So happy to see this place open again! They use to be down the street at another gas station and we were so sad when it burned down. The chicken wings are as delicious as we remembered them. The catfish is exceptional! The onion rings are also very good. Everything is seasoned really well and their sauces are delicious. The portions are generous!

I agree with the previous review, this area may seem a bit sketch. Especially since this eatery is located at the rear of a gas station/convenience store. Put your head on swivel and just go grab a bite. The menu prices are very decent and the food is pretty good. * Do not attempt to walk into this restaurant, you'll be standing behind the cashier's desk. Just read the menu next to the door and order at the window, they'll walk it out to you when it's ready. I had the catfish 2 piece from the lunch menu. My coworker had the 6 piece chicken and gyro plate (he's greedy-lol). Both of us were pretty satisfied. I would highly suggest using a bit more cornmeal with the flour coating (it's the Louisiana in me). I must say the seasoning was still on point. A sincere thank you to Nasir for being so kind, sweet guy.

Heard about this new spot from another source & wanted to try it out. I'll admit; be aware pulling up that it's a walkup window & it's on the backside of a gas station with A LOT of sketchy activity-and we went in the daytime... With that being said, the food was better than expected. Everything was fresh & my lady sd that the corn fritters were the best she's ever had!!! Forgot to take a pic of my Catfish but it was good too. We'll return whenever we want that type of food-and also during daylight!

Menu

Pretty good burger but the fries can be seasoned a little more and evenly but otherwise pretty good

Anthony's is the best! I love the food, service, and prices. It's in a sketchy gas station but it's worth it! I promise

Anthony's is the best. The service, food, amazing! The location is sketchy but trust me! Go!

6 piece Leg and Thighs
Tony A.

Arrived about 30 mins before close. The gas station area was well lit, so I wasn't too worried about the people pulling in and out. Ordered the 6 piece leg and thighs. It took about 7-10 minutes, but it was hot and fresh as advertised. The skin was crispy and it was well seasoned without going over the top with it. I'd recommend this place for the chicken, but I haven't tried the seafood.

It's the kind of place folks drift into and, before long, start calling their own. The people there carry themselves with quiet pride--no fuss, no show--just a steady hand at their work and a genuine welcome for whoever steps through the door. The menu ain't thrown together. It's been shaped with care, like a well-tuned string on a guitarra, each choice meant to stand on its own but better still when taken together. The flavors come through bold and honest, with a little flourish here and there--nothing overdone, just enough to remind you somebody back there knows what they're about. It's a small spot, sure, but that only draws folks closer. Feels a bit like gathering under a shaded porch after a long day--easy talk, shared laughter, and the sense you're among friends, whether you've known 'em years or just met 'em. Every greeting carries the warmth of old ties, like you've been welcomed back rather than simply let in. And the food--well, it doesn't hold back. Each bite's got a richness that settles in and makes you slow down, take notice, and then go back for more. It's the kind of meal that stays with you, the way a good story does. Spend a little time there with friends, and you'll come away knowing you've found something true--a place where the spirit of San Antonio, with its charro heart and neighborly ways, lives on in every plate set down and every hand extended in welcome.

Unpopular opinion incoming: I'm not overly impressed. A good sandwich is one of my favorite things,…read moreso this joint's been on my radar for a while. So, when co-workers wanted to go yesterday, I jumped on it. Don't get me wrong. I love the vibe of this place. I LOVE their story. It's very NY/Northeastern deli feel (they're from Pittsburgh, but you get my drift, right!?). No nonsense. Small inside area. No tables inside. Just enough room to look at the menu, order, and go wait outside. I opted for the chicken bacon ranch on hoagie. What came out was a decent size sandwich, but incredibly messy and soggy. There was so much juice/ liquid the sandwich quickly became unmanageable and just disintegrated. Look, if you're going to serve a sandwich that messy, please upgrade your napkins. It was a one bite - two napkin ratio. The sandwich was good, but the mess and difficulty eating it just took away any enjoyment. Additionally, the flies outside rivaled the worst I've experienced. Do you remember the scene in the Lost World, Jurassic Park movie when the hunters found the Rex nest!? Okay, okay, maybe not that bad, but it was a lot. Hang some fly bags or strips or somethin'. Found price to be a little high. By the time I bought chips and a drink, plus tip: $22. Just FYI: my co-worker disagrees. He thought it was the BEST SANDWICH HE'D EVER HAD. So, yes, go give them a try, but bring a beach towel for clean up.

Yes I stopped to get a meal and was denied the military discount because I was not in uniform.. Not to many military bases are near this place to even be able to take advantage of this Military Uniform discount. So much for SATX being a Military City. There was not a single person in military uniform there. This place should just be upfront & say No Military Discount Vice oh You Have to be in Uniform for a discount. Also it's very loud, it was very hard to communicate while placing my order & asking about the Military Discount.. I had to raise my voice & repeat the order numerous times. Vice oh you have to be in uniform. So Military Brethren's beware of their Military Discount clause. Also my order/number was overlooked by 5-6 numbers after me. To the point where I standing in front to pick up my order & was asked what do I want. I replied you completed five order after me & im waiting for my order. 2 of the 3 sandwiches I order were placed & ready at that counter for a good while before I stood at that counter.

There are others mainly business class or tourists but they stay at Hotel Emma and definitely have money, or their employer's corporate card. Then there are the real carb eating customers who are there to actually consume goods. I finally had a free weekday to go to Pullnam now two years after they opened and loved my experience. Parking in the Pullman market was easy. It really is $0 with validation and for up to 2 hours. I was looking for ground flax, they only had whole. Looking for cinnamon infused honey, they did not have. Just weird shit like lavender infused. I enjoyed the elevated feel of the place, very transporting and nicely curated with so many spaces in and out doors to sit and people watch or just hang out with friends. Ate at Fife and Faro for a simple pizza and pomodoro pasta.

Surprised in a bad way by the chicken sandwich. Could not believe that the Pullman Market would serve compressed chicken instead of a real chicken breast. Tasted like manufactured chicken. Very disappointed.
