Earlier this week, we went to @smashincrab Stone Oak for dinner. Happy hour with food and drinks end at 6pm on weekdays. Dad and hubby had their flavored Lemonade, and I had the Signature Margarita on happy hour. Dad and hubby shared a bowl of Clam Chowder. Dad had the Cod Fish & Chips. Hubby had the Crawfish Etouffee. I had the Lobster Roll with Onion Rings instead of the cajun fries. There was much lobster on that roll. The food was pretty good and Jennifer was an attentive server. Overall, 5 stars.

The wait time was unacceptable. We had a member of our family who is handicapped, and we needed a table near the door. They had several ready to go, but we were never seated. In fact, several groups after us got seated before we did. The restaurant was decorated nicely. Several TVs were on, and I could watch the football game, which was nice. We started with the calamari, which was very good. It tasted fresh and was nicely breaded. My kid liked the corndogs and fries. I ate Bayou Bread. The flavor was good, but I probably won't order it again. The sandwich was yummy and crunchy on one side and soggy on the other. It was described as a grilled cheese with crawfish. Again, excellent flavors, but soggy. Our dessert, however, was phenomenal. We ordered the beignet fries. They came out fresh, covered in a caramel-type sauce and powdered sugar. These were so good. I didn't get a picture because they were gone so fast. Now will I return? For the beignet fries, yes.

Smashin crab was one of the first options in San Antonio for seafood boils. Been to this location so many times! At times it is so crowded the service is not that great. The food seems to be consistent. It is a bit on the pricier side compared to other similar restaurants. It is my go to place on a Friday evening specifically for crawfish. I have tried few other dishes and nothing beats their mix of boil

Work hard play hard eat well. Great service and great specials! Highly recommend. Great place to sit at the bar and catch up on work.

The service here was good. The crab boil was fine not my favorite ever but not the worst I've had. Came out warm and tasted fresh. The drink flight was awful. Drank 1/ 4 of them. The oysters were AWFUL & tasted like soap? We only ate 2. Spent over $300 for 3 of us to eat here- came home hungry. For the price & overall not liking most of the things I ordered other than the crab boil itself- would not recommend.

As always, phenomenal!!! Went on a beautiful day to be outside. This time, however we tried queen crab legs, which I'm not gonna lie I thought it was gonna be less in quality. (versus King) But no!! Yes they were slightly smaller in diameter but they had a sweet distinct flavor. So good. Of course we got the Trinity sauce, because that truly makes it all come together. Will be definitely getting them again in the future. Ty (I think that's his name) was our server and super fun. Had some cocktails and was just a perfect afternoon :)))

Premium costs for pre-frozen crawfish.

Quality is not great as nothing is fresh. Don't come here if you're expecting fresh seafood. Everything is pre-frozen (disappointing) - except the live lobster. Crawfish King uses fresh seafood and is a fraction of the cost. Another example of businesses sacrificing quality to save on expenses.

Service was friendly and attentive. Place is pretty popular. I didn't like that there wasn't much sauce in my boil bag so i didnt really get much flavor from sauce and you have to pay for a side of extra sauce. Tasted a little better when I had more sauce to pour over and dip.

It's located in a shopping center in the Stone Oak area with plenty of parking, even though we went late on a Friday night. The indoor dining was clean, spacious and enough tables to accommodate several parties. Live music for entertainment made for a relaxing time. The indoor lighting had a slight blue tint to provide more of a layback experience. The coconut shrimp appetizer was a good choice and very tasty. The Mojarra Chicharron, whole deep fried Tilapia, was not only delicious, but the presentation was perfect. Precut fried chunks placed on top of the fish made it easy to dip in the sauce and eat. Wifey went with the Pasado Del Rio, filet of Salmon, with lemon butter. It was well prepared and had a good blend of flavors. The prices were fair compared to other upscale seafood restaurants with entrees in the $20 range but also offer some Chef specials up to $75 for a shared meal. The service was adequate even though our server had a large table next to us. Others stepped in and picked up the slack, thus saving the night.

I've heard about this chain and it didn't disappoint as far as the taste and quality of the food…read more However, the food was a bit more pricey than I expected for a place like this. It did have a good price for cocktails which was nice though! The espresso martini was great, however the beans were a bit chewy. I switched to an old fashioned made with Buffalo Trace and it was delicious though. Service was kinda spotty with my waiter disappearing quite a bit. Maybe they see a table with one diner and think they're not going to get a decent tip. I had to ask another server for something at one point which should never be the case. The food was good though. It was hard to decide and since I was on a budget with a work expense, I had to choose wisely and put the booze on a separate tab. The salad was good and fresh and their cajun French dressing was bad. I switched to ranch and was able to enjoy it. The Catfish dish was delicious and came with shrimp, lump crab and oysters. Nice portion size and I was mostly satisfied. The sauce was pretty good for being outside of Louisiana, but still not "authentic". Is anywhere outside of LA great though? Luckily, it was walking distance from my hotel so easy to get to from there. It's on a "frontal" road so you may be driving in circles if you venture here on your own. I'd probably see what else San Antonio has to offer if I return to the area though as it didn't blow me away.

It was flavorful and a very good dish. The grilled red fish with crab meat, grilled shrimp, tomato, garlic, serrano peppers, and creamy buttery sauce over dirty rice was our other entree. The complimentary breads were nice and warm- a mixture of freshly made white and a dried fruit nut bread. The dark bread with dried fruit/nuts was my fave and highly addictive lol Ordered : Baby spinach salad with Brie on the side- fresh spinach drizzled with a light vinaigrette and sprinkled with pieces of dried fruit and bacon. The breaded/fried Brie was ooey gooey goodness. Hubby had the Classic Caesar and he enjoyed it. Both salads were decent large bowl portions. Grilled miso glazed Atlantic salmon- fresh, earthy, healthy, and delicious! A good piece of salmon cooked to perfection in a mild miso glaze and topped with an avocado relish. Everything (the quinoa, toasted cashews, grilled bok choy, and salmon) paired and blended so well together. Pure delish. I was completely full afterwards, but hubby had some space for dessert. Choices for dessert were limited to 3 - crème brûlée, chocolate mousse, or toasted coconut mousse pie. We chose the dark chocolate mousse- absolutely beautiful! Dark chocolate was sinfully good, cocoa nibs added a slightly crunch, and the berries were fresh and plump. We were happily stuffed. Service was excellent and food delicious.
