This is such a cool and trendy market in "The Pearl" area of San Antonio. They support lots of local businesses and carry a lot of local products! Prices are high but everything seems to be great quality. I love that there are stations around the market where you can purchase prepared food! They have a coffee shop, butcher, bakery, burger stand, poke stand, make fresh tortillas, etc. Two of the restaurants connected to the market are recognized by the Michelin guide! I believe it is Mezquite and Nicosi. While I was here, I tried a burger which was really good! Definitely grab a burger if you come to shop. Also, I took to go a pizza from Fife and Farrow which was very delicous! Parking is limited and is also paid. You may want to plan to arrive before peak hours to make sure you get a spot. Parking is paid but you can get two hours parking free with a validated receipt from a purchase from Pullman Market. read more

Farmers market meets global Mexican food hall inspo. -- Pullman Market in San Antonio's Pearl District is one of those places I go as much for sensory appreciation as for shopping. On some occasions, I'll say, "I'm going to Pullman Market." The beau asks, "What for?" My answer: "To feel inspired." There are a few entrances, but you get the full effect coming through the front passing by the wood-fire grilled wagyu hot dog station before everything opens up around you. There's a little bit of everything here -- plants, produce, sauces, wine, indulgent bakery, coffee, a unique tallow body-care station, beautiful dried and living flower arrangements, and an impressive meat counter. We've especially enjoyed the wagyu, bavette and bone-in pork chops. I love seeing couples, families and solo adventurers wander through, and the whole place feels more like an elevated marketplace food hall you'd stumble into while traveling. The concierge has always been friendly and genuinely helpful. We've picked up food, wine, Momofuku soy sauce, holiday ornaments, skincare and plenty of fresh toasted Sonoran-style corn tortillas -- our favorite tortilla style and one we were delighted to first experience at Mezquite. I also love that Pullman Market lets you bring a little of the restaurant experience home, with select takeaways and ingredients connected to the food concepts throughout the market. On a few visits, we noticed the tortilla count was short, so we double-check before leaving now. When we brought it to management's attention, they were responsive and took care of it. We also once struck out looking for hominy and Mexican cheese, even though several teammembers throughout the market tried to track them down for us. Prices are on the higher end but the rewards program is worth joining if you come often, and I'll review the individual restaurants separately. Sometimes I leave with dinner, sometimes flowers or something unexpected, and sometimes just a few new ideas. Either way, Pullman Market remains one of my favorite Pearl stops for browsing, tasting and expanding the palate. read more

I have often heard of Pullman market being compared to Los Angeles' "Erewhon". Not to be biased... but Pullman is way better! No comparison needed. Pullman is nowhere near as expensive as erewhon and has a fantastic and quality selection of products! From baked goods, a coffee shop, to fresh produce, meats, fresh food etc... in the back of the market there are a couple of restaurants and a bar. I once wrote "Wonderful market in the Pearl, such variety of items with an excellent layout and arrangement. Very similar in some ways to Pike Place in Seattle all they need are florists and fish mongers!" Having recently returned to Place Place Market in Seattle, I realized Pullman is nothing like Pike Place, in size, quality, and ambience. The produce area is almost gone, and the wine area is greatly diminished. It's a ersatz copy of a place like Pike Place, but it's a good place to get out of the heat. read more

Came inside to browse foods and items and use the restroom. We listened to a wonderful Mariachi band that was top tier, got some SPF, and looked at all the foods inside. It's loaded with items and it is a great addition to The Pearl area which I absolutely loved. read more

We just finished a convention downtown and then headed to the Pearl District. In the parking garage, we ran into a group of cooks who recommended going to the Pullman Market. Walk all the way to the back and go to Burger by the Butcher. We had the traditional burger and a bacon burger. Both had great seasoning and were perfectly made, served on a delicious bun. We also enjoyed house-seasoned fries. Overall, it was a great experience with excellent service and a cool, clean environment. read more

