Outstanding experience with Cosmic Bakery. Our daughter is a huge Back to the Future fan, and my husband found this bakery while searching for someone who could bring that vision to life. From the moment we explained what we wanted for her cake, they listened carefully and captured every detail perfectly -- right down to the foil pan. When our daughter saw the cake, she was ecstatic and even brought to tears. It made her 16th birthday incredibly special and truly unforgettable. On top of that, the cake was unbelievably delicious. I can't even put into words how moist and flavorful it was, especially with the strawberry filling -- absolutely amazing. Hats off to Cosmic Bakery for going above and beyond and adding something truly over the top to such an important day. We are so grateful and appreciative of the care and talent that went into this cake. read more

I called in a pinch for my son's birthday cake. They were instantly gracious, helpful, and willing to do their best to make it happen for him. Considering I needed the cake in 2 days, I was expecting them to make a simpler version of the cake photos I provided for reference. They did not and in fact, they exceeded the expectations I would have had if they had weeks notice. I cannot recommend this bakery enough. The cake was delicious, the flavors are fun, and the customer service is even better. Thank you again. read more

Not going to lie, I'm a little disappointed. I called in for a quote on a new birthday cake. I was told to send in a photo of what we were looking for (via text) and to hurry to send it in quickly so we can get our order in (because she was getting booked fast). I sent in everything that was asked of me and I never heard anything back. A simple response saying "hey I can't do it" would have been nice and I get that people get busy. Anyway, I don't doubt her ability to make cakes, as I said in my previous review, but customer service wasn't great this time around so I dropped my rating to 4 stars. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to get our cake elsewhere. read more

I ordered a cake back in October 2023 for my gf's bday (the T-Swift stabbing cake). It was equally as delicious as it was entertaining to watch get stabbed. This aside, I want to commend the woman running the cake shop because I couldn't get my butt over there before the closing time. She stayed after hours until I was able to pick it up and for that I am grateful. A+, 10/10. Thank you! read more

Cosmic Cakery's cakes, while being super delicious are also beautiful works of art. You can just give them an idea of what you want and they create beautiful artistic designs. I first experienced their creations at fundraising events for a local community theater(Woodlawn, now Wonder). The fact that they support nonprofit organizations in their community only adds to how special they are. I can't wait to have a special event where I need a cake so that I can contact the folks at Cosmic Cakery. Melissa Gonzalez(Board Member, Wonder Theatre) read more

They made a fairly last minute cake for my wedding and it was delicious! We had tried 3 other bakeries within our price range and all 3 had fairly dry cupcakes. In a desperate attempt to find an edible cake 2 weeks before the wedding, we went to Cosmic Cakery and bought some cupcakes. They were divine! So moist and fluffy! We immediately went back inside and ordered the cake. It was a relatively simple design, but you could see the detail they put into even just selecting the fruit and lavender sprigs for the top. Price was also less than the other bakeries we talked to. I found that too many cake designers are artists and not enough are bakers. Cosmic Cakery delivered on both. read more

I just moved to San Antonio so I obviously did not know of a great custom cake place who did beautiful work but also had delicious tasting cake. I searched cake places on google and yelp and saw how people testified to cosmic cakery delivering both delicious and beautiful cakes. So I took a chance and walked into the store, spoke with John(who was sweet) and showed him exactly what I wanted for my cake. When I picked up the cake it was beautiful and once we tasted it let me tell you I got compliments from every single person at our celebration. The cake was very spongey and tasted so good and the cream in the center of the cake was thin and not a thick overwhelming layer like other places do. Im definitely using them as my future cake shop! read more

They are going to be used as a gift so she bundles them in a small pale for an extra $5. The flavors I selected were birthday cake and cookies. The pops were great. I could not have asked for a better experience than I had with Cosmic Cakery! I contacted Brittney for my last-minute wedding cake, and with only a month and a half to plan the event, I didn't have time to go to tastings so I rolled the dice. Not only was my wedding cake EXACTLY as I'd pictured, but the taste was beyond any cake--especially wedding cake--that I've ever had. I went with the vanilla semi-naked cake with Bavarian creme filling--highly recommend. Thank you Brittney! read more

I've been wanting to try this place for so long, finally was on this side of town while they were open so decided to give it a go. Unfortunately was not pleased, they handed me the cupcake box up side down, frosting was cold so didn't mess it up too much. I wish I could say it was redeemed with the taste but the cake was dry and The cake pop marshmallow was rubbery and old. So disappointed. read more

I live in California, and wanted to send my brother in San Antonio a special cake for his birthday, so I looked online for bakeries in his area - and was I lucky to find Cosmic Cakery! The owner responded right away to my description of what I had in mind - and knew just how it should look - I sent a photo of the image from the Spacex Dragon capsule, and the wording - and I couldn't have been happier with the result. It was delivered on his birthday, and he was so surprised! He also said the cake was absolutely delicious. This is a wonderful bakery, and I am really happy I chose to work with them. I went to Cosmic Cakery and got a dozen cake pops for my office, left them in the break room, and blasted out an email letting people know they were there. They didn't last long - a few people went back for seconds, and a few others came by my office to ask me exactly where I had gotten "those awesome cake pops". I told them to go see Brittany at Cosmic Cakery - and I don't know if any of them have, but I wouldn't be surprised. The moral of the story is... if you get your office some cake pops from Cosmic Cakery, just be sure to get enough! I haven't tried anything other than the cake pops (yet), but I'm sure I won't be disappointed. read more

Last December my fiancé and I were on the hunt for a bakery to do our wedding cake. Since we live out of state, we had to do our wedding planning on our short trips to S.A. We called around to our top 5 bakeries in the area and asked for a quick tasting while we were in town. Brittany was so sweet at squeezing us in that day and whipping up our tasting in the 20 minutes from calling her to arriving at her bakery. She made our tasting so easy and delicious that we didn't need to look any further. Her cakes were light, fluffy and not sickeningly sweet. The day of our wedding we received so many compliments on the cake tasting fabulous and super moist- not to mention she nailed our "sprinkle" cake look. My only regret is not taking the leftover cake home! We had three different flavors and I wish I had tasted all of them but I was off mingling so I only tried one flavor. We will definitely stop by the bakery next month to pick up some cupcakes! read more

Best experience I could have asked for. I was short on time, with high expectations of a Pinterest recreation I was looking to achieve for a bridal shower I was hosting. Within less than a week Brittney prompt response and great customer service delivered exactly what I was looking for. The cake was a huge hit at the party, everyone asking where it came from and it only did it look great it tasted amazing! The top tier was a strawberry champagne flavor, a huge hit! She stayed open late on Saturday to accommodate me picking it up. Her prices were SUPER reasonable compared to what I've seen out there.
