20 piece wings with waffle fries and KoolAid Bottle
    Eric V.

This place is located inside of three star bar which was a bit confusing but it's pretty easy to find once you go inside. Very traditional bar style feel to it and it had back outdoor seating which was nice. The wings themselves were phenomenal! A bit sad they didn't have every flavor available at the time of our visit but it was the best wings I've ever had, no exaggeration. If you're looking for some delicious wings and maybe a drink or two, this is your place.

Absolutely!!! Food Customer service Freshness Vibe Todo esta delicioso! A must try! First time here and they made sureeee I was taken care of! absolutely be coming back!

Probably some of the best wings I've ever had. They're doing something very special at fried hard. This is one of the easiest five star reviews I'll ever give. Great food, great customer service and just an overall great experience. Food: the wings are literally fried to perfection. I love my wings crispy or extra crispy so this is my type of establishment. The wings are full of flavor. Every single bite was simply amazing. Also, the wings are huge. I was full by the sixth or seventh wing. I normally always finish my 10 wing combo but they gave so much fries and the wings like I said we're really big so I was fooled by number six or seven. The Kool-Aid was amazing. The customer service here is top-notch. Everyone here is super friendly. I can't remember the ladies name, but she was a white lady and she was so nice and friendly and pretty funny as well. She took my order and it came out quickly. Best customer service I really wish I remembered her name because she did such an outstanding job. Again, this is an easy five star review if you're in the area stop on in and support a local business and try some amazing wings! Memphis, Tennessee, Project Pat and Young Dolph would be proud and the whole Three 6 Mafia! Memphis tennnnnnnn

The wings here are phenomenal. They are crispy yet drenched in sauce. I like that they toss the carrots and celery in the sauce too. You go in the bar, order at a kiosk, and get a buzzer. The food comes out piping hot. I may even say these are the best wings I've had in San Antonio.

    Buffalo hot lemon pepper wings.

Hands down the best wings in San Antonio. They won awards from SA current but most people don't take SA publication about good seriously. But this is one that the Current got right. The buffalo hot is a big jump from their buffalo mild but I'm telling you the HOT is the way to go with lemon pepper. It's located inside in the back of the bar through a small window next to the pool table. There will be a line so you can't miss it. Services always great, always kind, and always showing love. This is hard 5!

My new favorite wing spot in San Antonio. I've never had Memphis wings (and frankly I still don't know what the difference is) but they are amazing!!! The wings are crispy, crunchy, and flavorful. They are on the smaller side which I actually prefer, because you get a better texture and crunch-to-meat ratio. I think bigger wings can get a little chewy. I also love the location inside Three Star Bar so you can enjoy a drink and the vibe while you eat your wings. Pro tip- Wednesdays are dollar wing day!

I am all about that food life, and yes, I totally traveled from Vegas to San Antonio on a turn around flight just for these wings! Seriously, the whole vibe was on point: the music was jamming , the service was great (very personable and the owner got jokes for days), and don't even get me started on the Kool-Aid and lemon pepper hot wings - pure ! It was an absolute feast for the senses. You *have* to try these if you're live in Texas or are ever in. town! There's a bar that this spot is connected to and I enjoyed sipping and sitting on the patio people watching and catching the vibes from surrounding bars. You can totally bar hop in this neat little cozy area. Meet me there, don't beat me there.. You're welcome cause you'll be glad you listened.

Save yourself from ordering from Pluckers or BDubs and order from Fried Hard instead. Above and beyond service 10/10 wings, fries, and ranch Highly recommend the Memphis Bold wings!

Great food, since they only have 4-5 flavors at a time they really master each one! The only thing we didn't love was the ranch dressing.

The ranch doesn't really taste like ranch I didn't like it at all The southern fried wings looked large to me... We did not expect it to be within the old neighborhood of San Antonio, nor on the corner of a gas station. But as we got out, I started to understand why this place was truly loved. They have discounts for veterans, students, and a couple more groups of people I can't remember off the top of my head. They aim to serve their community within the area, offering multiple specials, and opportunities to make their food affordable. It's cheap, sure, but is it worth the wait? I'd say so. We may not have gotten our food under 30 minutes, but by god was it fresh. The lemonade was sweet and representative of a family reunion cook out. If the quality of what they served wasn't indicative of the amount of people that parked and walked up to order some food, it would be my order of catfish nuggets with their sauce, fries, and their large lemonade. They serve catfish, tilapia, and chicken as you'd expect. You can get poppers (also great) and multiple sides, but I say all of this with praise that with your chicken, your fish - it comes with fries. Best part about waiting was observing the community and watching FIFA. Just be sure you pay attention to the area. Highly recommend, though be decent unless provoked, and watch out for the unsavory types looking at your cars. We had one rando walk out and then walk back to their car after doing so to ours... overall, very interesting, and worth their prices. Staff was friendly, and the food was delicious.

That's how I ended up trying Anthony Fish & Chicken, and honestly it turned out better than expected. The restaurant is located on the east side of San Antonio, which happens to be the area I grew up in. Some people who aren't familiar with the area might consider it a little rough, but in my experience those neighborhoods often have some of the best food in the city. I called in my order and was quoted about 25 minutes. It took a little longer than that, but it wasn't a problem. When I pulled up there were a grip of cars waiting for food, so clearly the place stays busy. One thing to know if it's your first time: if you don't call ahead, you order at the window. I accidentally tried going inside at first and was told they were serving through the window only, which was fair enough. I ordered the 15-piece lemon pepper chicken, which came with fries and two slices of bread. We also grabbed steak nachos at the last minute, and those didn't even make it home because they got demolished in the car. They were loaded with toppings and I'm pretty sure they used Doritos for the chips, which added extra flavor. The chicken itself was excellent. Crispy, fresh, and clearly made to order. The legs and thighs were seasoned well and the portion size was generous. A 15-piece could easily feed a small family of three or four. Between the nachos and a couple sides we made at home, it actually ended up feeding five people comfortably. The crinkle cut fries were also solid and had a nice seasoning on them, and the hot sauce they give with the chicken paired really well. When I arrived there were a grip of cars waiting, and after trying the food I understand why. Compared to my number one fried chicken spot, Chatman's Chicken, this place honestly holds its own. The chicken here is crispy, fresh, and flavorful all the way through. Another thing I appreciated was the value. I've seen places around San Antonio charging close to $20 for a simple three-piece meal, and the food doesn't even come close to this quality. Here the portions and price felt much more reasonable. Anthony's definitely has something going on. They have a solid menu with plenty of combos and options for a good price. Next time I'll probably try the wings because they looked great coming out of the kitchen. Overall this spot definitely satisfied my fried chicken craving. I'll be back again.
