Very 1st Time here & Definitely will be My Last* To start…read morewith for some reason on this rainy Sunday, the A/C wasn't working & it felt like a sauna heat room in here. I looked over the menu & even mentioned to the lady that it's my 1st time here....She said take your time as I looked at the menu, asked a few questions & went with the Wings & Waffle Combo plus Drink for $19.99 plus tax.....I had #22 tag & tried sitting at the counter but I was almost suffocating myself, so I decided to eat outside with the little outdoor seating tables. I told the guy behind counter that I'd be outside, so whenever the Waffle was done to bring it out. Well, it never came & I ate the 6 wings that I had. I was expecting to be blown outta my mind with flavors or tastes that I haven't had for awhile, but Nopeeee it was just some average wings & NOTHING Special. I came back inside to enquire about my Waffle & the young Man from the kitchen came out to tell me that there was an issue with the Waffle & it came out soupy. So I said alrighty then, what ya gonna do for me then? He said they'd give me some more Wings, I said sure, that would do & I really appreciate the kindness & follow through. When they finally told me that the wings we're ready, they must fixed the Waffle maker & gave me a Waffle too. Again, I was thankful & pleased until I took this order TOGO. I attempted to eat the Waffle dry, No Syrup or anything?? Then I took out my receipt & I Immediately was Shocked & Pissed Off The machine I used to checkout had a spot for tips or custom tip, I made the purchase for $19.99 plus tax & tip of $3.00 dollars ~ but when I looked at my sales receipt it showed a 30.00 Tip I said Hellll Nawwww, I called back this location & no answer but I left a vmail about this situation & scenario ~ No One Returned My Call ‼ So NOT Only was this Food OverPriced but also OverRated & scammed Me of an extra $27 Bucks Needless to say, I'm contesting this transaction with My Chase Bank & will get my monies back momentarily ~ But I'm Never-Ever gonna come back or try anything from this Establishment again‼ As far as Me, Myself & I goes....as a Former Chicagoan from the Southside, I've had plenty of Real Soul Food & My Tastebuds have sampled countless delicacies from around America & the Globe I typically don't like to leave "Bad Reviews" but after waiting until today for someone to correct or respond to Me, I felt compelled to explain my outburst & remarks. Very Disappointed & Displeased...... Adios Amigos

Well, it left much to be desired! Glad I ordered takeout because it was tiiiiiiiight in there! And, I was there on Sat mid-afternoon. Now, I understand that dining costs has gone up but these oxtail servings were TERRIBLE for $20/plate (the bones are proof-no hate) Aside from that, zero flavor at all & to have a bed of rice to make up for the portion was a slap in the face for me, personally! Needless to say, we probably won't be back. The search continues...

Today's same order was definitely a MISS 3/10 The Krab legs had hardly any meat, and the shrimp was not seasoned or cooked long enough.... The tase was of freezer. Normally they are buttered up and covered in sauce but today it lacked flavor. Was super excited for this meal today, maybe next time

I really wanted to enjoy El Carbonero Food Truck, but unfortunately the food was sub-par at best…read more The biggest disappointment was the lack of flavor. The service and hospitality were actually great, the staff was friendly, attentive, and made a good effort to provide a positive experience. Unfortunately, great customer service can only go so far when the food doesn't deliver. I always appreciate good service, but the food is ultimately what brings people back, and this visit just didn't hit the mark. Hopefully they can bring the same level of care they show their customers into the kitchen.

Been here several times. Today it just wasn't as good. It seems like it was getting just a little…read moreworse each time we came. Well, it just lost its touch it seems. We got the mini with chicken and fajita, added two special sausages. Beans and rice as sides. The chicken was just confusing...inconsistent cook, seasoning, and flavor changed literally piece by piece. We had some pieces that were borderline undercooked, and the seasoning was just off. We all agreed the one breast piece, was amazing, and as the midget said, "did it even come from the same chicken"?. The fajita was tough. It was cut correctly, but it def felt overcooked. The sausage was what you would expect, the FUD sausage they sell at meat markets here, think bologna sausage, with cheese. I'm not saying it's bad, but it's not mind blowing either. The stars that saved the meal were the absolutely spectacular charro beans and rice...I mean just like grandma's. One weird positive...all these places serve bag corn tortillas, just a thing, but the way they warm them they fall apart and stick together. Here it seems they warmed them all separately and they weren't stuck to each other. Yay! Good green sauce. Sadly, I can't say we would be back....

I was SO excited to come give this place a try and finally get some Jamaican beef patties!…read moreNormally, I get the frozen ones from H-E-B that come in a box, which a coworker recommended to me. But now that I live in a bigger city, I thought, "Let me go ahead and try some real, authentic Jamaican beef patties!" And WOW, these did not disappoint! They were so, so good. The meat inside was incredibly flavorful and cooked perfectly, and the crust was super flaky and crispy. I genuinely enjoyed every bite. I'll definitely be coming back to try the oxtails and some of their other food. If the beef patties are any indication, I'm excited to see what else they have!

The ox tail is half of the side order I got the last time. The fish is nothing but bones. The jerk chicken was what it was supposed to be. Flavor wise everything is excellent but I had to get up and go hunt the girl at the front and tell her about the $35 fish! It is so tiny I will be even embarrassed to present it to a toddler. She said she will be right back and she disappeared. After a good 20 minutes I went looking for her again to only tell me she got distracted and they cannot do anything about it. I just thought to share this here. It is disappointing to have a bill over $120 with plates filled with side dishes. Being happy I found a solid Jamaican restaurant I will never go back

When I came up to the place it wasn't a sit down place to eat, but that you have to order which was confusing as there were a lot of other restaurants within the small space. And I place my order as it was Wednesday dollar day for wings so I order wings. I had the parmesan garlic, lemon pepper. Let me tell you they were so good, the wait was too long but worth the wait. It best to order online then go pick up. The restroom were locked so that is why I gave 4 and we weren't able to speak with no one. If you need any special thing or extras please write it I. The texture of fish is crunchy on the outside with a flaky, meaty texture on the inside . The wings are fried in a way that's just right. They are crunchy and the sauce adheres so well without making them soggy. The green beans, red beans, and wedges are great options for sides to accompany the fish and wings. It was my first time ordering from a place with this type of setup. It was so cool! I scanned my order on an iPad and open pops a locker door with my food. If you're in the mood for fried fish and wings...this place does not miss.
