Mexicano Cubano sandwich with egg added

An order then find your seat type of dining. Tres leches matcha was a 200000/10. The fideo was lacking flavor. The cubano was delicious but a bit messy. I had ordered an egg over medium but it came over easy. Very good nevertheless. My mother enjoyed her waffle croissant. Their bakery items looked delicious and were displayed in the front. We did not try this time but will be back to try. Alfonso went above and beyond to make sure our needs were met and had a great experience. We also saw he was the only employee on the dining room floor cleaning and bussing tables. Thank you Alfonso.

It was a Saturday morning and super busy, but the service was okay. The sweet bread is good. I ordered a torta de pastor with pan telera. The meat didn't taste bad, but it honestly didn't taste like traditional pastor. The place is spacious, with tolerable music -- nothing too loud, so you can still have a conversation. However, a high-top table for three is pretty small. Those tables should really be limited to two people max, especially when food is involved.

This was my third time visiting from California. I come here every time I visit my son in San Antonio. It's our favorite cafe and I love trying all the different pastries. The line is worth it, it's busy for a reason. We ordered our bakery items first and then our meals at the register. I came for my birthday this year so it was an extra special visit to be there with my family. We were provided a table and high chair for my granddaughter. The attention to detail and high quality service is noticed. The food is always on point. The monkey bread we got was a little over baked but still tasty. Everyone enjoyed their meal and visit.

If there is ome place you go while you are in town, come here! Best concha I've ever had! The velvet with Nutella and Ferrero Roche filling was delicious! The almond tequila croissant, fantastic. But the ranchero avocado toast phenomenal! The bread was perfect and the TexMex flavors with this avocado toast make a Texas girl very happy. I also recommend the chai with vanilla and for a little extra TexMex vibe add tres leches foam. Service is friendly and the ambience is lovely. Definitely a must for brunch!

Thank you to "Chino" at the bar area. You were amazing, incredible service. We know where to seat next time we come. As usual the food was delish and the black bean soup.. yummm

We had breakfast with some friends and once again we weren't dissaapointed. They have a huge selection of pastries and sweets. We had the ham, egg and cheese torta. The ham and cheese croissant and El favorito. All of our choices were excellent. We had plenty of food and we were full when we left. They also have very good coffee and lattes. I recommend trying it out

La Panadería - A San Antonio Signature Experience La Panadería has been one of our favorite spots in San Antonio for years, and for good reason. It's more than just a bakery--it's an experience that has become a signature stop for anyone visiting the city. The pastries are second to none, setting the standard for freshness, creativity, and flavor. From their legendary croissants and conchas to seasonal specialties, every bite is consistently perfect. Their coffee bar is excellent, pairing beautifully with a leisurely morning pastry or a mid-day pick-me-up. What really makes La Panadería stand out is its versatility. Whether you're in the mood for breakfast, brunch, lunch, or dinner, it's a welcoming spot for the whole family. The menu is creative yet approachable, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. Simply put, La Panadería is a must-visit in San Antonio. Whether you're a local regular or just passing through near Six Flags, you'll find yourself wanting to come back again and again. They are opening their Fifth location near Stone Oak soon!

    Mexican hot chocolate

Got there right before the line was out the door. I can see why this place is so popular! Inside is a little small but cozy. Does make you feel like you're in a cafe more than a sit down restaurant. This place you'll place your order before finding a seat. Not only do they have lots of fresh baked goods, but they have great breakfast, brunch, lunch options. Hubby and I both had the Mexican hot chocolate, all I can say about this is that it was delicious! I could've done with less whipped cream but that's me. Hubby had the tequila French toast. He loved it, but by the end he was in a sugar coma. I had the lobster eggs Benedict. Eggs were poached nice, but I prefer mine a bit more runny. Also the eggs were kinda small. The salsa and hollandaise were great compliments to the lobster. Sauces were salty and spicy and paired great with the sweet lobster. They didn't skimp on the lobster either! Both hubby and I agreed that the portion sizes are big, and we could've shared one of these and been pleasantly full. Not a big fan of how you order the food because it doesn't take a while especially if someone is just ordering pastries. Maybe they could have a to go/bakery only line then a sit down line?! Not sure but I think they could prefect the system. Cannot wait to go back and have something new!

    Pastel de nata
    Darlene K.

Visited La Panadería later in the day around 4:30 pm, and unfortunately most of the treats were already gone--including all of my favorites. That said, we were still able to snag a pastel de nata to share, and it didn't disappoint. It was very flaky, nicely baked, and not overly eggy, which I appreciated. While the limited selection late in the day was a downside, the quality of what we had was still solid. I'll definitely try to come earlier next time for a fuller experience.

    Lentils

My first time being here. My sis in law brought me here and I have to say this place is amazing. I got the chicken sandwich and as the side lentils. We shared this dish. It was more than enough food for the both of us. The bread and dessert was bomb. I bought two different types of bread. I really wanted to try the tres leches. I was already stuffed. I will come back to try it. Our server was Alfonso, such a sweet and hard working server. He was very attentive and on point. Most amazing service I ever had at a restaurant. ***Please tip your server.*** The atmosphere is great and the place is clean. I would definitely recommend this place. I am coming back for sure soon.

Amazing food, usually busy so I would be prepared for a wait and line out the door. But boy is it worth it! Best pan dulcet in San Antonio. I love their French toast.

    Reyes F.

Visiting this area, thought we'd stop in, busy and line outside that didn't take long! Ordered food and came out delicious. Ordered the Ranchero Benedict with chipotle hollandaise sauce- this you gotta try. Had the side compenchana (fideo& black been soup) would order again!!! Alfonso was attentive to our table needs, and greeted us with smiles, laughter, and quick conversation. Inside was busy, but tables not to close together so you could enjoy your food and conversation. This is a place to stop for sweet and savory food.. we will be back.

The idea of the place is the only reason i have it a try. The Ambience, the vibe & the extended menu all good. However they're just selling you a dream. The baked goods aren't any good. Pre packaged snacks taste better. The Carrajillos aren't good. Everything is over priced. All the bread in the front are smushed together, not aesthetic at all. I've been to Paris, London, California& many other places that actually sell good pastries. This place is definitely at the VERY bottom. $38 for 2 breads & two drinks is robbery for the quality i'm getting. Services was a lil slow, their check out system needs to be improved.

Unfortunately, the food was very disappointing, which is why I'm giving 3 stars. I ordered the veal Schnitzel with mushroom gravy (Jägerschnitzel) and red cabbage. The red cabbage was also very undercooked and completely lacked flavor. Overall, I personally did not find the food authentic or representative of true German cooking. What truly saved this experience was the outstanding customer service. Our server, Joseph, was attentive, professional, and genuinely kind throughout the meal. I also greatly appreciated Mr. Adam, the kitchen manager, who personally came out to discuss my concerns. He handled the constructive criticism with professionalism and openness, and I truly respected the fact that he listened carefully and considered my feedback regarding the sauce.
