Loved this place! I got one of the specialty coffees it was a brown sugar with raw sugar shaken espresso and it was really good!! Price was very reasonable/on point for an espresso drink, I got a regular size which is 16oz. The truck is super cute aesthetic, I love the yellow theme. The owner has matching yellow and black seating right out the truck which is great for waiting for your drink. This is the vibe I've been looking for that I feel is hard to find in San Antonio coffee shops/trucks - culture and passion for coffee.

I had the iced Apple Sin latte and thought it was nothing special. Especially because I have had the best seasonal apple latte at Gravves coffee a block or so over. Shine had his soft opening and is gearing up for his Grand Opening next week. I think he's ready. The coffee is super excellent and smooth. I had an iced caramel latte with oat milk and it was incredible. Not too sweet and really hit the spot this hot June day. Shine has lactose free alternatives for those of you who are vegan or have sensitive tummies (like me!). The owner is SO NICE, you guys. He was so fun to make conversation with, and I loved hearing about how he got interested in coffee and called the truck his Pandemic Baby. I'm so glad he took the plunge and opened. This is already going to be a popular spot, I can feel it. The menu is small but powerful, even serving up my favorite drink, the cortado. However, due to the heat, I had to get something ice cold. When he's officially open please take some time to swing by.

Shine is the best. Good vibes, amazing coffee. My husband and I come here often. Lately it's been once a week. I change up my order to try new things; the mocha latte, caramel latte, and chai are all delicious and full of flavor. My husband, though, sticks to his regular order of the Apple Sin latte every single time. Idk how the owner put all the amazing flavors of an apple pie in a latte, but dang, it's so good! This coffee truck deserves more recognition and praise. Try it out! read more

Preface: I'm like sort of an expert. I drink a lot of coffee, not because I need 7 cups a day to keep me awake, but because I genuinely like drinking coffee. Here's how I feel. Starbucks is NOT real coffee. Unless you like the taste of burnt tires. If you do, this review is not for you. Chapter 1: The Review I'm new in town and was a bit biased when I went on a hunt for my "go-to" coffee because I have a favorite back home and nothing ever compared. Try as I might to find anything as good but I always went back to French Truck coffee (my home is New Orleans). In comes Shine Coffee and French Truck is now kicked to the curb. French Truck? Don't know her. I crave Shine on the reg. Daily. All the time. I cry when Monday's roll around. I'd drink it the way I drink water if I could. I went home recently and said: "What the hay, let's get some French Truck for old times' sake..." and was immediately let down because it wasn't Shine Coffee. Should have known. It's like going back and having lunch with an ex you dumped because you found someone else who could treat you right. There's that moment where you're like "omg what did I see in you?" Chapter 2: The Conclusion By now he knows what car I have and what I want before I even roll up to the window. I have my usual but I've tried quite a few drinks and was impressed with them all. He makes each one to order so go take some selfies by the graffiti while you wait and he'll be done before you can take one that's worth posting. You won't be disappointed (in the coffee). Listen. If you want great quality and great taste, just go. Leave the others behind and go with someone better. read more

First off this place is amazing, the vibe is just right for a truck especially in the area it's in. My first visit I was greeted by the owner who had the most amazing smile and that was extra icing on the cake. He took the time to have conversation and get to know his customers which is greatly appreciated. I had the iced tea and it was the BOMB.com. On my second visit, not only was I greeted but actually remembered what we talked about on my first visit. I had the cortado with caramel and it was amazing. I'll more than likely be back sometime this week if not the weeks to come. read more

Pulled up on a Friday late night with my family ordered the standard 5 tacos. They are a bit pricey as well. I ordered the carne Asada and my mother in law ordered the chicken. While it did seem like it tasted good it was super greasy. (TMI coming up) When I woke up the next morning my I noticed my bowels were literally moving the next day, (I counted about 9 times). I felt bloated and everything. My wife even told me that as we were pulling off she witnessed the cook I believe his name is Julio eating some of the product while he was preparing peoples food (the side door of the food truck was open so you could see right in). Funny enough we decided to go back Saturday evening to give them another try, thinking it would be better, BOY was we wrong. I ordered the same order plus charro Beans, elote (corn in a cup) and 3 cans of sprite. This time we took literally one bite and the meat was DRYER than the Saharan desert both the carne asada and the chicken. (Tasted like some reheated old meat or meat that had been made days prior). We were already at the hotel at this point and was infuriated!!! We ended up calling and I believe I spoke to Julio (or whoever the cook is) over the phone. After lying saying that he cooked the meat fresh that day he stuttered I told him aint no way the meat was fresh. He then said and I quote " I cooked the meat "a couple days ago" then said "sorry I burnt it or overcooked it". (Knowing that why would you serve that to me?) I then stated "yes it tasted old period". I requested a refund in which he agreed to. Driving all the way back I brought the food back as well. Julio (or whoever the cooks name is) tried to plead his case to me saying that the meat is fresh and took a fork and tasted the food himself and then tried to offer me the food. I told him "no I don't want to taste it, just refund me please" in which he did. Dishonesty, Not handling food with care, lying. Is something that crosses the line and I won't be back. *Also if the owner is reading this I have the phone conversation recorded and the video evidence to show proof this whole interaction, so do not just glaze over this review* I don't like writing bad reviews, but this one is for sure warranted. Seems like they will dress up the taco and selling you some "old meat" people just be careful and mindful when coming to this taco truck. "The Earths Best Taco" they say... that's a stretch!

Once we got to this place, there are around, 8 food truck, two Birria trucks, one Mexican food truck, a Brazilian food truck, hot chicken food truck. And a snow cone place. We got the Dino wrex plate, one beef Dino rib, a full rack of pork ribs, there was Mac and cheese inside the rolled up rack of ribs. The meat sat on a layer of French fries. This plate fed five of us, still had some left overs. The only thing I didn't enjoy was that we had to cut the string off the rack of ribs, and that we had to pull the ribs apart. Probably be nice if they cut the rack just a bit. We also got a plate from the Brazilian restaurant, but we just picked at it, cause we were full from the ribs. The bacon wrapped chicken was delicious, the sausage was good the steak, was ok, the could have used a better cut of meat. The place is really cool, kid friendly with a playscape. Enclosed area, so the kids stay in the area. Also a full bar, I had a couple of beers. And the best wasn't the Brazilian lemonade.

This place was a very special surprise. All things in my mind brought this down from a 5 star to a 4. Clean up the tables is definitely something the restaurant has control over. We ordered the Special House Bun with beef, pork, chicken, shrimp and a crispy egg roll. The proportion of vermicelli noodles to fresh lettuce, carrots, cucumber, bean sprouts and peanuts provide d that perfect bite were one ingredient dominated the other. All the proteins were cooked perfectly. The real winner was the lemongrass Banh mi with once again perfectly proportioned ingredients. We also ordered the fresh spring roll, which never came but wasn't missed except that they did try to charge us for but did remove them. They definitely have some work to make this a comfortable dining experience but I wouldn't let it stop you from trying some phenomenal Vietnamese food.
