My favorite red beans and rice didn't miss her
Monica D.

This is our go to fish place mid week for HH, kid friendly meals, and great food. I have had a lot of things on the menu fish and chips, power bowls, tacos, specials etc. Even the dessert is amazing especially the key lime pie. Always a great place to eat with family and friends. Great customer service too!

Never had a bad meal here. Tonight I had blackened redfish with shrimp with dirty rice and green beans. Went well with Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc. Service is always good.

First crawfish of the season and Fish City did not disappoint tonight. We like FCG because they offer different spice levels (my wife can't do spicy) so we are both happy here. We almost always sit at the bar, so the service is generally good. Tonight, Tyler was working and although the service was good, he has no personality. It's obvious that if you aren't a regular, you're not treated quite as well.

Great Father's Day dinner with my family. Fish City Grill never disappoints. The calamari appetizer was the best. My trout was excellent. My mother loved her clam chowder. My wife and son had amazing cheeseburgers! Can't wait to return!

Fish City Grill is one of our favorite seafood restaurants, especially after a long run. I always have a great recovery meal with leftovers. Derrick is our favorite waiter. He always talks great care of us. Today, I had crawfish and my husband the mixed steamed seafood platter. Oh my. Always so good. Derrick is the BEST served. We always ask for Derrick when we come. Love love love Fish City Grill!

Last night, we had dinner at @fishcitygrill Northwoods. Melissa was our attentive server. It was a busy night for a Monday. Dad and Hubby shared a bowl of clam chowder. Hubby and I shared the House Salad. We all shared a dozen of the Mystic Mermaid Oysters on happy hour. For my entrée, I had the Shrimp Piccata Pasta. Very yummy! Hubby had the Flounder with mashed potatoes. Dad split the FishWich and fries with Hubby. It was all so good! @fishcitygrill has several locations in town. Definitely a great stop for seafood! Check them out!

This place is usually busy, for a reason. The specials are as good as the regular menu. The food is excellent and servers are extremely nice and knowledgeable about the menu.

Ahi Tuna Tartare

The food was great as always. The tuna tartare tasted fresh and the wonton chips were warm and crispy. The calamari was also delicious and paired with a nice sweet chili sauce. We asked to sit outside since it was nice day but we waited over 10 minutes and nobody attended to us so we decided to go inside and address the wait staff. They were apologetic and offered a free appetizer. Hopefully the staff is more attentive moving forward.

First time trying this restaurant and I'm happy we did. We ordered the seafood platter and catfish and oysters. Everything tasted fresh and cooked perfectly. Our waiter Cedric was very helpful and made some good recommendations. I would have given 5 stars but the mashed potatoes were dry. The atmosphere was nice and simple. We will definitely try this place again

Salmon with shrimp and crawfish

Quick seating and a nice selection on the menu. I tried the Branzino and the salmon, both were delicious! My food came out a little cold at first, but the staff offered to fix it right away. Nautical themed with a large bar selection. Overall, I'd still recommend this spot as a solid option for seafood.

It has been a couple of years since I've last tried this restaurant that has never disappointed only disappointed I haven't been back there sooner. The fried seafood plate was very well prepared and crunchy but soft at the same time, very delicately fried and prepared to perfection. Not at all like most other fried seafood chain restaurants. You could tell it is all prepared on the spot and not reheated and it comes out so quick and delicious! The only side I had a hard time eating was the extremely seasoned Cajun rice with sausage and chicken that felt very much reheated and over seasoned in contrast to the rest of the food. The rest of the food was very good! We all enjoyed most of our food as well as the service. The server was very attentive and friendly. Ambiance was quiet but casual. No wonder this restaurant has been open for this long. Always only the best. Check out this place for more sea food options.

Blackened rainbow trout with garlic wilted spinach, and lemon basil rice. Yum!

Friday 6:30 pm dinner on a January winter evening, party of 2. Fresh eats, tasty cocktails and good service. I recommend. Details below. Arrived to a full house, and some patrons dining outside in 50 degree weather under large outdoor heaters. Told it'd be 30 minute wait and chose to stand by bar instead of waiting outside or in the car. All bar seats taken. Bartenders didn't tend to me. Chris, the manager on duty offered to get me a drink. I addressed the situation with him. Wait was actually 15-20 minutes and Melissa provided great table service inside. Other managers on duty also offered additional assistance if needed. My blacken trout was delicious and very healthy with rice and spinach. My friend's scallops wrapped in bacon was filling.

Fish & Chips and Lobster & Shrimp Rolls

Went here over the weekend and food was really fresh and cocktails were good! I had fish and chips and my girlfriend had the lobster & shrimp rolls. Caesar was our waiter and he did a great job checking in on us and making sure our food came out perfect. Would recommend this location!

