Always a great experience. Excellent service. Nice ambiance and the food is always top quality and fresh. Our waiter Spencer was very nice and accommodating

The drinks here were just as impressive as the food. Every cocktail was beautifully presented, with fresh fruit garnishes, mint, and creative glassware that made the experience feel special. The watermelon-themed drink was especially refreshing, and the pineapple cocktails were light, crisp, and perfect for a warm evening.

I've heard about this chain and it didn't disappoint as far as the taste and quality of the food. However, the food was a bit more pricey than I expected for a place like this. It did have a good price for cocktails which was nice though! The espresso martini was great, however the beans were a bit chewy. I switched to an old fashioned made with Buffalo Trace and it was delicious though. Service was kinda spotty with my waiter disappearing quite a bit. Maybe they see a table with one diner and think they're not going to get a decent tip. I had to ask another server for something at one point which should never be the case. The food was good though. It was hard to decide and since I was on a budget with a work expense, I had to choose wisely and put the booze on a separate tab. The salad was good and fresh and their cajun French dressing was bad. I switched to ranch and was able to enjoy it. The Catfish dish was delicious and came with shrimp, lump crab and oysters. Nice portion size and I was mostly satisfied. The sauce was pretty good for being outside of Louisiana, but still not "authentic". Is anywhere outside of LA great though? Luckily, it was walking distance from my hotel so easy to get to from there. It's on a "frontal" road so you may be driving in circles if you venture here on your own. I'd probably see what else San Antonio has to offer if I return to the area though as it didn't blow me away.

I wanna first start with so far never a bad experience at this restaurant! Our server Danielle was phenomenal, friendly and prompt. It was a packed day so always good to make reservations in a weekend here! Loud atmosphere but you can still carry a conversation. The food was hot, delicious and beautifully served! The fresh bread and butter is always good to have

This place was amazing! We started with fried Calamari & Octopus and we order some greens Caesar Salad with Blackened Salmon was incredible, the salmon was perfectly seasoned, tender, and packed with flavor. The Wild-Caught Red Snapper with Jumbo Crab was another standout, super fresh and full of delicious flavors, clean seafood quality. And the Pasta Mardi Gras was absolutely delicious. Everything tasted fresh and high-quality from start to finish. The restaurant is also a great spot for big groups, with plenty of space. Definitely a place I'd come back to for outstanding seafood and a great dining experience!

If you're in San Antonio, you have to stop by Pappadeaux's! I'm here for the second time this week, and let me tell you -- their aged prime rib is next level! I ordered it medium, and it was cooked to absolute perfection -- tender, flavorful, and so soft it practically melted like sashimi. The baked potato was perfectly fluffy, and the broccolini had that ideal crisp-tender bite. The ambience is great -- perfect spot for a first date! It's not too loud, but lively enough to keep things comfortable and fun. The service was amazing -- so many friendly staff members checking in to make sure everything was just right. Hands down, a 10/10 experience. Can't wait to come back again!

Dinner tonight was fantastic! We ordered the crab fingers appetizer which was absolutely delicious!!! It's a very large portion that comes with fries or dirty rice. We got the fries. We split 3 dishes. The crispy salmon topped with lump crab, scallops & jumbo shrimp, fried shrimp and catfish platter! Our sides were potato puree, broccolini and sautéed spinach! Dimitri our server was amazing! He was very patient and has very good people skills! We tipped him well! The restaurant was bustling as always. Customers were lined up to get in and the place was packed! The vibe was upbeat and chill! If you haven't visited a Pappadeaux, give items a try! They have something for everyone!!!

I bet it's a great place yet it so rare that when I walk in a place that the vibe is so negative. The feel and no talking got from the host had me acting feel very down quickly so I had to make myself leave and go to another place. Again it may be great yet maybe it was just because they were not wanting a single person walking in.

We enjoyed a wonderful birthday dinner at Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen. The waiter (can't remember the name) was very attentive and gave excellent recommendations. He was very efficient and checked with us throughout the meal, my spouse was celebrating his birthday and chose to eat seafood and was not disappointed at all. He started with the roasted oysters which he stated was his favorite. We each had the pappadeaux house salad with creamy (sweet) dressing and house made croutons. I had a broiled seafood of fish, shrimp, extra shrimp to substitute for oysters, loose crab and dirty rice. Spouse had fried platter of catfish, oysters, shrimp, stuffed shrimp and stuffed crab. Waiter provided us with a birthday gift of free brownie to go. We were so full and saved the sweet treat for another night. Dress code is relaxed and comfortable but not beach wear or sloppy dress. Plenty of parking available. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Family friendly as well.

Visited San Antonio, TX for a conference and could not pass up an opportunity to visit Pappadeaux. The food did not disappoint. Service was amazing!

Pappadeaux was a 10/10 experience. The food was fresh, flavorful, and worth every bite. Wait staff was very friendly and helpful. Drinks were sooo good! Portions were huge, service was excellent, and the atmosphere was upbeat and fun. If you love seafood and Cajun flavors, add this to your must-try list!

Love coming to this location for their fried shrimp! The flavor is top tier and the overall beauty and cleanliness of the restaurant is the reason I keep coming back. It definitely makes you feel like you are on a luxury boat the vibe is the perfect mix of cozy and fancy.

