NO INDOOR SEATING! This is the biggest downside because especially in the Texas heat BUT the worst part was the mosquitoes. Most of us got lots of bug bites so it was hard to enjoy our meal. I was getting super agitated fighting off bugs. I got two katsu sliders off their happy hour menu which was pretty good. The classic and the samurai/some asian one. Fries were good. Katsu is solid but a bit dry. Bread was good. Probably wouldn't come here again but the happy hour is pretty decent (about ten bucks for two slides and fries)

Krazy Katsu was such a fun foodie find! The American-Japanese fusion flavors were seriously so good, and everything we tried was packed with flavor. The burger with the egg yolk was easily one of my favorites -- messy in the best way, rich, and absolutely delicious. The whole experience felt unique and different from your typical burger spot. Definitely worth checking out if you're looking for something fun and flavorful in San Antonio. I'd absolutely come back!

The food was delicious and they had a super spicy sauce that I loved. Need to come back and try more. They had a matcha banana pudding that was soo good!

Visiting from Califas (SoCal) saw this place on TikTok and Omgg everything was so good 10/10!

Krazy Katsu is undoubtedly a hidden gem! It's pretty unassuming from the outside- a cute decorated train cart with some outdoor patio seating. But their food is easily some of the best Asian fusion in San Antonio. Everything was a FLAVOR BOMB. You cannot go without trying their pandan burger. And their banana pudding is so yummy. Their saiyan tacos are like bites of heaven ... But we tried everything and we're blown away. The staff is incredibly sweet and nice. The restroom is clean and there's seating inside but its hot either way so we enjoyed the shaded patio and tvs. Highly reccommend this place for anyone looking for something unique and flavorful.

They have great customer service, the food was so wonderful. We tried a bit of everything! Eating is all outside, and they have a large hanging canopy that keeps out the heat, so it was nice, but the only downside is we did have a lot of flies near us, makes it hard to enjoy when you keep having to swat away the flies. No fault of theirs really.

Bangin chicken for sure but their burgers are super worth trying too, especially if they have the pandan buns available. Tons of great flavors and toppings galore, the macaroni topped chicken sando is my go-to and if they have the curry katsu, I'm elated. Take the homies, order some of their chicken slider flights and maybe split a burger and you'll find your new go-to order but I haven't been disappointed by any visit.

We stopped for coffee and saw the cute chicken logo on the building, so of course we had to check it out. Very reasonable prices! We had the chicken strip meal which came with fries and a small cole slaw and a $5 smash burger. The chicken was moist and tender. They have a large selection of dipping sauces! The smash burger was also delicious. Cashier was very friendly. They have a small seating area indoors, and a very nice patio seating area. Definitely recommend that you check it out!

I think I just found my new favorite restaurant here in San Antonio! Krazy Katsu is located at The Yard Shopping Center. The complex is a really cool area where all the stores are located in train carts, next to a train track. The patio was really nice as there was an event going on and music too. That patio was also pet friendly! The lady who took my order was also very patient and happy to explain their menu as they have a lot of choices. We got the *5 piece Katsu Nunchucks Meal that comes with fries, slaw and 3 sauces (BBQ Gochujang, Chipotle Ranch, and Smack Sauce) We also got *1 Slide Chick with the Asian Hot Honey Flavor. The total came out to $43.88 with 2 drinks, but considering the fact the tenders were HUGEE... I'd say it was definitely worth it! The chicken was crispy but juicy while the sauces were all super unique and flavorful. There were so many unique, yummy options on the menu that I had a hard time choosing. I will definitely be back again to try more on their menu and highly recommend everyone visit Krazy Katsu to satisfy your fried chicken cravings!

