The wings were standard. Pretty good. I mean. They're wings so I don't have much else to say about them.
Great customer service clean restaurant amazing food. I stuck with chicken though they have shrimp And fish as well. I drove 43min to get there well worth it!
Ordered online and the menu was very clear with good descriptions. The pick up was seamless and ready on time. The person at the counter was friendly and confirmed the items in my order as well as showed them to me. The wings were a good size and very flavorful. I got curry, bbq, and garlic parm. I think the curry was my favorite with a hint Carolina gold sauce. The bbq reminded me of KFC's bbq but better. The garlic parm was dusted in powdered parm wasn't a big fan of those. There is only one or two tables inside so this is definitely a carryout type place. I would certainly order again and try additional flavors.

San Antonio takes pride in being the best and having the best, so imagine the joy that comes with the bragging rights of being home to some of the best wings in the entire state of Texas. Owner Dwayne Price, a native of the East Coast, opened Wayne's Wings in 2010 and now operates two locations in San Antonio, meaning that folks from near and far stop at this local business to see what all the fuss is about. These made to order wings come in various flavors like honey lemon pepper, funnel cake, Caribbean jerk and many more. I tried the wet Jacob wings which were slightly spicy with hints of lime and sriracha. For those of you who adore anything with sriracha, like me, you know that this sauce takes anything up a notch! With these wings, you have Sriracha for the heat, honey (or I think this was the secret ingredient used here) to tone it down, lime for the tang. The wings were not overly done nor were they too fatty like some of the wings out there. The rameken of ranch served on the side of the wings gives those who are looking for a slick way to reduce the heat of the wings with an excuse not to seem 'weak' in front of their friends. These wings are definitely worth a try in the area. #supportlocal

My favorite is the hot honey lemon pepper wings, and then getting the fries with the spicy cayenne ranch sprinkled on them. The wings are extra crispy, which is one of my favorite reasons to come here, and are full of flavor. The location is pretty small so unless you get there at a time where a table is cleared off, you might want to order to go. Aside from the food The service there is good. If you want some wings and are in town and don't want to go to one of the chain restaurants. I definitely say stop at Wayne's wings.
Came here from out of town for some wings and was not disappointed. Crew was friendly and explained their unique flavors perfectly. Each wing flavor selection I had was delicious ( honey bee, buffalo, mustard, & funnel cake!). Got 20 wings, it the wings are healthy sized and took some home. Definitely will be back if I come back to San Antonio.
The service here was really good, although a little on the slow side considering there was only one other couple in there besides us. I understand they make to order, so that's good. I picked off the menu according to one " " so I could have some spice but not too hot. The gal that took our order did say it was more sweet than hot but I was not prepared at all for how sticky sweet they actually were! Like drenched in honey, it was too much. The wings were quite crispy on the outside (weird since so much sauce in the bottom of dish) and more tender on inside. I also ordered small fries with my meal, they were not small BTW, but more like JoJos, which is fine but there was sweet sauce drizzled on the fries too, why?? Overall, it was just too sweet for wings and fries. There was very little seating available, several stools at bars on each side and then three tables with two chairs each. It's a very small, crowded space that felt more like a storage room. Highly suggest take food to go. Again, very nice service but the rest fell short.
Wayne's Wings never misses!! Definitely my go-to wing spot in San Antonio. So many flavors to pick from, and everything we tried was . Viviana was super sweet and let us sample a few before ordering--loved that! Can't wait to go back again soon.
I'm a huge fan of Philly cheesesteaks so I decided to try Wayne's Wings. I was greeted quickly and my order was taken. I got my food pretty quick. Got home and devoured everything. I got a 6" Philly cheesesteak with the combo. The fries were very good. They were still hot when I got home. They were wedge fries and were crispy on the outside but not overcooked. The cheesesteak was phenomenal. The steak had a lot of flavor and the bread was very good. Overall a great meal and I will be back to try the wings next time.

