    Grilled trout and shrimp
    Diana G.

I was happy to see a new restaurant by my side of town and even happier to know if it was a seafood restaurant. I stopped by for dinner one day. I was surprised to see that it closes at 7 PM. I am hoping they will eventually extend their hours. You order at the counter and they bring out your food to your table. They have three types of fish, the trout is the only one that has bones and they can debone it for a dollar. They also have catfish and tilapia. All their meals are fried, but you can request them to be grilled. They also have shrimp that can also be requested grilled. I decided on the grilled trout and shrimp and substituted my fries for hush puppies. I did opt for the one dollar deboning fee. My trout and shrimp were seasoned well and the portion of the fish was pretty big. The shrimp were on the small side. The order of hush puppies came with six hush puppies. They do bring you sauces out per request. If you like a lot of sauce, you'll have to let them know because they only give you a small cup. They did offer white bread with my meal. I opted for a slice, but then realized I didn't go well with grilled fish. The staff members were super nice and they answered all my questions. The restaurant has inside seating. There is parking available, but shared with the other businesses.

My daughter and I ate lunch today at this Bayseas and the meal was mediocre. The fried talipia was ok, the fried okra was good, the hush puppies were pre-made, the fries were ok and the kool-aid punch was good. My daughter ordered a cup of gumbo, which was too spicy for her taste, the fried shrimp were ok, there was too much batter on the shrimp, the Arnold Palmer was great, the sweet potato pie was not homemade and the crust was raw. The peach cobbler was ok, a little too sweet. The food is really fast food, not tasting like home cooked at the Bayseas on Nacogdoches. They need to hire more staff, service was slow and one customer left the restaurant. RECOMMENDATION: Ok if you like real fried food vs. home cooked.

    Catfish with shrimp and fries.

First time here. Ordered the 2 pcs catfish$9.99 special. Not a lot of people. Pretty quiet tonight. Cashier was nice and funny. Food was delicious and plenty full.

I had seen a few advertisements about this location and decided to give it a try (I have been to a couple of the other locations). It did not disappoint. The only reason I gave it four stars is because I was really looking forward to eating a piece of cornbread and when I got it I realized they put cinnamon on theirs. I am not a fan but I'm sure others will enjoy it. The fish was cooked perfectly, crust was nice and flaky, the flavor was over the top and the pieces were huge. The fries were basic, I felt like they could use a little more flavor but they weren't bad. The atmosphere was great, nice and quiet, very clean and the staff were very patient and respectful. They allowed me to take my time in making a decision about what to order. All in all I will return. Highly recommended.

Walk in the atmosphere is super cool, very subtle but has ties to seafood restaurants that we had visited in the Boston area, which was kind of nice. The service staff was very friendly, and the food was quick to come out We had oysters on the half show, which were absolutely delicious. They have three different kinds, and the server was knowledgeable enough to explain to us what the different kinds were, size, graininess, and other intangibles that would help us make our decision, and I'm glad he did because we got the Gulf oysters and they were awesome My wife had a Lobster and shrimp roll, which was one of the most delicious things I think I've ever tasted in a seafood restaurant, I went standard with fish and chips, and they were quite amazing, battered properly, lightly fried, golden brown, hot and juicy on the inside, with very little grease residue, five out of five would definitely eat those Again. If you are in the area and you are looking for a affordable and delicious seafood option, do not hesitate. Hop into Fish City Grill and you will not be disappointed

Birthdays, random cravings, "we survived the week" dinners & you name it, we've probably celebrated it here. The vibe is casual, fun, and laid-back, which is exactly what you want when you're about to put on a bib and commit to a seafood boil. And yes, that is exactly what you should do here because the boils never miss. The seafood is always fresh, the sauces are flavorful, and the spice levels are not playing around. My recommendation? Stick with level 2 unless you enjoy sweating through your meal and reevaluating your life choices. My go-to combo is mussels, shrimp, crab legs, potatoes, boiled egg, and veggies. And before anybody gets suspicious about the veggies in a seafood boil, hear me out, they absolutely belong there. They soak up all that buttery, spicy sauce and add something extra to the whole experience. Don't skip them. Also, get the flights. They're fun, they're good, and they make an already good time even better. Smashin Crab is one of those places we keep coming back to because it's reliable in the best way: good seafood, great flavor, and the kind of meal that feels like an event every time.

Jenn was our server, and she was amazing very attentive, informative, and provided great service throughout our visit. The ambiance was a fun, lively vibe with music playing, and the restaurant was clean. The happy hour menu had a great selection, with everything from shrimp boils to cocktails. We started with the 1/2 dozen chargrilled oysters ($19.12) and the Smash'd Margarita Flight ($11 during happy hour). Chargrilled Oysters: 8.5/10 The oysters were cooked in garlic butter and Parmesan and served with crispy toast. The toast was definitely a highlight for me it added such a good texture and paired really well with the oysters. I would absolutely order these again! Smash'd Margarita Flight: (9/10) This was a fun way to get a taste of the different margaritas they offer. The prickly pear was my favorite of the flight! Shrimp Boil: (10/10) For our main meal, we ordered the shrimp boil from the happy hour menu and added a few extras. I loved how customizable the boils were. They have a great variety of add-ons, from broccoli to ramen noodles, and you can also choose your seasoning and spice level. Overall, we had a great experience. Good food, a fun atmosphere, plenty of options, and great service from Jenn. We'll definitely be back and those chargrilled oysters will be making another appearance at the table! It was served with flatbread for dipping, and the lemon butter sauce was absolutely delicious. I followed our server's recommendation and ordered the Chicken Napoletana for my entrée. I would absolutely come back just to order this dish again. We also had the pizza and spaghetti with meatballs, and both were delicious. The bread deserves a special mention as well- 10/10. I found this restaurant while visiting San Antonio and wanted to avoid dining near the River Walk, so I followed an article that listed it as the best authentic Italian restaurant in the city. After eating here, I completely agree with that assessment. Overall, this was an outstanding meal and a place I would gladly recommend to anyone looking for excellent Italian food in San Antonio.

We ordered the fish chicharron. Not even close to the same dish served at the other location. It made us so upset, that it's not even worth talking about anymore. My son LOVES the paella at the other location. He picked the shrimp out and refused to eat the rest. We all tried it and agreed, it lacked flavor, and it didn't even feel like it was cooked the same. I ordered the caldo 7 mares. This one is mixed. It was FULL of seafood...but ZERO of the rich seafood broth you expect. For the price, the broth should at least taste...well, no joke but it should taste like fish. Even salt didn't help. The misses ordered the fried fish and shrimp. That was the best dish, and not by much. We had a michelada, and it wasn't bad, but again didn't hold a candle to the other location. The one sauce, the chipotle mayo type, was absolutely delicious. The green one not so much. Even that sauce is completely different than the 151 location. The chips were stale... Our waitress visited us once, and we WERE the only family dining there. No refills for us I guess! We were perplexed how the same family of restaurants can be so different!!! Visit the 151 location, trust me!
