I have been here many times and like it each time. Superior, coffee and people who really know what they're doing in the barista station. But more than that, the sitting area is very comfortable and not too loud, I meet a men's Bible Study group here every Friday morning and we really enjoy it and get a lot out of the meeting and the coffee we are drinking. I typically stick with the regular coffee, but decided to try something fancy this time. I was not disappointed!

Cute little spot! Good coffee and plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. Good service, got my coffee order wrong (lol!) but she was sweet about it and willing to remake it. I didn't want to do that and didn't mind the iced lavender latte instead of hot lavender latte; it was still good! They have cute merch like t shirts and a lot of varieties of their coffee beans for sale as well. Parking lot crazy packed!

Had a cereal latte it was interesting but super good! Definitely a more sweet flavor latte but I would definitely have it again and the service was great the staff was really nice!

Had a tasty chocolate cherry muffin and when I was deciding on what I wanted to drink, the barista suggested the honey cinnamon latte. Had mine with oat milk and it is definitely worth having again. Such a nice space and the ambiance is what you think of when you think of a laid back coffee spot.

Very popular place for coffee and enjoying time inside the café. Perfect place for meetings and hangouts. I like the iced chocolate mocha with coconut milk. My friend tried the hot turmeric latte, and it was very unique and tasty. Drinks are aesthetic . Service is friendly and fast.

I'm not new to Merit Coffee, but had only visited the Austin location on South Lamar. So when I knew I'd be in San Antonio I knewwww I had to stop by a location in their hometown. And I was not disappointed! The person at the cash register was super nice and the decor/shop set up was GOALS. I want my house to look like this! We ordered a cup of drip (unlimited while in shop!) and a cortado with oat milk plus an almond croissant and blueberry/lemon scone. Coffee and pastries were absolutely DELICIOUS. We can't wait to go back. Even order a decaf iced oat milk latte for the road!!

Drink: 3/5 I had an iced chai latte and it was heavy on the cinnamon!! Beware if you are not a lover of cinnamon, this drink is not for you. Honestly I wish the chai taste was a bit stronger, it was good but not enough chai flavor for me. Food: 2/5 I had the hot Italian hot pocket which was good but nothing spectacular. There was a whole lot of bread and not a whole lot of filling. I doubt that it was homemade- Not sure if any of the pastries are here and prefer coffee shops w some home grown or local bakeries / food options. Atmosphere 3.5/5 The place was packed! A decent amount of seating with only bar seats open. lots of plugs indoors but NO PLUGS OUTSIDE. Not that you would want to be outdoors in summer, but for the fall would be nice.

Oh my gosh! Best place for coffee kick . Parking: large parking lot, can get pretty filled up & compact parking there Service: everyone's really nice & informative. Baked goods from bakery Lorraine, bagels from boss bagel, etc. Ambiance: nice inside, plenty of indoor & outdoor seating Oat Milk Cappacino & London Fog Scones are amazing!

I love how local places are becoming more competitive with "the big S." For example, you can be apart of their rewards program here, and earn a free drink or a coupon, you also get a 5% off for bringing your personal cup. My only quibble is that the music is sort of loud, I can hear it through my headphones and it's not lyric-less. It makes it tough studying for finals. Overall, it's a pretty solid coffee shop! I recommend.

Being a coffee connoisseur - Merit has a reputation for immediate service, modern decor, and a beautiful ambiance during the holidays. I have to say that it is unfortunate and rather uncomfortable to casually plan a date and get work done indoors under the circumstances because the design and interior of this place is perfect for being productive. Merit's menu selection is rather simple and the espresso is executed very well! COVID-19 precautions are definitely up to par here.

    Breve latte!

Merit Coffee is my go-to for a good cup of coffee. Always on point. I got the breve latte today and it was smooth, creamy, and had an undertone of sweetness, a sign that the espresso was pulled correctly. This is always a nice place to visit and get work done.

I went here to try a good matcha - I paid $14 for 2 medium sized matchas, one with oat milk and one with coconut milk. The place was nice to study, but there's no cushion on the seats making it slightly uncomfortable to sit for long periods. The actual matcha tasted like colored water down milk. It was bland and had no flavor. The place got super busy around 3-4 pm, so I'm sure their coffee is good if people are getting that. However, I would never get matcha here ever again especially for how expensive it was. I literally was just drinking it to drink it at this point because it was so expensive

Pastries were great. Buttery flaky goodness. I'd come back again for a different coffee drink or to buy gifts for my husband from the wall of Yeti merch.

Last weekend, I decided to wait in the line and it went by much faster than I thought it would. We ordered the iced cookie butter matcha with an almond croissant. This might've been one of the best almond croissants I've had too, it was flaky on the outside and soft, sweet. I'm for all things cookie butter and this one did NOT disappoint. It was a perfect balance of sweet with still that lovely matcha flavor. I went with a friend who doesn't like matcha and even he was enjoying it. The second time I went is when they were running a matcha promo that they announced on their instagram (definitely follow the there!) and so I went for my midday pickup and there was a small line of about 7 people. It went by pretty fast. We were intrigued by the horchata milk and the employee let us try a bit and we were convinced that was the one. We got the horchata matcha and the banana matcha with banana cream. I definitely loved both of them but if I had to pick a favorite, it would def be that banana matcha. Perfect balance of that real tasting banana flavor (I dislike any of the artificial fruit flavorings) with the well-balanced matcha. The employees were all super friendly as they even encouraged us to ask for modifications after we got our drinks. Overall, i'll definitely be back and I 1000% get the hype now!!

There were very limited fresh selections available, and many items were still being baked during opening hours. In my opinion, a bakery should open with the shelves fully stocked and ready for customers, especially those of us stopping in early. The prices are reasonable, ranging from about $2.50-$4.00 for both sweet and savory pastries, but price doesn't make up for the lack of availability. I expected to have more options to choose from instead of empty or partially filled displays. For consistency in early morning breakfast items, I could have easily gone to Krispy Kreme, where you know exactly what you're getting when the doors open. That said, 85°C is convenient and their mango smoothies are great. Overall, it's a decent spot, but I wouldn't recommend going first thing in the morning if you're expecting a full pastry selection.