Very 1st Time here & Definitely will be My Last* To start with for some reason on this rainy Sunday, the A/C wasn't working & it felt like a sauna heat room in here. I looked over the menu & even mentioned to the lady that it's my 1st time here....She said take your time as I looked at the menu, asked a few questions & went with the Wings & Waffle Combo plus Drink for $19.99 plus tax.....I had #22 tag & tried sitting at the counter but I was almost suffocating myself, so I decided to eat outside with the little outdoor seating tables. I told the guy behind counter that I'd be outside, so whenever the Waffle was done to bring it out. Well, it never came & I ate the 6 wings that I had. I was expecting to be blown outta my mind with flavors or tastes that I haven't had for awhile, but Nopeeee it was just some average wings & NOTHING Special. I came back inside to enquire about my Waffle & the young Man from the kitchen came out to tell me that there was an issue with the Waffle & it came out soupy. So I said alrighty then, what ya gonna do for me then? He said they'd give me some more Wings, I said sure, that would do & I really appreciate the kindness & follow through. When they finally told me that the wings we're ready, they must fixed the Waffle maker & gave me a Waffle too. Again, I was thankful & pleased until I took this order TOGO. I attempted to eat the Waffle dry, No Syrup or anything?? Then I took out my receipt & I Immediately was Shocked & Pissed Off The machine I used to checkout had a spot for tips or custom tip, I made the purchase for $19.99 plus tax & tip of $3.00 dollars ~ but when I looked at my sales receipt it showed a 30.00 Tip I said Hellll Nawwww, I called back this location & no answer but I left a vmail about this situation & scenario ~ No One Returned My Call ‼ So NOT Only was this Food OverPriced but also OverRated & scammed Me of an extra $27 Bucks Needless to say, I'm contesting this transaction with My Chase Bank & will get my monies back momentarily ~ But I'm Never-Ever gonna come back or try anything from this Establishment again‼ As far as Me, Myself & I goes....as a Former Chicagoan from the Southside, I've had plenty of Real Soul Food & My Tastebuds have sampled countless delicacies from around America & the Globe I typically don't like to leave "Bad Reviews" but after waiting until today for someone to correct or respond to Me, I felt compelled to explain my outburst & remarks. Nice sized wings with many options for sauces. Wings run about $2 each. Place is definitely a joint. Two tables, and wall bar seating. Most people purchased the wings for takeout. Funny tshirt of the restaurant for sale. Cashier was very friendly, and helpful. Food was good, cooked quickly, and packaged well. I would order wings here again. read more

The service here was really good, although a little on the slow side considering there was only one other couple in there besides us. I understand they make to order, so that's good. Well I have no idea where to start. This place is a hidden gem. The food comes out fast and fresh. YES fresh! You can tell the oil is not old and reused. The wings come out hot and crunchy and my a greasy soggy mess. The fries are wedges but they are outstanding. Hot crispy and airy. I am not sure what they do but these are not your standard wedge fries. The people are friendly and continuously check on you if you are lucky enough to to dine in. The place is small and space is limited. If they served beer and had the game on I'd probably still be there. A must try if you love, like, or think you might like wings. They will make you a fan. Don't EVEN come at me and tell me me you got better wings than Wayne's. You'd be wrong. Oh. My. The Jacob wings and plain fries with Duke sauce on the side... I'm a changed man. Best wings ever- and plenty for the price. Meal for two, eaten by one very happy and now messy person. Plenty of leftovers for tomorrow. Or in ten minutes. Why are you still reading???! The wings always looks good here so I finally tried them. I'm not from the area so I kinda got lost but the young lady was patient with me. Customer service was good & the inside was pretty small but it's more for like take out. Ok let's get into the food ! I order bbq wings & they were nice and juice & had just enough sauce. The fries were not fried hard enough but other than that everything was good. The wings were good just a little cold. read more

Again, on my thing about eating different I found FUNNEL CAKE WINGS...topped with Powdered Sugar...most people would turn their nose up or just pass it by...Not Me...I really enjoyed these wings...I will definitely be back because of my first experience read more