I was really craving grilled shrimp. When looking at the menu, I didn't find just plain grilled shrimp. I knew they had it so I asked and the waitress said it was possible!! I ordered I believe 8 shrimp (thinking I won't be full enough for the sides) but.... I was pretty full. It came with a great little side sauce. They were cooked perfectly, broccolini was amazing too. Service was great and all worth it!

Does this location have happy hour?

Why don't they have outdoor dining on their patio anymore?

I have never seen outdoor service at the 410 location but I have at the I10 location

Are reservations accepted for party of 12?

    Yes

Do they still have happy hour in 2021?

    Yes, I believe they do.

    Open on Christmas?

According to the website, they are closed Christmas day.

    Do they have reservation?

Yes. Typically the entire party must be there to be seated. Hope this helps.

    Do they offer military discount?

Yes they do. I'm actually sitting here looking at it in the restaurant it's 25% with valid military ID at the 410 location Jan 20 2020.

Do they serve the little fried cat fish nuggets?

During happy hour, around the bar, they have catfish beignets that are similar to nuggets but a little bit longer... happy hour is from 3:00 to 6:30 I believe.... the rest of the time they have fillets but it's still catfish just shaped differently

The menu is exciting and the concept is definitely there--but unfortunately, my dining experience didn't quite live up to it. I ordered the pecan-crusted trout, which had a nice texture but lacked flavor and seasoning. The dirty rice was also underwhelming, with very little depth or seasoning, and the calamari was a bit rubbery. Overall, the food just didn't hit the mark for me. Service was also a bit inconsistent. During dinner, I found myself having to get up to grab my own salt and pepper, as well as my own place setting, which took away from the experience. That said, I did have a much better interaction the day before when my wife and I stopped by for a glass of champagne at the bar--the bartender was lovely and welcoming. On a positive note, the location is beautiful--right along the River Walk, which makes for a great ambiance and setting. I'd consider giving it another try, but hoping for more consistency in both food and service next time.

R&R is part of a hotel and since the weather was really nice, we decide to sit on the outdoor patio facing the river walk. They have a happy hour menu that runs from 3-6 pm and includes beer, wine and liquor specials and 8 small plate food options. I start off with a margarita on the rocks. When it comes out, the drink is good but could've used a bit more lime in the mix but not bad. For food, I go with the fried shrimp and catfish nuggets. When they come out, the plates are larger than expected and both come with fries. This could easily be shared with two or three people. Everything was friend to perfection, crispy on the outside, moist on the inside and seasoned well. The plates were wiped clean. I ordered a house pinot noir and it was a good. I didn't catch the brand name but would order it again. Overall, this was a great first experience at Roam & Range and will look forward to coming back to try more of the menu. Due to it's location, parking can be tricky so prep ahead.

We didn't realize this place was a cousin of Shiro and owned by the same guy until we saw some similarities in their style, layout and menu but nevertheless, the food was still absolutely amazing. Even though the ambiance had some similarities, I'm glad their food options were distinguished because otherwise could have just gone downtown. You cannot go wrong with any of their food options. Highly recommend doing family style so you can get a taste of everything and all the different flavors. We started with the gyoza and calamari which were to die for and were not greasy at all. Pork ssam, wagyu, miso pasta and octopus all brought a little bit of their own element and flare to your palate that it's hard to describe unless you try it. Wagyu was just melt in your mouth delicious. Pork ssam and octopus had their crunchy texture and umami flavors. The miso pasta added a light refreshing touch to balance everything out but don't let it fool ya, the noodles will expand in your stomach. We topped it off with their yuzu cake. Our only disappointment was they were out of their other desserts but nevertheless everyone of us left full and happy. Would come here again.

When I first read about Yozora, I honestly thought it sounded a bit pretentious. Fascinating, but…read morepretentious. Because the idea of music being an actual integral part of the dining experience--not just some kind of background noise--felt a little precious for my taste. I'm glad to admit I was wrong. So let's start with the ambiance and the vibe of Yozora. It's in a fairly non-descript kind of center; not bad but not specially memorable. But the space itself is open and has an air of restrained sophistication. And then there's that hi-fi set up. The music at Yozora really is part of the experience, but it's not intrusive in the way that you'd think. Most of what my dining companion and I heard was 50s and 60s jazz, and it was perfect for the occasion. Sushi and Coltrane are a great mix, and even though we were not far from the hi-fi system, I could hear every word of our conversation, without the need for either of us to raise a voice. Somehow, it's like the music operates on a different frequency from regular table chatter. Suffice to say, the music enhanced the mood and really set a scene for Yozora's chefs to tell some stories. And that, they do really well. We started out with seasonal tempura and miso masu ceviche--ocean trout marinated in miso, soy, and lime juice--that was sublime. But funnily enough, the real star small plate was a truffle creamy miso soup that was earthy and slightly sweet at the same time and was silky in texture. From there, we ordered a series of crudo and battera, each unique in its own way. It was wonderful stuff, accompanied by a rice lager. The kitchen at Yozora is not shy about experimenting with non-traditional flavors and ingredients. Sometimes it works really well; sometimes, not as well, but it's never bad, and the servers actually ask for feedback for the kitchen, which is something I rarely see. Yozora honestly seems to be most concerned with creating a great dining experience, and it does that, from the chefs to the line cooks to the servers (who are helpful and attentive without hovering). The music, the mood, and the menu add up to a memorable experience.
