Stopped in for a coffee on a Saturday and the tables were packed. Managed to grab one of the last seats. It's a moody location with everything black decor. However it gets a lot of sunlight so the space still feels open. The got a specialty latte and it was delicious. On the Saturday afternoon it was the kind of coffee shop for people to come in a chat not the quietly read a book/work. So just depends on your vibe. Drinks were good and they had a few pastries for sale.

Gravves Coffee is a major standout in Halloween City San Antonio! This coffee spot's aesthetic is a great nod to the goth-style and likes of this city. Their coffee is all crafted when ordered and it's all worth the wait. Small menu but do take the recommendations of others or do what I did and go with what the barista suggests. I had an iced Forest Dweller that looked so great in the Gravves branded plastic cup. All of the details here from the goth-style decor, chill seating area, and down to the simple black & white branded coffee bags for sale. I loved enjoying my coffee in the dark end of the corner and watching people come in and go out with coffee in hand. Wifi is fast and they even have some of their drinks bottled up in the small fridge next to their branded tees and sweaters. It's never too hot for a Gravves black cozy sweater when you're goth. I journaled while I was here and the music and low humming of the coffee machines made it relaxing to get some words down. Parking could be a thing but just be cool and patient and try rounding through the lot again if you don't find anything. Or just have your ride drive around as you run in and out to grab a coffee. The Xeno latte looks like it would be worth to diiiie for (haha! get it?!)!

The staff were all nice. My husband and I tried Gravves because he thought it was my vibe, which I love a good gothy moody place but this wasn't quite that for me. I've never been to a minimalist coffee spot and I'm still not sure how to feel about it. It felt like there was wasted space? The furniture was very modest/minimalist. The coffee was good, I got an Americano plain and didn't get that gross burnt aftertaste some places have. Husband settled for water and a donut. Donut wasn't anything to write home about but it was okay. Over all it was an okay experience, definitely not what it was made out to be online though which was a bummer

The elixir latte is so cool and yummy this uber flavored latte taste like a concha or sweetbread I love it so much. Baristas are so nice and the service was attentive and efficient even during a busy hour. The space is so clean and chill plenty of open space. Will be back!

I've passed y this coffee shop many times and never stopped because it always appeared as if it were closed. I caught a glimpse of someone inside as I was driving by so I turned around to see what it was all about. If you're into the dark ambience then this place is for you. If you're into great coffee, service and pastries, this place is also for you. The service was super kind, helpful and also patient ( I had lots of questions ). Gravves Coffee stands out immediately by the unique coffee drinks. Their use of unconventional ingredients and colors made me want to try them all. While I didn't try them all, I tried two different ones and went back the next day to try more. Yes, they were that good! This place is on McCollough and parking is on the side and rear of the building. Do yourself a favor and stop by. Don't ponder on what to get, just try anything, they're all good!

I tried the Forest Dweller and the Elixir Latte, and the Forest Dweller was easily my favorite, it was rich, earthy, and absolutely delicious without any overpowering sweetness. The Elixir Latte brings a light ube sweetness, but the flavor sits more quietly. It leans subtle rather than bold. In contrast, the Forest Dweller delivered depth and earthiness that really lit up my palate. If you're drawn to pronounced flavor profiles, Forest is the standout. The barista was super helpful with recommendations, and the shop itself is surprisingly spacious with a cozy couch and several tables and chairs. Highly recommend stopping in!

I really wanted to love it here because it's in a really cool location and the inside is also really cool. Definitely a good space to work if you're bored of working from home. But I am blaming this on ordering wrong, I got the latte with activated charcoal in it and I just couldn't get my mind around the fact of my coffee was literally black. I do like a stronger coffee flavor as well!

This place is okay. All black walls and seating. Like being backstage...somewhere. Drinks look cool but don't really taste like anything special. I came for the black ice cream which is also just more gimmick for the insta photo/til tok people. It had no flavor but looked cool!! Service is fast; but place crowds very quickly. Hope you like rubbing elbows! Highlight was the "Tough Love" cookies local vendor next to the coffee bar inside. Probably be back only for that!

Coffee Shop No. 511 Gravves Coffee San Antonio, TX June 10, 2025 The coffee shop is really not my style. I prefer when baristas smile and interact with customers. The service isn't bad. I am just an optimistic person who my sons call, "Bubbly." When I walk into coffee shops I want calmness and peace with joy frothing out of my espresso drinks. The place is dark. The cortado was fine. Enjoying life one cortado at a time!

Such a vibey spot! It's basically pitch black with a lot of natural lighting. The menu is the perfect size a few signature drinks and the classics. I got a cold brew with added lavender vanilla 1/2 the regular amount. But have been brought the Ube elixir. It's a must try! The purple drink is creamy and sweet. The baristas were friendly asked questions and were willing to explain the menu. Which makes this place that much more inviting.

I happened to find this place from Tik Tok, and this has now become our go to coffee place whenever we're in San Antonio. I love how the menu is simple, and not complicated. I usually get the Elixir I believe and it's Ube, which normally most places that do Ube Lattes don't really impress me, but this one does! My husband usually gets the Forest Dweller which is Pandan flavor and he loves it!

If you love dark, moody, ambient, goth/alt/otherwise black-drenched aesthetics, then this place is for you! I came on a rainy day, so the ambiance was just perfect. The coffee is a little pricey, but hand made, craft coffees always are, and for good reason. I got the Xeno latte, a charcoal and black sesame iced latte and it was delicious. It was crowded and busy, but not loud at all, and drinks come out rather quick. The baristas are definitely skilled at their craft, and although quitter than your typical coffee shop barista, they didn't hesitate to chat and answer questions when I had them. If for nothing else, visit to get a really neat drink. Its well worth it. Only qualm is that parking is limited and tight. and street parking is a little confusing to discern, but that's not exactly the shop's fault. Just something to keep in mind

Here's what made it amazing: * Tender, juicy smoked rib meat that practically melts in your mouth * Spicy jalapeño rice, fries, and charro beans layered inside * Wrapped in a perfectly crisped tortilla that holds it all together without falling apart Each bite was an explosion of smoky, spicy, savory goodness. The kind of flavor that makes you stop mid-bite and say "whoa." But what made this visit even better was the incredible woman behind the counter -- the one who made the jalapeño rice. Her kindness, warmth, and sweet spirit turned an amazing meal into a memorable experience. You can taste the love she puts into the food. This isn't just a burrito -- it's a full-on flavor event. Probably be nice if they cut the rack just a bit. We also got a plate from the Brazilian restaurant, but we just picked at it, cause we were full from the ribs. The bacon wrapped chicken was delicious, the sausage was good the steak, was ok, the could have used a better cut of meat. The place is really cool, kid friendly with a playscape.
