It's been a while since we visited Costa Pacifica. Decided to go for my birthday dinner. Such a great place to get fresh seafood that won't leave you bloated or empty your wallet. Gemma was our server and was so polite and took great care of us. We started with the Ribeye beef carpaccio. So thin and flavorful with lime and capers. My wife had the fish ceviche that was very fresh and a large portion. I enjoyed the Noruega with the fresh salmon. And the lobster taco was my favorite. Buttery lobster with an aioli, cheese, and avocado. A little messy, but so good. I really like that many of their offerings are available a la carte or a plate. We hear they have a great happy hour. I had never been here before I had a lot of friends recommended to me. I want to to sit at the bar, but the car seats were full, so I sat at a high table that was near the bar. My server seemed very inexperienced. I didn't even get his name because he didn't talk much at all. He checked on the only once. He didn't refill my water or ask if I wanted another margarita I had to flag down somebody else to get me to go container. The server was standing only about 2 feet away and was texting on his phone. then I asked him if I could close out and I paid on the handheld and he just walked off he didn't say anything like thanks for coming or anything like that. Costa Pacífica left a good impression on me. It was my first time here and I decided to try the buffet option which I think is only during the day. It's unique you order three items at a time from the menu and the server brings them out to you. I will say the timing felt slow. Since each dish comes out in smaller sample portions, we were constantly waiting between rounds while ordering. It was worth it the food was delicious and it was fun to chat with my guests and have a more relaxed meal. I loved being able to try a variety of things from the menu. The chicharrón ribeye was definitely my favorite! I also enjoyed the pina colada it came in a coconut and tasted great. Overall experience was fun and different I enjoyed the vibe of this location. Very laid back by the beach type of energy. I'd absolutely come back again to try more dishes. read more

This is a nice restaurant with indoor and outdoor dining. I have a small shared parking lot. The restaurant was recommended by our Lyft driver. They have drinks on the rocks or blended options. They do have a happy hour. The food that we tried for the happy hour was not good at all that ceviche is super spicy and the nachos lacked flavor. The restrooms do not have air and so they have a large fan to blow air into the bathroom. Our waiter was super nice and attentive, the winner made the experience great. But overall, the food was not good. The drinks were super sweet. The bathrooms do not have the sinks on the inside. Hope your experience is better than mine. read more

There's a decent size covered patio and the standard inside seating options. The patio had a DJ set up that was ideal for a"party" atmosphere. We decided to sit inside near the bar for a slightly quieter area. We ordered the jalapeno margarita, Pina colada, fish ceviche and shrimp cocktail. The drinks were just okay. The service was friendly, but just okay as well. The shrimp cocktail and fish ceviche were pretty tasty. Definitely wouldn't mind ordering those again if I return. I did see that there are daily drink specials and music most nights of the week. Three of us went for happy hour on Labor Day, thinking it might be too crowded & long wait. The front dining area was full but we were seated immediately in the adjacent room & our waitress took our drink order quickly. They have drinks & appetizers at HH prices, so we dove in first w frozen margaritas. Ordered tuna carpaccio, shrimp nachos, and fried rice and it was more than enough for the three of us. I'm not normally a raw tuna gal, but this was so well done in the lemony sauce it was in, that I really enjoyed the flavor & textures. The shrimp nachos? So glad we ordered them! Plenty of shrimp & melted cheese on what tasted like home made crispy tortilla chips. I think there were refried beans on the bottom bf the cheese/shrimp, but not certain, since I kept eating them bf checking! They were flavorful and the shrimp were cooked perfectly. But now for the chicken fried rice....superb! I've had cf rice in Asian restaurants here in SA and usually somewhat bland. But they added some spices as they fried, kinda smoky, garlicky, but not overwhelming. It was perfectly cooked but not mushy. Great accompaniment to the nachos! Our frozen margaritas were fresh & delicious as well. The manager sat us when we entered & checked in us a couple of times during our meal. So gracious & all of their staff were polite & professional. We'll definitely go back next time & order just one app, so we can try their entrees. They looked amazing at the surrounding tables. Service was excellent. Of the 3 appetizers we were tried, 2 were excellent. Really disappointed in the chips. We got mainly pieces, bottom of the bag, and they were stale. I will start with not everyone complains when they are in the restaurant because we know it won't mean much. However, we walked in on a Friday evening, let's say to start we asked to be seated outside, the guy at the door said, 'it's reserved' proceeded to sit us in the bar area on a bar table for 2. We sat through dinner in a tiny bar top, and proceeded to see him seat 2 couples that were not part of a party as he took their orders separately. The outdoor area stayed empty through our dinner service ( except for the 2 couples that allegedly reserved the whole out door patio) . Now to the drinks, the corona was hot, the chispa was mediocre along with the service. We specifically asked for an appetizer to be brought out prior to the entree...this then turned to both items being brought out at the exact same time. The costa Pacifica fish was flavorless and the tuna carpaccio was like they took all the leftover bits of tuna and poured some sauce on it. I will say the sauce was actually good. The fish was flavorless 0 seasoning in the batter. Do yourself a favor and save your money for better service and food. read more

