Shine is the best. Good vibes, amazing coffee. My husband and I come here often. Lately it's been once a week. I change up my order to try new things; the mocha latte, caramel latte, and chai are all delicious and full of flavor. My husband, though, sticks to his regular order of the Apple Sin latte every single time. Idk how the owner put all the amazing flavors of an apple pie in a latte, but dang, it's so good! Loved this place! I got one of the specialty coffees it was a brown sugar with raw sugar shaken espresso and it was really good!! Price was very reasonable/on point for an espresso drink, I got a regular size which is 16oz. The truck is super cute aesthetic, I love the yellow theme. The owner has matching yellow and black seating right out the truck which is great for waiting for your drink. I had the iced Apple Sin latte and thought it was nothing special. Especially because I have had the best seasonal apple latte at Gravves coffee a block or so over. I like the vibe and the location being across a thrift store. The service was great. Just might drive passed it on the weekends to a little known spot that is not on yelp but I'll gate keep that place for now. 3.5 star as it is the 3rd or 4th best coffee within a 4 block radius. read more

San Antonio's newest (and coolest looking) coffee truck has arrived! Right off of N. St. Mary's street is the raddest little truck. Shine had his soft opening and is gearing up for his Grand Opening next week. I think he's ready. The coffee is super excellent and smooth. I had an iced caramel latte with oat milk and it was incredible. Not too sweet and really hit the spot this hot June day. Shine has lactose free alternatives for those of you who are vegan or have sensitive tummies (like me!). The owner is SO NICE, you guys. He was so fun to make conversation with, and I loved hearing about how he got interested in coffee and called the truck his Pandemic Baby. I'm so glad he took the plunge and opened. This is already going to be a popular spot, I can feel it. The menu is small but powerful, even serving up my favorite drink, the cortado. However, due to the heat, I had to get something ice cold. I'm visiting San Antonio and staying nearby. I grabbed an americano and it was sublime. Complex roasted and chocolate flavors with a little sweetness and no excess bitterness. He knows how to brew! Wish I could take you back to Michigan with me. read more

I usually order just a basic ice coffee black. They didn't have it just yet so he recommended something that was essentially an iced americano but shaken - I can't remember the exact name. It was delicious, really smooth. They're located in a parking lot with plenty of parking and a cute little shaded bench to sip your coffee. The owner was friendly. Preface: I'm like sort of an expert. I drink a lot of coffee, not because I need 7 cups a day to keep me awake, but because I genuinely like drinking coffee. Here's how I feel. Starbucks is NOT real coffee. Unless you like the taste of burnt tires. If you do, this review is not for you. Chapter 1: The Review I'm new in town and was a bit biased when I went on a hunt for my "go-to" coffee because I have a favorite back home and nothing ever compared. Try as I might to find anything as good but I always went back to French Truck coffee (my home is New Orleans). In comes Shine Coffee and French Truck is now kicked to the curb. French Truck? Don't know her. I crave Shine on the reg. Daily. All the time. I cry when Monday's roll around. I'd drink it the way I drink water if I could. I went home recently and said: "What the hay, let's get some French Truck for old times' sake..." and was immediately let down because it wasn't Shine Coffee. Should have known. It's like going back and having lunch with an ex you dumped because you found someone else who could treat you right. There's that moment where you're like "omg what did I see in you?" Chapter 2: The Conclusion By now he knows what car I have and what I want before I even roll up to the window. I have my usual but I've tried quite a few drinks and was impressed with them all. He makes each one to order so go take some selfies by the graffiti while you wait and he'll be done before you can take one that's worth posting. You won't be disappointed (in the coffee). Listen. If you want great quality and great taste, just go. Leave the others behind and go with someone better. read more

First off this place is amazing, the vibe is just right for a truck especially in the area it's in. My first visit I was greeted by the owner who had the most amazing smile and that was extra icing on the cake. He took the time to have conversation and get to know his customers which is greatly appreciated. I had the iced tea and it was the BOMB.com. On my second visit, not only was I greeted but actually remembered what we talked about on my first visit. I had the cortado with caramel and it was amazing. I'll more than likely be back sometime this week if not the weeks to come. read more

It's a smooth blend of Mexican vanilla steamed with milk and a touch a cinnamon. This coffee was so enjoyable to drink. In addition, I purchased a bacon, egg and cheese taco. Of course the taco was made with a homemade tortilla...pretty standard fare in San Antonio. Totally miss homemade tortilla... My server and the barista were super personable and helpful. I got their cold brew and it was yummy. I like coffee and most times vendor coffees are always to sweet and I rarely taste the coffee. Mila's cold brew coffee was good! Flavorful. I would get it again!

It's nice that they offer lactose free milk for no additional charge. Both of our coffees were great! I love that the vanilla latte isn't overly sweet. It's a cute setup with multiple food trucks and tables to sit at outside if weather permits. The service was very friendly and they gave us some complimentary theory coffee stickers since it was our first visit! I'll definitely be back this fall/ winter to try some hot drinks.