It's located in a shopping center in the Stone Oak area with plenty of parking, even though we went late on a Friday night. The indoor dining was clean, spacious and enough tables to accommodate several parties. Live music for entertainment made for a relaxing time. The indoor lighting had a slight blue tint to provide more of a layback experience. The coconut shrimp appetizer was a good choice and very tasty. The Mojarra Chicharron, whole deep fried Tilapia, was not only delicious, but the presentation was perfect. Precut fried chunks placed on top of the fish made it easy to dip in the sauce and eat. Wifey went with the Pasado Del Rio, filet of Salmon, with lemon butter. It was well prepared and had a good blend of flavors. The prices were fair compared to other upscale seafood restaurants with entrees in the $20 range but also offer some Chef specials up to $75 for a shared meal. The service was adequate even though our server had a large table next to us. Others stepped in and picked up the slack, thus saving the night.

She checked on us multiple times to make sure we had everything we needed, which I really appreciated. Now, let's talk about the FOOD! I ordered the Cheese Willie with a side of onion rings, and my other mother got the three chicken tender kids meal. I LOVE cheeseburgers, and this one did not disappoint. The burger was thick, juicy, and cooked perfectly, the bread was soft, and the whole thing was just delicious. And the onion rings?! Y'all, I am VERY picky when it comes to onion rings, and these were SO good, and absolutely ginormous! Overall, we had a great experience from the atmosphere to the service to the food. The outdoor patio seating was nice, and they even had a sand pit with toys for the kids, which was a great touch. The service was attentive and quick. I was a little confused about the drink setup since I didn't realize some drinks were self serve, but our waitress ended up bringing them out for us anyway. For an appetizer, we tried the Macaroni Brisket Balls, and they were phenomenal. I'm usually pretty picky when it comes to dishes like this, but these left a great impression. They were packed with flavor, super cheesy, and served hot. Definitely something I'd order again. For my entrée, I had the fried shrimp, which was delicious as well. Whatever batter they use has a great texture and a perfectly crunchy finish. To end the evening, we tried the bourbon bread pudding and the apple pie. Both were delicious, but the apple pie was my favorite and finished the meal perfectly. The bourbon bread pudding was good too, it has a strong bourbon flavor, so if you're not a fan, you may want to skip that one. Overall, it was a nice time, super relaxing, and I'll definitely be back. Thank you!

I wanted to come here since the "Mojarra Chicharron" fish dish was tasty the last time I was here with friends who also ordered it as well since we had it another time before. It was consistently well-prepared and tasty. Well, I talked it up and ended up ordering it again. I asked the waitress what kind of fish they use and first she said Tilapia. Then I asked is that all you have because I remember it was a different fish? Then she said they have Red Snapper and a Sea Bass. She said the Red Snapper is the most popular so I picked that one. My friends ordered street tacos and Guacamole. First off, we sat in a booth and the dance music was way too loud and as the waitress was explaining certain things on the menu, we couldn't hear her. Each booth has a speaker above so even if we moved, the music would be the same volume. We asked her if she could turn it down since we couldn't even hear each other talking and had to raise our voices. When we mentioned it to the waitress, she said she'd ask her manager. After we said this, the people in the next booth over also complained that it was too loud. I think the waitress lowered it twice since the first time wasn't enough. When we got our dishes, I noticed that my fish presentation was basically a sloppy presentation with a boney carcass on top & dry fish pieces on the bottom that were not intact as before and as represented in the menu. I thought of trying to eat it but it was dry and not flavorful. Even my salad was dry with no salad dressing?? I asked the waitress if they could bring vinegar and she said they don't have vinegar?? I said "You don't have vinegar??" And she said "No" so I asked for lemon and she said they have limes and if that was okay? I said that was fine so my plate had a pile of limes. My friends and I thought what kind of restaurant doesn't have vinegar on-hand?? I even asked if they had salad dressing and she said they only had Ranch dressing. We looked puzzled again as we thought it was weird that they didn't have several options for salad dressings? She didn't bother to ask in the kitchen if they had vinegar because we asked another server & he said they did and was it okay if it's the dark kind with oil & I said perfect!! Any vinegar is fine. He brought the rusty bottom tray out to us with vinegar and oil and I was relieved. We asked for at least Ranch Dressing before that because my salad was dry but the waitress never came. We think she was overwhelmed and had too many tables. Perhaps she was new too? I ended up eating some pieces and was disappointed so I pushed it aside to the left of me. I lost my appetite and didn't want to eat dry rice, dry fish that the vinegar couldn't even save nor dry salad. My friend saw my disappointment and went up to the Manager to explain the situation. The Manager came to the table back & said she'd take it off our bill & apologized saying the cook who does the fish called in & it's sad what happened to him and that she felt emotional just talking about it. I said I was sorry that happened as I'm empathetic to these things. I still think they should've had a backup cook who can prepare the fish instead of just one person who's the expert or knowing that cook is the only one who can prepare it correctly, don't offer any fried fish dishes. The waitress asked if I wanted a dessert even to go but I didn't even care to eat anything else they had to offer. I just wanted to leave. The waitress came back with the bill and also took off the guac & 25% off my friends' dishes. I appreciate the gesture but it was still a ruined experience. If I came back, I'd ask if someone can prepare the fish correctly that day before I order that.