Been wanting to try this place for a while but didn't realize how close it was to the quarry! Took it to-go, the location is a little small but with a huge patio and tvs on the deck. The food was great and the katsu is very crispy and crunchy. We both loved the flavors of the katsu, Mac, and OG fries. The vivis fries were good but I feel like the cheese sauce solidified too fast and then it was hard to eat. Maybe a little less sauce on the to-go orders would work better but since we did to-go it could also be the distance we drove home before eating. The lady near the front counter was super nice and helpful to help us get our order. Will need to return when we are near the quarry.

OMFG!!! This place was off the charts. I was hangry and couldn't decide what I wanted. They ended up recommending a choice with 3 sliders. The Deebo was to die for. Also ordered a side of filthy animal fries that could have been a full course meal all on its own. This was just the food. The people there added to the place. They came out and talked to us for quite awhile. Made us feel like we had been going there for years. Just moved right around the corner from here. This is going to become a weekly visit for us. If I could give higher than 5 stars I would.

This place is awesome. The food is delicious and you get a lot of it. You will no walk away hungry. The staff were very nice and friendly. The only thing I would give a negative is the fries. The fries are just okay. They are too thick in my opinion. The seasoning was good not great. I think it's a place to check out if you're interested in a good meal.

An amazing chicken sandwich spot housed in a cool old train car!

Krazy Katsu is home to the biggest and possibly the crispiest chicken sandwich this side of the Mississippi - and the other side, too! These sandwiches are MASSIVE! Come hungry! The options are plentiful, but my go-to faves are the Anchor and the Deebo. All their sandwiches come on fluffy buns made fresh by a local (legendary) bakery and brought in daily. Pro tip: order the 3 slide chicks and try 3 different "mini" sandwiches. Be warned, even the sliders are substantial. The sides are great, too! Their house-made Japanese pickled cucumbers are tangy and sweet; the perfect side for the sandwiches. Low-carb? No prob! Ask for grilled chicken (and double the protein - because... why not?) on any of the sandwiches! One more thing, and this is a fun one: this place makes the tastiest smash burger in San Antonio! If chicken isn't your thing or you want to change things up, order one of their burgers. You won't regret it.

Do they have grilled chicken or a gluten free bun?

Hi Lauren! We do offer grilled options for any of our chicken items. While we don’t have gluten-free buns, you’re welcome to bring your favorite gluten-free bun, and we’ll gladly use it for your order. Hope to see you soon!

Any vegan option whether it be a tofu katsu or chikn katsu type sandwiches?

The only vegan option would be the Mac n cheese

Apparently the kitchen was short staffed so instead of ordering a breakfast item we ordered a couple of paninis. The food took some time to come out but again, they were short staffed and it's Sunday brunch , there's gonna be a wait and that's fine! When we did get our food we both really enjoyed our paninis! The Green Belt Melt was delicious and not over stuffed, the bread was in my opinion the best part though. Really tasty and crunchy! The inside of the place was also super warm but the building itself is an old house, like a very old house, so again what can you expect? Overall we'd definitely come back but hopefully get a table downstairs and go earlier in the day when it isn't as hot.

The interior of this place was so unique, the staff were welcoming, and the food was absolutely delicious. Naturally we had to sit in the upstairs dining area just for the novelty of it, and while we didn't have to wait too long for our meal, we had fun playing the trivia card game that was on each table. I ordered the Parmo Pollo Panini with Tomato Basil Soup. The chicken in the Panini was a little dry, but coupled with the Tomato Basil Soup I could hardly tell. While they were delicious together, both were just as tasty on their own. The Panini was a good hearty sandwich, and the Tomato Basil Soup was packed full with delicious spices. I ended up taking up half of both the Soup and Panini to go as the portions were so large. I'm glad we went at the start of lunch rush as it was packed by the time we left. I'd highly recommend W D if you're after a satisfying meal!