They really are the best wings in Texas! The food was amazing and super flavorful! I got buffalo wings and lemon pepper fries and they were huge wings and super good. The fries were amazing also Placed my order online and didn't take long to be ready. When we went in, we were greeted by who I'm assuming is the owner and he greeted and thanked everyone who came in. They have seating inside and 2 tables outside as well. It is a pretty small location. I have been wanting to try this place for so long and I'm kinda disappointed that it took me this long. read more

In the past, my go to spots for wings were B-Dubs or Wingstop. After relocating to the area, I noticed Wayne's Wings. I don't normally eat wings but after seeing all the good reviews, I figured I'd see what they were about. I went with the Munchie's Meal. Came with 10 wings, fries, and a drink. I went with Honey BBQ and Spicy Curry as my two sauces. When I picked up my order the gentleman running the counter displayed the order before bagging it up. The have a soda fountain so you can dispense your own drink. There are a few tables to dine at but I grabbed my order to go. I was pleasantly surprised by the wings! They were huge! They were crispy and meaty, and I even got an extra wing. The Honey BBQ was the better of the two sauces I tried. I even dipped my fries in it instead of using ketchup. I wasn't feeling the Spicy Curry so much. Didn't seem spicy at all. The fries were done right. I liked that you could dust them with spices for no extra charge. I went with Spicy Garlic Parmesan, which took it to another level. I don't have wings often but I would be inclined to visit Wayne's again in the future read more
I'm a huge wing lover and seeing how many great reviews this place had i decided to give it a shot. Their door is filled with advertisement of how great this place so I came in with very very very high expectations. Idk if that's what made the disappointment bigger but.. it didn't meet my expectations. The wings were all very good but nothing was different from other wing places i've enjoyed. They did increase their prices so heads up for that. There is only a few seating inside. Its like a bar seating but against the wall... also it was very very hot inside. Not sure if the AC was down that day but its just so hot and dark inside. I would love to give the unique flavors a shot but just can't seem to see what all the hype is about. Hands down the best wings around. It's locally-owned so with that comes the occasional nuances of varying hours, random location closures, or inability to order online. With that being said, Wayne's is an absolute must if you're in San Antonio. The restaurant gives major hole-in-the-wall vibes and the service is great! They'll even let you sample different seasonings if you're curious. The flavors are unique, they include your classics and things like funnel cake (my fav), honey lemon pepper, jerk seasoning, jalapeño & BBQ and so much more. The wings themselves are everything you want from a wing: crispy, juicy, meaty, and oozing with flavor. Wayne's is surely something to write home about. An absolute must-have! read more
OMG. These are the best wings I've ever had in my life. Perfect, crunchy, flavorful breading and the densest juicy white meat. The flavors were insane. Never had buffalo like that, my favorite was the Thrustin which is lemon pepper and hot sauce....OH MY GOD. So tart and spicy, amazing. The employees are so kind and friendly, made sure everything was absolutely perfect and asked tons of questions and even explained Wayne's story and gave recommendations. The interior is so homey, fans going to keep you cool through the meat sweats . Soul music wafting through the air, people laughing, perfect fresh sweet tea, paper towels on the table for extra help with sticky fingers. So I may be in the minority here. Wayne's Wings were good, but not outstanding. We chose the boneless wings and let me tell you, they were MONSTERS! Overall, though, they were on the dry side and maybe that was because they were so huge. There are so many wings and boneless wing/tenders joints in the Helotes area, and really chicken joints galore, that you have to be outstanding to hold up against the area competitors. With that said, the service was outstanding. We ordered on their website and by the time we drove up to the store, the wings were ready and in a box staying warm. It was basically grab and go! Whimgs are good and crispy Tx honey bee - good - sweet and spicy - mild spicy Spicy honey melon pepper - is literally buffalo with lemon pepper ontop - i dont like lemon pepper so it was a solid no for me but if u like it then id say get it - mild spicy & Buffalo was good I didn't get fries but i did try samples of the food and are hot potato wedges , realll goood read more
