Christmas Eve. What a nightmare of a day for everybody. The people without patience clashing with the people with all the time in the world. Aggressive drivers, anxious shoppers, and every retail worker putting in a Nikola Jokic triple-double. I understand it is a different beast of food service when it is December 24th. Christmas breakfast is what starts off your day before ripping through presents, and this year my parents thought Duck Donuts' Christmas-themed donuts would be a fun change of pace from the cinnamon pull aparts that we normally do. On Christmas Eve, we placed a mobile order on the Duck Donuts website, which requires a mandatory tip to order online, and we selected the ASAP option that said it would take about 30 to 40 minutes. My dad, who was in charge of picking them up, said they were kind of behind and typically that was fine. However, as the donuts were coming out of the fryer, they were immediately decorating them with the icing and the crazy and unique Duck Donuts toppings. When the order was ready, my dad noticed that the dozen donut box was quite hot. Donuts are not usually served warm like that. When he got home to show them to us, all the designs of their gingerbread and other Christmas flavors had melted. All the creams had completely melted. It looked gross. We put them in the fridge to try and preserve them from melting any more, but only so much could be done to salvage them from their depressing state. It was a little tragic. I feel like this is a very rare occurrence from Duck Donuts, as we have had donuts from this location before and enjoyed them. It felt like the fault of Christmas special orders and the rush that led to a breakfast disaster from what was meant to be a special start of the morning. All things considered, the donuts were fine. They tasted okay, but they gooped up in your hands and just felt wasteful. For the price, you would hope they would not melt before you got home. Duck and cover donuts. FIRST TIME VISIT! Easy access, this location is set in a very popular strip of restaurants and other businesses right off the 1604. While I was waiting for my drink at Artea, I walked in to get some sweet treats to go. We love a good donut and have been trying to find our "sweet spot". The menu on the wall is deceiving. It has less photos, flavor options and doesn't include descriptions like the menu laid flat on the ordering counter. Glad the cashier pointed it out. The gist is this, you start with a standard donut and you choose the topping. Service is meh. Might just be the team working today, but the guy behind the counter looks like he is devastated to be there. Makes me wonder what's going on with him. No one smiles, they may have welcomed me when I walked in, I don't recall now, the space is small, but clean. They have some seating up against one wall for those waiting around for their order or whom cannot wait another second to devour their sweet treat. Donuts come out hot and fresh from the back, handed off to a decorator, who decorates behind a glass for you viewing pleasure, and then handed to you. Nothing really over the top special, a bit overpriced for what is, but I love that the donuts are WARM & FRESH as you take them. I selected a 1/2 dozen of donuts for my fam to sample, glaze, Oreo cookie style and a topping with cinnamon sugar. They have few tables inside and game board that you and your kids can enjoy while waiting for your order or even while eating it. Aside from donut they also offer drinks. Today's review is about service. I ordered a dozen assorted donuts and was presented with the first picture titled "dozen not assorted". I asked for a manager and he immediately took charge and corrected the quality issue. He acknowledge that the first attempt was not up to their standards and apologized. Duck donuts totally deserves five stars today for service and five stars for holding up their standards and delivering the quality of donuts my family has come become used to. Totally misses the managers name, maybe Gishan? But the manager on shift the morning of March 30th did a great job stepping in. read more

My family and I decided on trying Duck Donuts, and we're glad we did. The shop and set up is pretty neat and cute. I love that they have Duck Donuts merchandise. I ordered the powdered donuts, and it was delicious. My husband and daughter both got the maple bacon donuts, and they enjoyed it. My two other kids got the chocolate sprinkles donuts, and they also enjoyed it. The lady asked if we wanted to get one more donut since it'll be much cheaper, so I got the blueberry lemon powdered donuts, and that was by far my fave. My daughter said the texture of the donuts reminded her of a cake donut, but still enjoyed her donut. Overall, I love that the donuts from Duck Donuts were all crispy on the outside, and yet soft on the inside. Lastly, the service was great. We'll definitely be back. read more

Sooo many yummy choices, it was hard to decide lol These doughnuts are more of cake consistency and are displayed ready to be decorated in your choice of goodies. I was expecting an extremely sweet donut and I did not get that, which for me is great! The donuts are so light and well balanced in flavor that I don't feel like I'm eating an actual donut! They are very delicious and you can taste all flavors of each type of donut. The sunrise and French toast are two of my favorites! A must try! Service was great and ambiance is relaxed. Getting my order together was a bit confusing for my first time, but the sweet reward was definitely worth it Initial impression- nice & clean Staff - not very energetic, not very helpful to understand the menu, the cashier didn't have bags and instructed me to go get my own bag from the other employee for 4 bottles of milk. Doughnuts: we had 6 random doughnuts from menu and they all were AMAZING! The wait: I enjoyed watching them personally make my order fresh and right before my eyes. I really loved the Maple-Bacon, Blueberry-lemonade and the Pina Colada doughnuts. Price: $32 for dozen doughnuts and 4 milks.... For starters right when you walked in it smelt really good! Setting the expectations pretty high because man that smell of freshly baked donuts just does something to you. It's nice it was called out relatively quickly but the person doing the dozen was sorta sloppy and seemed super annoyed. Perhaps it's something going on behind the scenes, going on in her life but the service that came from this place was pretty trash. Which made us super disappointed since we were very excited to try this place. As for the donuts it was okay. The dough still tasted kinda wet and gave a feeling of undone. Ordered donuts here through their online ordering for curbside pickup. As soon as you park you call them to let them know you're there. It only took about 10 minutes. They did however forget my iced coffee and I had to call them to let them know. The guy said he was going to check on it and totally forgot about my iced coffee order. I saw them make it and place on the counter and so I had to call again to ask for my drink and they finally gave it to me. There was a bit of a miscommunication between the employees. But nonetheless, the donuts were warm and fresh! They were not overly sweet and they definitely satisfied my donut cravings. I even had an egg and cheese sandwich which was on a donut bread. It's a donut - but it's a really darn good donut. My kids like trying different things on their donuts - wacky stuff like blueberry Oreo bacon. True. But me? I just like maple. Although they do these seasonal boxes which are really cool. We got one with a St. Patrick's day theme, cuz nuthin' screams Irish heritage like a donut!
