She asked me a few questions about what I like, then made me one of the best lattes I've had in my life. She CLAIMS it was Mexican vanilla, cinnamon, and light brown sugar, but I'm pretty sure there's a secret ingredient in there somewhere. Probably had something to do with the locally-roasted coffee beans she sources from another women-owned business (she did tell me the name, but my coffee hadn't kicked in yet). 10/10. Anyway, The Pour Box is a warm, super-inclusive space with delicious coffee and immaculate vibes. And I'll definitely be back soon. Thanks for making my morning, Desiree!

They also explained their mission and non profit to help recovering addicts. It's more of a "pay what you can" system. It's also only cash but they have an atm there. The vibe was very chill and bright. They had a good amount of of seating inside and a bench and a few tables out side as well. They have a variety of baked goods and drinks and also have to fill shelves of crystals and tinctures, teas and stuff that you can shop through. They have a kids corner as well which makes it the perfect place to chill and relax while your kids are entertained. I tried the lavender matcha and brown butter rice crispy. The rice crispy was ok. It tasted buttery but it was a lil more chewy than I expected. The matcha was super good! It was very creamy with the right balance of flavor. I would definitely go back for another.

But I was delighted to bring my sister here for a cortado and some sisterly bonding time. We both ordered a cortado but with a different coffee and the difference was very prominent! If you're interested in learning about flavor notes, and overall you appreciate the art of the craft, I highly recommend. My cortado's espresso tasted complex and warm. The tasting notes included black tea, cacao, and apricot. My sister's cortado was more on the fruity and bitey side, with notes of baking spices, nectarine, and apple strudel ala mode. I also ordered Resonance, which is matcha over coconut water, and it was very refreshing. NoFi is a pretty great spot to sit back and unwind and learn a thing or two about coffee, but in a very unpretentious way. The folks are incredibly kind and passionate about what they do. Hopefully it won't take another year for me to come back.
