    Date night was amazing
    Jerry R.

Amazing Mariscos. I always get the botana mix when I go. Plenty of food for two- four people. The service is always good and attentive. They also have michaladas and other drink options. It is a bit loud but the vibe is still good. It has a vibe from Mexico and it will keep you awake. Not a lull in the meal.

Best service, always generous portions, very loud energetic environment colorful and always clean ambiance overall a great spot looking forward to their new location coming soon to Wurzbach rd area

    4. Ceviche Verde

#supportlocal

I can't get enough of this place. The food here is so good specially if you are getting aguachile or if you like seafood. The ambiance iis loud but if you like live music this is your place to be. I am trying out different plates every time I go. I recommend the aguachiles, octopus, oysters, and the chiccarron fish. But so far everyone I tasted had been good.

Loved the friendly atmosphere and happy staff.

Tacos and Ceviche were amazing. Fresh food. Come hungry, the staff feed you like family. Best place to feed your seafood craving!

The ambiance was super chill, we went during lunch and there wasn't much ppl so the waitress was on it, the shrimp tacos I got were fresh & great, I'm still thinking about them.. the service was great. Our waitress was super sweet and on top of everything. I will definitely be back, can't wait to try other items on the menu.

Wow this place is a hidden paradise. Seafood made different ways especially with lime juice. The plates are large enough to share and the atmosphere will help bring joy to your food at another level. You've gotta try this place out!

Food was great. This was our 2nd time eating here. I enjoyed the plancha fish tacos. My husband enjoyed the carne asada torta.

My husband saw this place on FB so we had to try it. What can I say but WOW WOW WOW! The first thing I noticed was how clean it was from floor to tables. The staff greeted us and it wasn't long before someone came by with a basket of fried corn tortillas and crackers . Our server was amazing, friendly, recommending a few item. We went with the Botona Suprema.....it had everything we want to eat and taste. The octopus was grilled to perfection. Everything was so fresh. Picture below.

Excellent mariscos. I loved the aquachiles verdes. The mini tacos pulpos were excellent and the fillete de ajo mojo was great. We'll be back to sample more of their extensive menu. Service was fast and friendly. Nice, clean and bright spot to enjoy seafood on the West side.

Greeted us and sat us down right away. Soon after no one bothered to come check on us, not for drinks or offer a menu for a good 10 minutes possibly longer. Mind you two parties of 4 sat in front of us and on the side of us who got seated after us and were attended to right away. So much so that their appetizers and drinks came out and we were still waiting on a menu and take our drink order. Finally a waiter came out and he made up for the experience. He was super quick, nice and apologetic, he knew it was wrong because before we could say anything he proceeded to apologize. The rice was bland, the tostadas were stale. However the aguachiles was terrific. Extremely good and flavorful, they were about a jalapeño away from being inedible but we love spicy food. Red and green sauce were also very good.

Great service, huge menu, plenty of shrimp, octopus, and oyster options. There's also a small kids menu.

The texture of fish is crunchy on the outside with a flaky, meaty texture on the inside . The wings are fried in a way that's just right. They are crunchy and the sauce adheres so well without making them soggy. The green beans, red beans, and wedges are great options for sides to accompany the fish and wings. When I came up to the place it wasn't a sit down place to eat, but that you have to order which was confusing as there were a lot of other restaurants within the small space. There was a guy there that was picking up wing and he stated that they were the best and big pieces. So he showed me how to order. And I place my order as it was Wednesday dollar day for wings so I order wings. I had the parmesan garlic, lemon pepper. Let me tell you they were so good, the wait was too long but worth the wait. The menu is exciting and the concept is definitely there--but unfortunately, my dining experience didn't quite live up to it. I ordered the pecan-crusted trout, which had a nice texture but lacked flavor and seasoning. The dirty rice was also underwhelming, with very little depth or seasoning, and the calamari was a bit rubbery. Overall, the food just didn't hit the mark for me. Service was also a bit inconsistent. During dinner, I found myself having to get up to grab my own salt and pepper, as well as my own place setting, which took away from the experience. That said, I did have a much better interaction the day before when my wife and I stopped by for a glass of champagne at the bar--the bartender was lovely and welcoming. On a positive note, the location is beautiful--right along the River Walk, which makes for a great ambiance and setting. R&R is part of a hotel and since the weather was really nice, we decide to sit on the outdoor patio facing the river walk. They have a happy hour menu that runs from 3-6 pm and includes beer, wine and liquor specials and 8 small plate food options. I start off with a margarita on the rocks. When it comes out, the drink is good but could've used a bit more lime in the mix but not bad. For food, I go with the fried shrimp and catfish nuggets. When they come out, the plates are larger than expected and both come with fries. This could easily be shared with two or three people. Everything was friend to perfection, crispy on the outside, moist on the inside and seasoned well. The plates were wiped clean. I ordered a house pinot noir and it was a good. I didn't catch the brand name but would order it again. Overall, this was a great first experience at Roam & Range and will look forward to coming back to try more of the menu. I have not been around someone smoking in so long and the last place I want it is in a restaurant. The boil was decent. The problem is salt. There was so much salt on the sausage and other parts of the boil that it was not all edible. The crab in the boil was good, the shrimp was okay, the muscles okay. No one ate the sausage, most of the potatoes were left bc they were hard. I will say the calamari was the reason for the extra star. Everyone agreed the calamari was excellent. The sweet tea was great. There is graffiti on everything. The walls, the chairs, the leather , the decor. If your kids can read and you don't want to answer questions as a parent this is not the place for you. It was filthy, there was food all over the ground. When we sat down there was shrimp, French fries and potatoes under our table. We did not see a single person cleaning the floors. This was not a good night out. The staff was super attentive, checking on us often and making sure we were well taken care of. It felt like they really wanted to make this a positive experience. The food was great: crawfish, shrimp, and snow crab with their signature spice blend that's definitely on the spicy side but absolutely delicious. We also tried the regular fries, and next time I'm definitely going for the sweet potato fries to keep it a little more glycemic-friendly.
