Very disappointing experience, especially for a wedding cake…read more I ordered my wedding cake from Letty's Cakes on Fredericksburg Rd and paid over $100 for it. Unfortunately, the cake was extremely disappointing. The cake appeared underbaked/frozen in the middle, and the overall quality did not match what I expected or what I paid for. What made it worse was that this was my wedding cake, and the condition of the cake ended up ruining what should have been a special cake-cutting moment for us. I reached out to the business about the issue and was denied a refund. After sharing my experience, I also found that I am not the only customer who has had issues with this business. Other customers have described similar problems in previous reviews, including concerns about cake quality and customer service. I understand that mistakes can happen, but when someone is paying for a wedding cake, especially over $100, I expect the cake to be properly baked, prepared, and ready to serve. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. I would recommend looking through the previous reviews carefully before ordering, especially for an important event like a wedding.

Back story - Me and my two girl friends wanted an evening to celebrate our wins that week. One of…read moreus got a bonus, one of us had a successful week of planning, and one of us received a job offer. For our social distance meet up we each brought something, champagne, glasses and me - "fancy cake"! It was the theme of our night "fancy cake"! I had warned the girls that we were going to be having Oreo tres leches cupcakes, which for any San Antonio native that already sounds mouth watering. We get there, set up and I nonchalantly open the box. There was gasp, there was screeches, there was literal tears (the happy ones). After weeks of being cooped up and not having any interaction, these cupcakes were a physical emotion overload. When I tell you the details on presentation alone were just ... perf. The gold flakes embodied our celebratory night. The sprinkles was the mix of our unique friendship. And the pipet of creamy goodness was a toast to good things coming our way. On to the cakes (don't hate me for the build up) - Delicious. Moist. Extravagant. Crowd pleasers. They are served best cold (obviously). The inside is a yummy juicy cake sponge with a lot of flavor, then if you dare squeeze the pipet of extra tres leches it's even more delicious succulent. The icing is a lightly fluffed Oreo flavor. It's legitimately perfect. The saying, "icing on top of the cupcake", comes from this icing. The sprinkles, Hershey's kiss, pipet, extra love, etc that was placed on top was all a special touch from the Gorda Bakes herself. She knew we were celebrating and wanted to make it special and unique for us. For that alone - 5 stars. Two hand claps. And a standing ovation. Be gorda. Be great. Can't wait for my next order.

I even found a coworker down here who was able to deliver the cake to our air bnb 30mns out. However at 11pm we get back to our air bnb and to my utter shock I open the fridge to I don't even know what. My son was so upset and I'm livid. I reached out to the baker last night and her response was "For one, the exact emblem that is on top of that cake I did not find I have to be able to find one to be able to print one and the tire treads. I thought would be better as actual tire tread print so that is why I did that. I'm sorry you disagreed your friend seem to like it when he picked it up And the viewers that I had on TikTok today when I did the Live making the cake also thought it was a pretty awesome cake and professional so I'm sorry that you did not think so but with short notice, those are the things that I could do to make the cake. The only thing that's different is there is a trim on the side top edge and the treads are different but there is still the emblem on top". So apparently unless using a printer she doesn't know how too do fondunt design. It Isn't even close to what I sent her, also instead of putting happy birthday Landon on the cake like he wanted she just put a cheap piece of plastic. She never once took responsibility or just said I'm so sorry what can I do to fix it. This is what I got for $70