A place like this makes you want to move to the Pearl District. This local market is expansive with plenty of eats and treats, plus an expansive locally-focused grocery section showing the locations of where most of the food is sourced from. It felt like being in a constant farmer's market. The only downside is, like your Central Markets, Whole Foods, etc., there is a premium price tag you'll have to pay. If you live in the Pearl District, you probably can afford it. I need to swing by here again and grab some food, but for now I'll leave impressed that a store like this can exist in San Antonio, with this being my first time hearing of it. Avoided due to anticipated problems with parking. Pearl is so filled with affected and editorial instagram locals in some sort of daily cosplay of care free affluence when in fact many are broke as hell. There are others mainly business class or tourists but they stay at Hotel Emma and definitely have money, or their employer's corporate card. Then there are the real carb eating customers who are there to actually consume goods. I finally had a free weekday to go to Pullnam now two years after they opened and loved my experience. Parking in the Pullman market was easy. It really is $0 with validation and for up to 2 hours. I was looking for ground flax, they only had whole. Looking for cinnamon infused honey, they did not have. Just weird shit like lavender infused. I enjoyed the elevated feel of the place, very transporting and nicely curated with so many spaces in and out doors to sit and people watch or just hang out with friends. Love browsing this place so much! We've visited a few times over the last year and always have a fun time looking around. We've purchased coffee, some little gifty items like a mug and card, and snacks. They have so much great fresh produce and locally produced items, but we never are on the way home to Austin after visiting here. I have gone to the pizza restaurant, Mezquite, and Isadore - all located in the market. This is a fun place to walk around and they even had a dj the one day I was there. Public bathrooms are available and all connect in different ways to the restaurants. Plenty of parking lots outside. read more

It even has multiple restaurants within it where they make many style of great food. They have a fish monger, a huge dry-aging cabinet and butcher, and nice fresh produce! Pullman Market is a foodie gem located just north of downtown San Antonio. Artsy, great lighting, and filled with locally crafted goods. There are multiple Michelin star restaurants as well as more casual options in this comfortable complex, as well as the grocery market itself. The Pullman concierge is a friendly asset to the Market and has personally made me feel welcome each time I visit. I like the open concept and inviting indoor/outdoor seating options. Wish there was a bit more variety in the bakery section, but overall it's a nice place to eat, relax and maybe learn a bit about the namesake Pullman cars while you're at it. read more

While weaving hour way through the market, you will have your choice of a pizzeria, burger joint, cocktail bar, ice cream parlor, & coffee shop. If you are looking for an upscale dining experience, you should consider having dinner at ISIDORE, a Michelin star restaurant! The butcher counter offers excellent customer service and while not a huge selection, the quality is very good. I would love to see more options, especially marinaded or ready to cook meals. So far the cheese counter selections have been disappointing so we will continue to get our cheese for homemade pizza & charcuterie boards at Otto's in NB! But I do hope that the options will improve with customer feedback since they also have a fresh pasta counter. Next time, I would like to try the freshly made tortillas and enjoy a slice of sourdough pizza at FIFE & FARRO! Honestly the only major of the drawback of the Pullman is that the market is always so crowded! For a newly designed concept, it seems like traffic flow and large crowds were left out of the design process. And I don't understand why the music is so loud that you cannot hear when trying to make purchases. Oh and a final note - the parking lot is very small and has time limits that are strictly enforced. I was so hyped to find out about this market and grocery store, and especially about all the food options. The store itself is very cute with different sections, seating areas, food vendors to select from, and connects to actual restaurants. The mediocre review is for the "Burgers by the Butcher" place towards the end of the store. The Wagyu burger sounded really good and had good reviews, but it was really dry and not very flavorful. Usually Wagyu is known to be juicy and moist, but this tasted nothing like that caliber. It was disappointing but at least not very pricy. Fries were okay but pretty chopped up and not the style I prefer. Some of the other places looked promising like the ice cream and cafe. The poke/ceviche also sounded good on paper but when we walked by (maybe around 1.5-2 hours before closing), the quality of the raw fish didn't look too great and was a little discolored so we passed. Burgers By The Butcher was easily the best burger I had during my 4th of July trip to San Antonio. The must-try item is the Wagyu burger, it delivered exactly what you hope for from a great burger: incredible flavor, quality ingredients, and a perfectly cooked patty. The staff was another highlight. Everyone was friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful, which made the entire experience even better. The fries deserve a special mention as well. The amount you get for $5 is next level and one of the best values I came across during my trip. Burgers By The Butcher has officially earned a spot on my San Antonio food list. Coworkers kept raving about this place so I finally gave in. Walking into Pullman Market is like stepping through a culinary portal. Half grocery, half restaurant, and somehow all class. You've got dry aged beef staring at you from one side, pastries that belong in Paris on the other, and about six different smells of heaven floating around at once. We started at Burgers by the Butcher, sat at the bar, and ordered a Wagyu burger that was downright glorious. Juicy, balanced, and cooked with confidence. One of the better burgers I've had in a good while. I paired mine with a margarita that hit hard, exactly how I like it. The lady had a Bloody Mary, and it was bloody good indeed. After exploring the market a bit, we wandered over to the pasta and pizza spot. The Caesar salad looked like a mountain of cheese perfection, but truthfully, the flavor didn't match the presentation. Still, the vodka sauce pasta more than made up for it. Perfectly cooked rigatoni swimming in a rich tomato chile sauce, and those finely chopped shallots added an incredible pop. Straight money. And you know me, the moment I spot a flight on the menu, I'm halfway to saying cheers before the first pour hits the table. Three tidy glasses, all from Campania, smooth as silk and downright charming. Perfect for a slow San Antonio afternoon spent grazing, sipping, and pretending I know what I'm talking about. Pullman Market nails the concept. A food enthusiast's playground that makes you feel like you're on holiday without leaving town. I have been wanting to see what the Pullman market had to offer. It is located at the Pearl and has a variety of items to choose from. When you walk it has a nice spacious feel to it. There are different sections that showcase the products. I liked their pasta section and towards the back it looks like there is a nice restaurant. I was first introduced to the Pullman market by a very friendly local San Antonian whom I bumped into on the Riverwalk in the summer of 2024. This time round, I explored the Pullman market. There were a handful of interesting restaurants and bars inside. I checked out the fish, seafood, bakery, groceries, restrooms, etc. Much as I was wowed by the quality of the venue, food and concept, I didn't come out buying anything unlike at Whole Foods Market or Central Market or HEB. However, it's such a nice place to stroll through and check out. I believe I would try the restaurants inside if the opportunity presented itself. Maybe grab ice cream, soda, a sandwich, wrap, specialty items etc. There is a type of clientele for this place. Just bring your wallet. read more

