I know this place used to be Dry Oyster Dock and I never had any problems with them so I decided to try this restaurant that took its place. I ordered the catfish plate. I ordered in person (since it's just a couple minutes away from my house) and waiting about 10-15 minutes before my food came out. Please note: there are no food substitutes The plate comes with 3 filets, fries, and hush puppies. The flavor of the fish seemed off to me, not in a bad way but in a weird way like that put something sweet in their fry batter. I also have to point out that this is not true catfish, it seems like it's Swai. That could be the reason why it didn't taste like catfish and the texture didn't hold up as well either. While the staff were super friendly, I wouldn't say this would be a regular spot for me to visit. Maybe I'll try something else and update my review.

The main problem this place has right now is AIR CONDITIONING! It's 100 degrees out and we Texans like to be cool while we eat. The bar area was way too hot to be comfortable, even with the fans on. The server said it's like that every day. Ugh. I did notice that it was cooler in the back after I got up to go to the restroom, but by then we were already seated and had ordered. We decided to pretend that we were actually at a beachside bar sitting outside. It didn't work. We were sweating bullets by the time we finished eating, and were extremely uncomfortable. I noted that there was only one other person in the restaurant other than us. We did not get the boil or oysters, so I cannot speak to those dishes. We did get the fried catfish/shrimp platter and it was good. The batter on both the fish and shrimp was not overbearing or too heavy. The cocktail and tartar sauces were somewhat bland, but the French fries were good. I had eaten there a few times when it was Dry Dock and it really isn't much different now. The best thing I can say is that if it were indeed a beach bar located on a beach, it would be fine. But when there are so many other great options for seafood in our town, it is mediocre at best. I probably won't go back. Maybe a carry out if I get another craving for fried food. And they charge a fee for using a credit card which annoys me. I don't carry around a bunch of cash and if they can't figure out how to process credit cards and still make a profit, that's not my problem. Sorry, but it comes right out of the tip.

This new restaurant in the medical center area, large variety of seafood. We got served by Oksana, she greet us with a warm smile, answered our questions. We came for crawfish it was tasty it was an enjoyable meal. I will definetely coming back. The oyster was juicy and tasty.

Lucy, our waitress and bartender was amazing. It was a great spot to hang out and have fun. It kinda reminded me of a "CHEERS" spot where everyone is family. The owner was engaged with the customers. The oysters were amazing. I had boil bag #2 with medium spice. Lucy made an amazing lemon drop, called, 'Blue Lucy'

No issues with parking also wheelchair accessible.

We first came on Saturday we had fried shrimo and French fries. The reason I didnt give 5 stars my husband is diabetic. They dont do subitutes. So he could get coleslaw in place of French. So they were wasted. There is only one restroom stall for women Id guess for men also? The restroom was very roomy and clean. The lunch special is $13 for half pound of shrimp, corn, 1 big potatoes and 1 corn. The shrimp were big. Im from SE Louisiana. Otherwise this may not bother you? They dont devine the shrimp. See photo for information on that. It was so so messy. Next visit I will ask for sauce on the side. This will help alot. I dont drink anything carbonated. So ice tea is important to me. Two visits it has a strong after taste. The good now the place is very very clean. Gabe our waiter they are very lucky to have hes adorable, friendly and very attentive. I saw how he interacted with customers. He is a natural he is a people person. The music is a great choice. There is also many tvs. I will come again and try sauce on the side and drink water. Give it a try I just hope this review helps. I asked hes off Wednesday, Thursday and Saturdays.

That's the thickness of the catfish!

They've upgraded the decor from the old Drydock. Oysters are good. But fried catfish was mostly breading (no fish!) & no substitutions! Coleslaw instead of fries-NO! Customers are not #1.

I have been several times to the previous Dry Dock which I watched it going downhill throughout the last couple of years. Now Crab City is open which I am wondering if it is the same owner as I read online in an article I decided to give it a chance and of course wanting to always eat crawfish that was the main thing I ordered. The lady who served us is extremely friendly and sweet! Finally a change from all the bad service and attitude from the last waitress I always got from the previous restaurant The restaurant is empty which also made me wonder how long it will survive The ambiance is still the same... even the decor hasn't changed Now about the food... nothing really to talk about. It is average and I think a bit overly priced. $15 for a pound of crawfish The saddest part is seeing 2 customers walking in, seems they were regulars at the previous restaurant asking for items that they do not have anymore... they left Sadly I will not return

I got 3 classics and 1 stuffed with peaches and cream. The music was a mixture between jazz, r&b, and a little funk. It added a nice touch on this rainy morning, especially jamming to James Brown. The NOLA plate was good, but super duper heavy. The praline bacon is tasty and nicely sweet, the eggs with seasoning was probably my favorite part. The grits were good just super filling. The fried green tomato was also yummy just a bit salty. Overall 7.5/10 The mixed beignets came with four, a lemon one, chocolate, plain and flavor of the month which was a strawberry jam with sprinkles. Strawberry jam was terrible, a sin to beignets. It's just too sweet and oozes out (2/10). Lemon was okay just a bit too tart (5/10). Chocolate was surprisingly good; it tasted like warm mexican hot chocolate (7/10) Plain will always be my favorite though (8.5/10) even if this one is a bit doughy! Service was good especially for our large party! The interior is gorgeous with great natural lighting.

Birthdays, random cravings, "we survived the week" dinners & you name it, we've probably celebrated it here. The vibe is casual, fun, and laid-back, which is exactly what you want when you're about to put on a bib and commit to a seafood boil. And yes, that is exactly what you should do here because the boils never miss. The seafood is always fresh, the sauces are flavorful, and the spice levels are not playing around. My recommendation? Stick with level 2 unless you enjoy sweating through your meal and reevaluating your life choices. My go-to combo is mussels, shrimp, crab legs, potatoes, boiled egg, and veggies. And before anybody gets suspicious about the veggies in a seafood boil, hear me out, they absolutely belong there. They soak up all that buttery, spicy sauce and add something extra to the whole experience. Don't skip them. Also, get the flights. They're fun, they're good, and they make an already good time even better. We started with the 1/2 dozen chargrilled oysters ($19.12) and the Smash'd Margarita Flight ($11 during happy hour). Chargrilled Oysters: 8.5/10 The oysters were cooked in garlic butter and Parmesan and served with crispy toast. The toast was definitely a highlight for me it added such a good texture and paired really well with the oysters. I would absolutely order these again! Smash'd Margarita Flight: (9/10) This was a fun way to get a taste of the different margaritas they offer. The prickly pear was my favorite of the flight! Shrimp Boil: (10/10) For our main meal, we ordered the shrimp boil from the happy hour menu and added a few extras. I loved how customizable the boils were. They have a great variety of add-ons, from broccoli to ramen noodles, and you can also choose your seasoning and spice level. Overall, we had a great experience. The brisket served to me was the most unappetizing, dry, and lukewarm excuse for brisket that I've had in a long time. It was terrible.
