I appreciate simple veggies. Mexican burger- excellent! Juicy burger with cheese, jalapenos, pico de gallo, bacon and the works. The tater tots had a nice and crispy outer texture as it should. The shrimp was good and the fish was good but those other things... We'll always love the drinks, the long wooden bar, and the ambiance at the Esquire Tavern, but we'll eat somewhere else and come here for before or after dinner drinks. About as chill and low key as a you can get for an establishment. You can have good conversation with the man himself. There's literally 2 people that work here. Dan and the sweet old lady who has been holding the fort down for as long as I've gone. Sure there are no French fries; the burger makes up for it. They give you a bag of chips, have Mexican coke to wash your food down: there's 2 TVs which Dan will usually be airing whichever sporting event is going on. Dan puts a lot of care in his craft and the fact he does this as a side gig, is hella impressive! Come give this place a try! One of the best burgers you'll have in town!

This was good but lacking a bit of flavor, however she and I both agreed that was on her for taking the jalapeños off the dog. Both dogs were extremely tasty, and we devoured both. I also got an order of curly fries loaded with their chili and cheese. For me, these did not have to go as HARD as they did. The chili they are using at Dogfather is seriously good, with a slight tang and a good amount of spice. It thrills but does not take away from your meal with too much heat. Very tasty. My only feedback is that Dogfather needs a larger space! There's a good size outside seating area, but for times like today when it's raining people need some coverage. They're doing it right and the crowds want to come! As I have stated this is a local favorite. If you live nearby, make it a regular spot. Hubby had a Pastarami Smacker - super tasty and so big he could only eat half. His sourdough bread sandwich had a full half pound of pastrami on it.
