Seafood Tagliatelle Pasta

I wanna first start with so far never a bad experience at this restaurant! Our server Danielle was phenomenal, friendly and prompt. It was a packed day so always good to make reservations in a weekend here! Loud atmosphere but you can still carry a conversation. The food was hot, delicious and beautifully served! The fresh bread and butter is always good to have

From the food to the ambiance to the excellent service provided by our waiter Josh everything was excellent. We both ordered the fried catfish and baked potato and it was melt in your mouth delicious. Josh was super attentive and explained everything to us about the specials and highlighted menu items. They need to hire 20 more of him. I highly recommend coming to pappadeaux for lunch or dinner

This place was amazing! We started with fried Calamari & Octopus and we order some greens Caesar Salad with Blackened Salmon was incredible, the salmon was perfectly seasoned, tender, and packed with flavor. The Wild-Caught Red Snapper with Jumbo Crab was another standout, super fresh and full of delicious flavors, clean seafood quality. And the Pasta Mardi Gras was absolutely delicious. Everything tasted fresh and high-quality from start to finish. The restaurant is also a great spot for big groups, with plenty of space. Definitely a place I'd come back to for outstanding seafood and a great dining experience!

If you're in San Antonio, you have to stop by Pappadeaux's! I'm here for the second time this week, and let me tell you -- their aged prime rib is next level! I ordered it medium, and it was cooked to absolute perfection -- tender, flavorful, and so soft it practically melted like sashimi. The baked potato was perfectly fluffy, and the broccolini had that ideal crisp-tender bite. The ambience is great -- perfect spot for a first date! It's not too loud, but lively enough to keep things comfortable and fun. The service was amazing -- so many friendly staff members checking in to make sure everything was just right. Hands down, a 10/10 experience. Can't wait to come back again!

Pappadeaux was a 10/10 experience. The food was fresh, flavorful, and worth every bite. Wait staff was very friendly and helpful. Drinks were sooo good! Portions were huge, service was excellent, and the atmosphere was upbeat and fun. If you love seafood and Cajun flavors, add this to your must-try list!

Crispy salmon topped with seafood and spinach

Dinner tonight was fantastic! We ordered the crab fingers appetizer which was absolutely delicious!!! It's a very large portion that comes with fries or dirty rice. We got the fries. We split 3 dishes. The crispy salmon topped with lump crab, scallops & jumbo shrimp, fried shrimp and catfish platter! Our sides were potato puree, broccolini and sautéed spinach! Dimitri our server was amazing! He was very patient and has very good people skills! We tipped him well! The restaurant was bustling as always. Customers were lined up to get in and the place was packed! The vibe was upbeat and chill! If you haven't visited a Pappadeaux, give items a try! They have something for everyone!!!

I bet it's a great place yet it so rare that when I walk in a place that the vibe is so negative. The feel and no talking got from the host had me acting feel very down quickly so I had to make myself leave and go to another place. Again it may be great yet maybe it was just because they were not wanting a single person walking in.

Fried Shrimp

Love coming to this location for their fried shrimp! The flavor is top tier and the overall beauty and cleanliness of the restaurant is the reason I keep coming back. It definitely makes you feel like you are on a luxury boat the vibe is the perfect mix of cozy and fancy.

Grilled shrimp

I was really craving grilled shrimp. When looking at the menu, I didn't find just plain grilled shrimp. I knew they had it so I asked and the waitress said it was possible!! I ordered I believe 8 shrimp (thinking I won't be full enough for the sides) but.... I was pretty full. It came with a great little side sauce. They were cooked perfectly, broccolini was amazing too. Service was great and all worth it!

A family favorite for the last two decades from what I can recall. For a Sunday lunch time, highly recommend to make a reservation. We were able to be seated quickly for our party of 9, but it did look like there were quite a few waiting for a table. Upon entering, we were generously greeted with a smile and brought to our table. We ordered to start the calamari and gator bites to share. The kids loved the gator bites as it was quite tasty! They have a lunch menu that is served daily during lunch hours and the portions were plentiful. If you are really hungry, the dinner portions were available and I can only imagine how much more the portions would be. The Mississippi Catfish & Shrimp Etouffee is my favorite and go-to, with the Crawfish Etouffee coming in as a close second! Lastly, we celebrated my birthday and with it came some great options from their desert menu. Parking can be a little hectic as the entry is right off the frontage road and could be held up. But there were plenty of spaces available. An amazing time overall with great company and tasty food. We will definitely be back again! Enjoy!

Came on a Monday after lent. It wasn't packed at all and got seated quickly. Bryanna was our waiter and took care of a table of 5 very nice. It was my daughter's birthday. Placed our drinks and appetizers and came out superb. Our meals came altogether and very good. Very good Evening overall.

Catfish, shrimp, potato, collards
Coy V.

Pleasantly surprised, this was my first time dining here and I didn't know what to expect. I had catfish, shrimp, loaded potato, collards and the seafood gumbo. The gumbo had too many shells but flavorful. Everything else was delicious. My drink however was not great, but the staff were friendly and sat us earlier than the reservation. Fun spot to grab food with friends and colleagues.