This last time I was able to also visit the farmers market and is was amazing to see the number of vendors there. My favorite part is that everyone was evenly spaced out. The entire space is beautifully curated and full of locally sourced products, from fresh produce to artisanal goods. It's the perfect place to browse, shop, and get a feel for the local culture. We had an early dinner at the Italian restaurant inside and everything--from the warm, welcoming service to the delicious food--was exceptional. We also purchased treats from the bakery and everything was good Highly recommend visiting Pullman Market whether you're a local or just passing through. Stumbled upon this cute local grocery market while I was shopping at the Pearls District farmers market. They carry so much variety here it can easily be your one stop shop. I did notice they cater towards more healthy options so do expect to pay higher prices for the good quality. It kind of reminds me of a San Antonio version of "Eataly". I love coming to pullman market and seeing the different flowers. they swap out the candles in the candle section every so often, so there's a nice rotation going. I do recommend the ice cream shop inside, they have unique and tasty flavors. Though the store is pricey and I had hard time finding unflavored water, they do have much to offer. read more

What went amazing you ask? Everything! This is the epitome of "boutique grocers" reminding me a bit of Tiny Grocers, meets Royal Blue Grocery, meets Central Market. At my age, this would be my equivalent of a candy store! They have all the things that make me happy! It is beautiful, alive, energetic, and esthetic. I love how in a 3 minute span you will smell 10 different things. They have beautiful plants displayed outside, colorful dried flowers, tons of varieties of honey, and a beautiful wine cellar! And of course we all know that shopping on an empty stomach is a bad idea so take your pick of plenty of hot or cold food items, margaritas, beer, soda, coffee, or tea! I got the pepperoni pizza from Fifa & Farro on a cauliflower crust which was ah-mazing! And the strawberry panna cotta, which in all honesty was NOT what I expected, it felt a bit too much like boiled egg and it was salty (strange). From the bar across from them I got this fabulous margarita which is as strong as it should be, (went right home and took a nap). They have great music, indoor and outdoor dining, fresh meats, ceviche, burgers, and amazing pastries. This just might be my new favorite hangout. Oh, and the service is insane! Everyone there truly makes it their mission to make sure you have a wonderful experience. Bravo! This is truly the perfect touch to The Historic Pearl! read more
