These sandwiches are delicious, fresh, full of flavor, and the services it top notch! First it's a small venue with a free table and a little dark inside. Next time I need to take a picture of the menu because it's not really the same as the one online. I believe the online menu is where you will find the vegan/vegetarian options. It's entirely possible that I'm my panic to order, I missed it, but I don't think I did. Anyway, I went up to the counter to order the Ceza. It was either, cheese, hummus, arugula, sprouts, ranch, onions, relish. Lots of goodies. I asked for it without turkey and ranch. The gal that took my order (the manager) asked if I wanted to sub another protein. I said more hummus was fine and she suggested the chickpea salad. Oh yeah! I love chickpea everything (hence double hummus) so YES PLEASE! This was a great sub. It went so well with the arugula, sprouts, and relish. The mild chickpea flavor and the tangy relish were *chef's kiss*. Also the bread is fantastic. Slight crunchiness on the outside and pillowy softness on the inside. Wicked wich is a staple downtown for sandwiches, they have a sandwich of the week, you can get their sandwiches cold or hot and they're made hot and fresh. They are less busy at night, but pick up speed in the lunch time and it may be hard to order so get here early! I always get the hero because it's tasty and has all my favorite vegetables. Food was okay. Not a big deal as I thought it would be. I was expecting lots of flavors or at least a very unique taste from other reviews but was a bit disappointed. First, the bread isn't long and they don't put a lot of meat in it, but veggies. Secondly, in my opinion, the sandwich and a soda is over priced and not worth it. Service was fast and easy. Not too many customers when I walked in. The place isn't that big and only has 2 or 3 small tables to seat and eat. The Wicked Witch is one of my newest favorite mom and pop sandwich places next to Zito's. The service was friendly and the place inside is super clean. I ordered a large Italian with mustard, no mayo, toasted with a bag of Zipp's voodoo chips and a Mexican Coke. Total was about $12. My sub was made the way I liked it and was very yummy. Wow!! I've been seeing this spot on Tik Tok and Instagram and I've been wanting to try for months, and today I finally did! The vibe of the restaurant was so cute and it was very clean inside. Hands down the best Italian sub I've had in San Antonio. Pictured is their version of an Italian sub, called the 'Hero', with double meat. They were also able to customize it, as I asked for it without pepperoncinis and cherry peppers. Delish!!! About the only thing separating it from an East Coast sub is that the bread's slightly different. It's more delicate and works excellent for cold subs but would wilt if used for a hot roast beef or a Philly Cheesesteak. The Wicked Wich is definitely more of a take-out place. It's got 3 counter tables inside and 2-3 two-person tables outside. Plenty of street parking around. *Definitely* worth your time to visit.
