Smooth espresso, just the right touch of chocolate, nothing overpowering. It actually tastes like coffee first, which is rare and appreciated. The Elixir ube drink was the standout though I enjoy a hot latte so I also appreciate their flexibility to cater to my preferences. I had a wonderful experience at Graves! I came in one morning with a large order (about 15 drinks) and they took their time to make sure my order was accurate. Wifi is fast and they even have some of their drinks bottled up in the small fridge next to their branded tees and sweaters. It's never too hot for a Gravves black cozy sweater when you're goth. I journaled while I was here and the music and low humming of the coffee machines made it relaxing to get some words down. I've never been to a minimalist coffee spot and I'm still not sure how to feel about it. It felt like there was wasted space? The furniture was very modest/minimalist. My wife and I are coffee connoisseurs. Not only are we working our way through all 50 states, ordering from local roasters, we love a good local coffee shop. In fact, our first date was in a coffee shop. Tried Gravves for the first time last Saturday. The first thing that struck me was what seemed to be wasted space. Are they keeping all that space as a dance floor? There is so much space which could be filled with neat, comfortable seating, neat lighting. The baristas knew what they were doing though...drinks seem to get cranked out fast. Unfortunately, our morning there was ruined by the tattoo shop next door. I guess some of the crowd parked where they shouldn't have, leading to one of the tattoo artists coming in yelling that they'd already called a tow truck. Really dampened the mood. We left shortly after because the rude tattoo dude didn't have to handle the situation that way. So, yeah, parking is an issue. The interior has very little seating and could accommodate a lot more if they put more tables and chairs in there. There is a lot of open unused space which is odd to me. There's no official parking but there's plenty of space in the lot next to the truck to park for a little bit if you're coming to pick up a drink. I tried the Forest Dweller Latte, and it is a pandan & coffee drink. The combo works really well together and you can either drink it mixed or leave it separated for a few sips to adjust the amount of pandan that's mixed into the coffee. The coffee itself is delicious on its own.
