After all these years, I finally got to try the famous Wayne's Wings! We ordered a few flavors and I honestly enjoyed everyone one of them. I will say that we played it safe only because this was our first visit. I especially enjoyed the Honey Bee and the Lemon Pepper. I love that they don't skimp on their seasoning. Service took a while but we noticed there were several to go orders they were working on. The dining area had very simple furnishings but it was clean which is what matters. The wings are a bit pricey but I will say that some of them were larger than usual. I saw a video on Tiktok and was excited to try this place. Overall I think it was just okay. If my favorite item were the fries it's not a 5 star restaurant. The tx honey bee were the favorite out of the 3 flavors we ordered. I'd give those 4 stars. The Buffalo were okay 3 stars and the garlic Parmesan were really dry, 2 stars. The fries were so crispy and flavorful. 5 starts! I was told the small was a kid size portion but we received a large basket full. Did not seem small to me. The sauces are extra which is surprising. With the prices I would expext 1 side of ranch or blue cheese and maybe charge extra if you want any additional. The soda machine had 2 soda flavors out of order. The prices were above what we expected. About 18$ for 6 wings and potato wedges. We decided to go ahead and try it out anyways. I honestly enjoyed the wedges with the parm seasoning better than the wings. The wings I found small and fatty. Not cooked crispy like we enjoy. Maybe we needed to ask for extra crispy. I went here on a Friday night because my son brought home some wings from this restaurant a couple of years ago and they were really good. It is a small place in a not so nice looking strip mall and it's very busy on Friday nights. This was my first and last time going to Wayne's Wings. We waited over and hour (two people) to get the wings to go. Once we were home and started eating them, they just did not taste like the ones we had a couple of years ago. It's an unassuming spot on the outskirts of the city that you wouldn't think would have food of this high caliber. But this spot will definitely teach you to not judge a book by its cover. The woman at the country was pleasant, welcoming and helpful. I told her it was our first time and she gave us a menu to look at while we figured out what we wanted. When she took our order, she was patient and offered recommendations. We ordered the Rainbow Basket - 13 wings with 4 sauces/flavors, Buffalo, Honey BBQ, Garlic Parmesan and Lemon Pepper. We also ordered the large fries and some sweet tea. We LOVED the flavor and how fresh the wings were. My personal favorite was the lemon pepper, my 3 year old devoured THREE garlic Parmesan, we were shocked! The chicken was really crispy, which I love! The Jacob was more flavorful imo. I was expecting the Caribbean jerk to have just a bit more flavor. That was my only let down.
