We came to Aguazul to celebrate Father's Day, and honestly, mariscos are the best way to celebrate! Everyone ordered something different, which gave us the chance to try a little bit of everything, and every dish was a hit. We started with the cream cheese-stuffed chiles, and they were outstanding. They had the perfect balance of sweetness with just enough spice. We also shared the tiradito, which was incredibly fresh, bright, and the perfect appetizer for a seafood feast. My husband ordered the Sopa Siete Mares and a shrimp cocktail. The portions are generous, so there was no way he could finish both, but he absolutely loved the cocktail. The flavors were fresh, well-balanced, and exactly what you want from great mariscos. I can never pass up Culichi-style sushi, so I ordered the breaded El Ronin roll, while my daughter had El Samurai. If you've never had Sinaloa-style fusion sushi, you're missing out. The flavors are bold, creative, and so satisfying. My other daughter ordered the pulpo, and it was cooked perfectly tender from the first bite to the last, with none of the chewiness that octopus can sometimes have. To top it all off, I had a cocktail called the Fish. It was served in the cutest little bird-shaped glass and made with vodka, passion fruit, mango, and lemon. It was refreshing, fruity, and the perfect complement to the meal. Between the fresh seafood, generous portions, creative menu, and excellent flavors, Aguazul delivered a fantastic Father's Day lunch. We'll definitely be back! read more

Interesting place. Went for lunch, they do have a lunch menu. All items on the lunch menu are $15. I got the fish tacos, pretty darn good. Two fish tacos, rice, and a small salad. Menu said they make their own ranch and balsamic dressings. Ranch seemed ok, couldn't really taste it. Lettuce looked a little brown, so I didn't eat much of it. I really liked the salsa, chips were fresh made. Massive menu- fried seafood, ceviche, fajitas, enchiladas, sushi rolls and pizza. Bar menu looked fun with their drink offerings. We went to Aguazul with a good size group and overall had a great time. The happy hour menu was awesome, with lots of good options for appetizers and drinks. The ceviche was fresh and delicious, although it was served in a bag of chips, which was interesting. I personally would have loved to have it with their house chips because they really good! The happy hour drinks were tasty, and the restaurant itself is bright, colorful, and very welcoming. Everyone in our group enjoyed the food, and I would definitely come back for lunch or dinner. The only downside was the service. The wait staff just didn't seem very attentive, and not a single server smiled during our visit. We had to ask for refills several times and flag someone down when staff members were standing around talking to each other. A little more friendliness and attention would make a huge difference. I've been here for lunch and it was great. Food was delicious and service was on point. Restaurant is picturesque. I saw some IPA's and asked about happy hour. The HH deals sounded good so I made it back for HH. During happy hour we sat at the bar. The bartender was unwelcoming and uninterested. At first, we noticed some gnats. No big deal until we got our food. Tons of gnats surrounded us. I had to cover my food to avoid the gnats. We mentioned this to the bartender who dismissed our concern. I'll start first with I thought food was 5/5. But rest was why I won't be back. It took me 10 minutes to get seated in a restaurant that had maybe 3-4 tables. Only 1-2 waiters and no hostess. Everything took a while to get but ceviche and sushi. They were friendly so there was that. Spicy salsa was amazing. Tasted like Valentina sauce mixed with their salsa. Sushi was shockingly good here. Main thing was menu was very over priced. I know so many better places to eat that's better value than this for same kind of food. Ambiance from outside looks great. My husband and I dropped in during happy hour time and was surprised at what they offered on their HR menu. Their selection was great. I opted for sushi and let me tell you, I am so glad I did! Excellent lunch menu includes tea for only $15. I had a large breaded fish filet with 3 breaded large shrimp and a side salad. Three tea refills. Very friendly service, but like everywhere they are having to train new waitresses/waiters. Wine only by the glass and only 3 or 4 choices, but lots of beer choices. Dinner menu is huge and varied. I hate writing bad reviews but for the price of el guapo my sister and I shared. The octopus tentacles were tough and dry, it was seasoned well but very hard to cut through. The shrimp cocktail tasted sweet, im unsure if it was the chamoy rim, which I thought was gross personally or my sister thought it tasted like it had too much salsa iglesia. The calamari had no seasoning and my sister bit into one that was still raw dough inside, I comend her for swallowing that, I would of spit it out but she was embarrassed. The fried shrimp was seasoned well and they were good. The aguachile flavor was really nice but alot of the shrimp needed more time marinating before the dish was brought out we had to fish around and eat the more cooked pieces and dunk the more raw looking ones back in the sauce. I ate a baby scallop in the agua chile it was completely raw had to spit it out. We ordered the Tamarindo ribs to start we were hoping they would be more tangy but they were very sugary, they were cooked well but not what we expected. Sister got a cocktail she said it was good. The guy that seated us was really nice and told us about happy hour for next time. Our server was nice. The restaurant itself is decorated very pretty. I might come back for happy hour one day? Ceviche portion is pretty small and the only difference is the plate size, the medium is small and the small es extra small, waiters doesn't have idea of what are the sizes of what they are serving. We waited about 40 minutes just to get our drinks. Our waitress apparently forgot to bring my water and glass of wine because when we asked about the missing items, she looked completely confused and asked if I wanted another one even though I had never received the first. She then asked me to repeat what drinks I had ordered. I could understand a delay if the restaurant was busy, but there were about six waitresses and no more than ten tables at the time, so the long wait for drinks really didn't make sense. My husband's tea also looked murky, almost like muddy water. After waiting 40 minutes, they finally started bringing the missing drinks, but by then we had already decided to leave. We left $20 on the table and went to get sushi at Goro's instead. The food menu also felt very scattered they offer sushi, ceviche, pizza, and fried foods so it didn't seem very focused. read more