Honey Roasted Carrots & Pistachios

Visited this place since we had moved out of Texas and was looking for a good southern catfish dinner and so glad I stopped by! The fish was awesome and overall had a great experience from the great customer service to the good ambiance to the perfectly cooked fish! I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a good overall seafood experience especially a southern experience! The carrots and pistachios were ok, nothing to write home about but overall the fries, fish and shrimp were great!

Does this location have happy hour?

Why don't they have outdoor dining on their patio anymore?

I have never seen outdoor service at the 410 location but I have at the I10 location

Are reservations accepted for party of 12?

Yes

Do they still have happy hour in 2021?

Yes, I believe they do.

Open on Christmas?

According to the website, they are closed Christmas day.

Do they have reservation?

Yes. Typically the entire party must be there to be seated. Hope this helps.

Do they offer military discount?

Yes they do. I'm actually sitting here looking at it in the restaurant it's 25% with valid military ID at the 410 location Jan 20 2020.

Do they serve the little fried cat fish nuggets?

During happy hour, around the bar, they have catfish beignets that are similar to nuggets but a little bit longer... happy hour is from 3:00 to 6:30 I believe.... the rest of the time they have fillets but it's still catfish just shaped differently

The menu is exciting and the concept is definitely there--but unfortunately, my dining experience didn't quite live up to it. I ordered the pecan-crusted trout, which had a nice texture but lacked flavor and seasoning. The dirty rice was also underwhelming, with very little depth or seasoning, and the calamari was a bit rubbery. Overall, the food just didn't hit the mark for me. Service was also a bit inconsistent. During dinner, I found myself having to get up to grab my own salt and pepper, as well as my own place setting, which took away from the experience. That said, I did have a much better interaction the day before when my wife and I stopped by for a glass of champagne at the bar--the bartender was lovely and welcoming. On a positive note, the location is beautiful--right along the River Walk, which makes for a great ambiance and setting. I'd consider giving it another try, but hoping for more consistency in both food and service next time.

R&R is part of a hotel and since the weather was really nice, we decide to sit on the outdoor patio facing the river walk. They have a happy hour menu that runs from 3-6 pm and includes beer, wine and liquor specials and 8 small plate food options. I start off with a margarita on the rocks. When it comes out, the drink is good but could've used a bit more lime in the mix but not bad. For food, I go with the fried shrimp and catfish nuggets. When they come out, the plates are larger than expected and both come with fries. This could easily be shared with two or three people. Everything was friend to perfection, crispy on the outside, moist on the inside and seasoned well. The plates were wiped clean. I ordered a house pinot noir and it was a good. I didn't catch the brand name but would order it again. Overall, this was a great first experience at Roam & Range and will look forward to coming back to try more of the menu. Due to it's location, parking can be tricky so prep ahead.

Every dish was honestly amazing. Usually at places there will be a star dish and I felt everything we ordered was stand out! The fish is extremely fresh, the sauces the dishes are paired with are bursting with flavor, and for the times that are cooked, like the octopus, they couldn't have made it better. The interior is simple and elegant and they have a vinyl record player with large speakers that give a great vibe to the place. We've been wanting to try something different from the usual, and this place absolutely delivered. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted promptly and treated with genuine kindness. Our waitress was polite, friendly, and attentive throughout the entire visit. To drink, we ordered a large hibiscus tea served in a mason jar. You can immediately tell it's made in-house -- incredibly fresh, with a subtle hint of lime. Easily one of the best hibiscus teas I've had, and far better than the powdered versions many places use. I wouldn't even hesitate to pay for refills. We also started with a Modelo (canned), crudo shrimp (2 pieces), Japanese peanuts, chamoy, and a sauce at the bottom of the plate that was unbelievably good -- likely one of their ceviche sauces. Whatever it was, it was packed with flavor. For entrees, my spouse ordered the Pork Belly AguaChile, and it was phenomenal. The pork belly was crispy, tender, and moist all at once, loaded with flavor. It came with a generous portion of very fresh guacamole, topped with julienned red onions and serrano peppers, plus four corn tortillas and a fresh salsa verde with the perfect amount of heat. My spouse isn't big on tortillas, so I happily made a few tacos myself -- no regrets. I ordered the Ceviche La Mamona, which included tender octopus, melt-in-your-mouth ahi tuna, perfectly cooked shrimp, avocado, onion, cucumber, tomato, and a black sauce that tied everything together beautifully. This was, without question, the best ceviche I've ever had. I've never been to Mexico, but this is exactly how I imagine it should taste -- incredibly fresh and perfectly balanced. They also serve it with crackers, tostadas, and two creamy salsas: one habanero and one jalapeño/serrano. Honestly, the ceviche alone could have been a full meal. If you're looking for generous portions, outstanding freshness, excellent service, and a truly memorable seafood experience, AguaChiles is the place. Next time, I'm coming back for the whole octopus, super tostada mixta, oyster preparado, queso flameado, fried oysters, and possibly a molcajete. I love food, and every meal here felt like an adventure.