This has been our routine more or less every other Saturday for the past five years. So I have somewhere around 130 sandwiches under my belt, and my gifted little Bat-Potato has maybe double that (he loops his momma into the rotation on her weeks). --- Be forewarned that it's peak midlife lunch. By that I mean Tay's doesn't have niceties like an all-you-can-drink Bloody Mary bar. Frankly, I'm not even sure Tay has a liquor license. On the surface, Tay's seems to prioritize the whims of my nine-year-old. But it feels wholesome as fuck. Wholesome like...you'll get an enthusiastic "HI FRIENDS!" on the way in, guaranteed. It's not unlike arriving at a preschool; I love it. Tay's is an order-at-the-counter place. I don't need to order (they've memorized mine), but you probably will, at least the first few times you go. They seem to be pretty good at remembering after that. You would think that 130 sandwiches would have afforded me the luxury of having tasted the entire menu. Nope. I've tried the Make My Tay with whichever jalapeno-infused jelly sounds good, 130 different times now. So I just order a jelly, and they figure the rest out. And, for the record, the Make My Tay is pretty much PB&J perfection. I know cream cheese sounds a little weird, but it's gonna change your world, guaranteed. My Bat-Potato enjoys the Kids Classic with strawberry jam. Untoasted. Actually, please make sure his sandwich has not been placed within 12" of a toaster and try not to glance at the toaster while you make it. So I guess that's a solid option if you are a child or have the palate of one. Our drink of choice is a glass of milk, because again I arrived at a preschool and ordered an upscale elementary school lunch; why not further relive my childhood with some cow juice? The sandwiches are paired with ruffles, or some chips of that sort. You get a generous helping, and the sammys are also substantial. The meals are not inexpensive, but I don't think the owner is making out like a bandit either; for my son and me, the total is around $25 including drinks. The dining area is quaint with four or five small tables and one larger one. The decor is...old west ghost town, maybe? It feels vaguely Old Spaghetti Factory-esque. A wall-sized window overlooks the shopping plaza and McCullough. Wholesome like...you'll get an enthusiastic "HAVE A BLESSED DAY!" on the way out. I don't even much care for blessed days, but for y'all I shall have one. And then we leave. As I meander down the stairs, somewhere around step five, the forcefield ends, and I am no longer in my Elementary School's cafeteria. And my Bat-Potato says, "Race you!"

They are located on the second floor and a ton of parking options Negative: It's not really a negative aspect but there's limited seating because it's so popular Pro tip: It's great to grab and go because there's local parks nearby Recommendation for the owner: I was only in town for a few hours and I saw this on numerous reels. It's definitely the deli bahn mi that keeps me coming back regularly as well as the staff--they really are artists of their craft. If you know exactly what you want they'll give you that and if you're undecided or new, they have great recommendations that really do provide a well balanced bite. Every time for me, even when I'm not grabbing a deli bahn mi or ordering for others, has been a perfect sandwich. They have online ordering, phone in ordering, and you can also order there in person. The line gets long during the rush so if you're limited on time, I advise ordering ahead. Thundercloud from what I understand is originally an Austin chain. They serve soup peddler soups (also an Austin staple) and even offer cookies and smoothies which I also enjoy. About a week ago I got my girlfriend a cookie from Paris baguette and she later commented that she STILL preferred thunder clouds chocolate chip cookie over the bakeries (says a lot for a sandwich shop cookie to trump a bakery tbh). You can choose from white or wheat bread & I really enjoy how they offer two sizes of a sandwich along with plenty of options for meat and veggies. It keeps the possibilities endless. Like I mentioned earlier my go to is a large deli bahn mi on white bread with sriracha mayo add salami and salt and pepper. (I've found that the manager's special, the deli bahn mi is not available at all locations, so I'm thankful to always find it at this one). My girlfriend usually grabs the Austin club on white bread with honey mustard and sprouts and both keep us coming back ultra satisfied and ready for another round. I've also enjoyed their frito pie, Big Paul, and their meatball sub. The drink and chip selection is also fire, I especially enjoy their canned organic lemonade. Outside of the food and their service I love how well kept this place is. Always clean, always inviting, and always a great option to have in rotation. Highly recommend stopping in to visit
