They are crunchy and the sauce adheres so well without making them soggy. The green beans, red beans, and wedges are great options for sides to accompany the fish and wings. Most of our table ordered from the restaurant week menu, which includes an appetizer, entrée, and dessert. It took about 30 minutes just to get our drinks, and the appetizers didn't come out until around 9:30. I was the only person at our table who never received my appetizer. While waiting, I asked for utensils so I could at least try some of everyone else's appetizers. We were a table of four and were given only two sets of utensils because they had apparently run out of them. The waitress later came back with more forks. About 10 minutes later, another waitress came by with my dessert. I had to stop her and explain that I hadn't even received my appetizer or entrée yet. She took the dessert back to the kitchen. A few minutes later, everyone's entrées came out--except mine. I still hadn't received my appetizer. At that point, I told our waitress I wanted to cancel my entire order. Her response was, "Yeah, I was going to ask you that because the kitchen just asked me what you ordered." No apology, no explanation, nothing. I had already ordered two drinks, so she said she would ask the manager about compensating them. A few minutes later, my appetizer finally came out. I reminded her that I had canceled my order, and she said she knew but that I could still have it at no charge, so I accepted it. I was told the manager could only offer 50% off my drinks, which I reluctantly accepted. The manager never came over to speak with us. When the check came, I was charged $25 for the appetizer--even though I had canceled my entire food order before it was brought out and had been told I could have it at no charge. My drinks were also fully comped instead of receiving the 50% discount we had discussed. This meant they tried to charge me more than they should have: the $25 appetizer was added to the bill, while the agreed-upon discount on my drinks was not applied. If they had simply honored the arrangement, I would have owed only $13, but they instead tried to charge me for the canceled food. When I pointed this out, the waitress seemed irritated, told me not to worry about it, and moved on to collecting payment from the rest of the table. We didn't end up leaving until 10:40 PM, meaning it took 2.5 hours to serve us. At no point did anyone genuinely apologize or explain what happened. Mistakes happen, but the complete lack of communication, organization, and customer service made this experience incredibly frustrating. Unfortunately, the entire dinner was pretty tainted by the time the food finally came around. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Unfortunately, the experience changed once we were seated. Our waiter was incredibly short and came across as rude throughout the meal. When we asked for recommendations or some of his favorite menu items, his response was essentially, "I don't know what you like," rather than offering any guidance. The service somehow felt rushed even though the food itself came out slowly, and there were very few check-ins during the meal. When it came time for dessert, we asked to see a dessert menu and were simply told, "It's on the menu you have," which summed up the lack of hospitality we experienced at the table. I ordered the Mustang Chicken, and unfortunately it was very disappointing. The chicken was fatty, full of tendon, and tasted more like a frozen piece of chicken that had been dropped into a deep fryer than something I would expect from a restaurant at this price point. It's disappointing because the restaurant has a great atmosphere and our experience at the bar started off so well. Unfortunately, between the table service and the quality of the food, I would not recommend Cappy's based on this visit.

It was very clean and I liked how new everything looked. They play some decent Latin music and there's a sort of trendy vibe to the place. The workers were friendly and polite. However, those are the only redeeming qualities about this restaurant. The food was subpar at best. We ordered their fried fish with fries as well as a tortilla soup. I also ordered one of their five dollar fish tacos just to try them out. The fish plate strangely comes with a slice of garlic bread and overcooked fries (I like crispy fries, but these were like biting into sticks of wood). The fish taco was probably the best tasting thing from this restaurant (the bar is pretty low), it's a filet of fried fish topped with a slaw-like sauce and sliced avocado on a corn tortilla. I did enjoy it, but I felt the price was a bit steep for what you get. The tortilla soup lacked flavor as if the chef was scared to add seasoning. Maybe if you are going for the drinks then this place would be okay. I cannot speak on their alcoholic beverages. But there's one last thing that sealed it for me and made it certain I wouldn't return. They have a "cash price" vs a "card price" on their receipt, cash being less expensive. I pay cash and I'm brought incomplete change. I suppose they do not carry coins. I am left with bland mid tier food, hard fries, and robbed out of my change. Listing cash vs card price on your receipt that basically encourages paying cash, then not having complete change when a customer pays cash is a very dull business practice. Eat here if you feel like taking the gamble. Would not recommend.

Pulled up on a Friday late night with my family ordered the standard 5 tacos. They are a bit pricey as well. I ordered the carne Asada and my mother in law ordered the chicken. While it did seem like it tasted good it was super greasy. (TMI coming up) When I woke up the next morning my I noticed my bowels were literally moving the next day, (I counted about 9 times). I felt bloated and everything. My wife even told me that as we were pulling off she witnessed the cook I believe his name is Julio eating some of the product while he was preparing peoples food (the side door of the food truck was open so you could see right in). Funny enough we decided to go back Saturday evening to give them another try, thinking it would be better, BOY was we wrong. I ordered the same order plus charro Beans, elote (corn in a cup) and 3 cans of sprite. This time we took literally one bite and the meat was DRYER than the Saharan desert both the carne asada and the chicken. (Tasted like some reheated old meat or meat that had been made days prior). We were already at the hotel at this point and was infuriated!!! We ended up calling and I believe I spoke to Julio (or whoever the cook is) over the phone. After lying saying that he cooked the meat fresh that day he stuttered I told him aint no way the meat was fresh. He then said and I quote " I cooked the meat "a couple days ago" then said "sorry I burnt it or overcooked it". (Knowing that why would you serve that to me?) I then stated "yes it tasted old period". I requested a refund in which he agreed to. Driving all the way back I brought the food back as well. Julio (or whoever the cooks name is) tried to plead his case to me saying that the meat is fresh and took a fork and tasted the food himself and then tried to offer me the food. I told him "no I don't want to taste it, just refund me please" in which he did. Dishonesty, Not handling food with care, lying. Is something that crosses the line and I won't be back. *Also if the owner is reading this I have the phone conversation recorded and the video evidence to show proof this whole interaction, so do not just glaze over this review* I don't like writing bad reviews, but this one is for sure warranted. Seems like they will dress up the taco and selling you some "old meat" people just be careful and mindful when coming to this taco truck. "The Earths Best Taco" they say... that's a stretch!

I heard they have been at this location for a long time and my fam used to frequent here back in the day. What disappoints was my fam got sick from the Carne Asada. The next day we ordered chicken again and they were stale and old from two days prior. This was confirmed by the staff. They were offered my fam a refund. Ugggh... so disappointing. You can't claim to be the best and serve old meat. That's a no no.