We had a large party about 24 people and they only had one server assigned to our section. 2 hours later 6 of us still didn't get our food. We asked for the manager several times he would drop in but immediately leave. He finally came to talk to us and totally blamed the server, never took responsibility. He said he'll bring us desserts to make up for the food, but the food should be out soon. 30 minutes later still no dessert. He came back said he'll comp our beverages, but food and dessert should be coming out. I received my food (fried fish and ceviche), they could have kept the fish. It was absolutely terrible but the ceviche was good. Dessert finally came out and it was delicious, I would have rather eaten the churros than the regular food. He also got the desserts wrong but they just kept it because they were hungry. Their food comes out and it's bagged up to go. No one asked for their food to go. The group was still there and everyone wanted to eat. 2 ladies said just forget it and left. 2 wanted to wait so they prepared it again and they shared the same opinion as me... terrible! We asked for the manager again, he came out and still blamed the server, poor girl did everything she should have and also should have had help. This is a good place to enjoy some Mexican style fish and seafood dishes. It's not inexpensive, but very affordable for a seafood spot. I've come to this restaurant many times, and I don't think I've ever had anything I didn't enjoy. The last time I came was during their happy hour. I ordered a glass of wine with an Noruega Tostada and an amazing Spring Salad. The food was excellent. Their seafood tostada choices are very flavorful and the salad was huge. Besides enjoying my get together, I love that Costa is very bright and airy. There is also an option to sit at their patio, which we didn't at this time, but is perfect for cooler weather. Today we went to try their "All You Can Eat $25" tapas and it was beyond what we expected. Their portion sizes were just right because it gives you the opportunity to try dishes from their menu in smaller portions; and because of this experience, we now know what appetizers, main courses, and desserts we will be ordering in the future. Our waiter Jose Luis Palma was a wonderful waiter and beyond attentive to our requests and needs. My mother, sister, & I truly enjoyed our time this afternoon. The pictures shown below are just some of the tapas we tried. The Baja Shrimp Taco was beyond my favorite taco! The Fettuccini Alfredo was creamy, the pasta al dente, & the shrimps with it- delicious. The tostada de ceviche was fresh and it's literally the best ceviche in town- says my sister. The chicharron de ribeye was outstanding! The tortilla de maíz son hechas a mano y el arroz pollo, riquísimo! Happy hour margaritas are good, the ambiance is decent, and the service was a bit slow. As for the food... absolutely not.

The food is honestly some of the best I have ever had. Absolutely unmatched prices, 24.50 for adults and 15.50 for kids under 10. The food is absolutely delicious! But I won't be enjoying any more meals at Costa Pacifica. I am disappointed and deeply frustrated. Today was my fourth visit to this restaurant, and unfortunately, the same pattern keeps repeating itself. I'm seated by the hostess, then completely ignored by the serving staff--while tables around me are attended to promptly and customers who arrive after me, always get service quickly. This is not an isolated event! Today, I waited about 15 minutes with no greeting, no water, no acknowledgment, while other guests received immediate service. Mine was the only Black family in the restaurant (per usual) and it's incredibly hard not to feel like that's a factor. When this happens once, it might be a fluke. When it happens four times, it's a pattern--and a painful one, especially having to explain the situation to my 5 year old. There was even an instance when my husband went unacknowledged picking up a curbside order. I've complained to the Manager, Fernando so they are aware! No one should feel invisible when they walk into an establishment. I had hoped for better. I won't be returning. read more

Love the shrimp nachos, the gobrenador taco and the fried rice. Always delicious! When it comes to mixed drinks though, there is some room for improvement. Why have drinks posted on the website that you can order, but the waitstaff says they can't make it? The bartender says they can, but they have to google it. The drink I ordered was simply just crown apple, and peach schnapps. Literally is the most simplest thing to mix. Like I said, I'll still continue to come back for the food and the ambiance. We were a large group with a confirmed reservation but when we got there nothing was ready for us and they didn't have servers for us when they finally got tables sat up in the room. The food and drinks took forever. Some left without their food. But I'm assuming this is not the norm so I'm just going on the plate of food I received. This place is always packed no matter at what time you arrive. I had the Mango margarita, which I was already singing Mariachis after the 1st one. Lol. The margarita was made with real mango pulp. Of course it was yummy. I had the Coconut Shrimp, rice, salad and a special sauce for the shrimp. The shrimp was fried at the right temperature, it was moist and the batter was crispy. The pieces of grilled pineapple complimented plate beautifully. The rice has a little bit of lemon juice which opened my taste buds and the need to have a little bit more of Shrimp. They had a band playing on a Friday night. Come on over and have some fun, I guarantee that you will love this place. What will make this place a 5 stars? We came here for dinner on Friday night and it was quite busy but overall the experience was great. My wife had fish, my son had ceviche, and I had sliced ribeye tacos. All were very good and the portions were a good size. We had a great waitress who was very busy, and the only downside was the bar. We had to wait a really long time for our beers and there was plenty of people behind the bar and none of them looked like they were in much of a hurry at all. I may have that wrong but the optics of it were not great on a busy Friday night. I can tell you what the bartender shirt said because I read it over and over again as he was standing so still. She took the order incorrectly and said it couldn't be corrected because she had already submitted the order. The food we received was not good, no taste.
