic chocolate glaze donut from them would be fantastic (essentially what part of my voodoo doll was except no hole lol) - I ate half for dessert last night and the other half this morning. Definitely worth a try, pricey but seriously some of the best donut dough I've ever had read more

Such a fun place! The vibe is great, neat atmosphere, and funny donut flavors. The line was long but it went fast. We ordered the butter fingering, banana creme pie, captain crunch, a maple cream, and a cannolo. All were sweet but good. The maple cream was my favorite along with the butterfingering which is a cake donut. The cereal gets stale/mushy the next day so eat those while they are fresh!l and crunchy. read more
We were staying around the corner from this place for the weekend so on Sunday morning I walked over for some doughnuts and iced coffee for breakfast for me and my husband. The ambiance is fun with plenty of pink. They also have all of the doughnuts on display in two rotating cases, making it easy to see what each doughnut looks like before you order. Service was friendly and quick. I ordered the pumpkin buttermilk bar, the banana cream pie, the buttermilk bar, the maple bar, the maple old fashioned and the cinnamon sugar cake. My favorite was the maple old fashioned. They also gave me a complimentary glazed doughnut because it was my first visit. A nice touch. read more

Once again Voodoo Donut kept up to their expectations. They do not disappoint. It's been a while since I've been, it was good to get a chance to come back by. Micah helped me this time. I saw the maple blazer & that's what I went in for, ended up with a few others. The staff is what keeps me happy, of course the donuts keep me coming back. read more

We went here at the kid's insistence for breakfast. I know, sugar rush for breakfast is not the best idea. But she insisted so we went. Her donut was "incredible," some kind of chocolate sugar bomb. I had an apple fritter that to me did not have many apples and seemed dry. The other thing I got, forgot the name, was like a peanut and butter sandwich. It was good but really filling. I should not have gotten both a fritter and the peanut butter donut. Service was friendly and fast. No line when we went. Ambience was fine. The kid was happy so we were happy. And know I can say we went to the famous Voodoo Donut place. read more

Loved it. Got the old dirty bastard and the cock and balls. I was a bit worried that the latter wouldn't be fresh but it was. It's packed solid with cream (bavarian), both the balls and shaft area, and they can write whatever you want for just a buck more. It's got good heft too. You'll probably want to grab the balls with both hands and go slow. It's ok to use your teeth this time. The dirty old bastard just looked good. And it was darn tasty. Staff was nice. Not crowded on a Monday morning in a June. read more

These doughnuts are yummy! I've always wanted to try this place out since I saw a travel show about the original location in Oregon. The atmosphere is really cool in the shop and they have so many different types of doughnuts available. They are a little more expensive than a typical doughnut shop but these are pretty large and the ingredients are high quality. We ordered a banana cream and an Oreo chocolate doughnut. The cashier told us to get the app and sign in so we could get a free doughnut. So cool of her...thanks! Both doughnuts were excellent, but they are so sweet that I can't imagine eating a whole doughnut myself. The banana cream tasted like pudding but with fried dough. Yum! The Oreo one had a chocolatey taste with crunchy cookies on top. Both were very different but equally delicious. Can't wait to stop again. read more
National chain; however, excited to have this right in front of my hotel during my stay in San Antonio. The staff was friendly, location was prime for indoor and outdoor seating, and the donuts/coffee did not disappoint. Highly recommended. read more
A neat place for a sweet treat! I'm not normally a donut person but what I've tried from Voodoo has been pretty good! The service is quick and easy despite the long lines that have been present in both of my visits, the merch is cute and funky, and the shop itself is a total vibe. I didn't think crystal chandeliers, hot pink, and a giant taxidermy longhorn could work together in the slightest but for Voodoo's aesthetic, it does. Even the bathroom, which was in decent but not the cleanest condition this last visit, goes hard with Pepto Bismol pink wallpaper bedecked with the wackiest assortment of donuts you would not normally imagine. Shop aside, Voodoo's donuts aren't all that greasy which means that those with sensitive stomachs, myself included, won't have to suffer after eating said donuts. They have a pretty decent sized vegan menu to choose from and they taste really good. This last time I ordered the Apple Fritter and it was MASSIVE. I ended up splitting it with someone who doesn't eat vegan and they really liked it too! It was very sweet, the dough was soft, and there were actual pieces of apple in the Fritter which I enjoyed immensely. If I'm in the area I'll probably stop by to try more of their vegan treats. Everything I've tried so far has been fun, so I'm looking forward to seeing what's next! read more
