One of the machines was also broken, so even though the barista wanted to recommend the Beauregard, he couldn't make it. He suggested the vanilla latte. I also ordered a cortado and a blondie (cranberry-walnut) courtesy of Scratch Kitchen. For the King William area, parking is the best. There are plenty of spots behind the building!! There's also a side and front entrance. While I waited for my cortado to cool, I ate about half the blondie and it was delicious. It was like a blondie had an identity crisis and wanted to live its best life as a scone. I loved it - but then again, you can never go wrong with Scratch Kitchen. The cortado was foamy and started off aggressively bitter, but by the last swig I was tasting some magic. A very interesting ride, how I ended up not caring for it at first but then enjoying it. The vanilla latte gave me pause. It kinda tasted like it had vanilla extract instead of vanilla syrup, but it was still pretty tasty nonetheless. I'm pretty stoked about this spot. It's got so much space, the outlets are at seat-level so you can work comfortably on your laptop, and the background noise is unobtrusive. A great little getaway spot that I look forward to visiting again.
