Food was superb, well done and seasoned. The whole fish was a good size for the market price. Staff was attentive and courteous. Ambiance was comfortable and clean all around. Plate comes with rice and salad and one lemon but you can always request more lemons. Definitely will be back !

Miche guama

I ordered the miche guama and it didn't disappoint. The shrimp and cucumbers were fresh, and the chamoy was delicious. We had the queso findido, which was prepared with chorizo and mushrooms, and the cheese pill didn't disappoint. The filete a mojo de ajo was smothered in a delicious garlic sauce. The fish was so tender, and the rice was cooked to perfection. The food came out really fast. Service was decent. We were not checked on after we ordered and she forgot one of our drinks.

We wanted to eat some seafood and grab a drink glad this place hit the spot. They have a full bar we ordered some margaritas, Mexican candy shots, and beer the shots were not the best I'd stick with something simple. The music was good, I like the decorations, and the place seemed clean. As for the food id definitely go back for the ceviche im usually picky because I don't think some places use enough lime juice but this had just the right amount. I did prefer to eat the chips instead of the tostada that was given seemed like the tostadas were store bought or stale. We also had a fried shrimp plate the shrimp was a good size it came with a house made tarter sauce I would give 7/10. Overall good place I was surprised we were the only customers!

Not being a fan of seafood that dates someone that is you end up making some concessions, so I found this place on yelp with decent ratings and hoped it had more than just seafood. Of course she grew up in Seabrook, so I was worried about getting her seafood in San Antonio. Alas she insisted thus seafood it is. I will say this place is lively! Its not quiet and romantic , but rather loud and rowdy. So if your looking for a fun time it's a great fit! I found the place fun and it was for the most part ok. I wouldn't say I was overly impressed, but it was still a good time. I had the surf and turf fajitas with a margarita and she had the Enchiladas Verde with shrimp. All in all decent food in loud and fun atmosphere.

So the family and I had decided to stop by and see what the fuss was about and I got to say I'm kicking myself in the ass for not coming here sooner. I ordered a dish that had octopus and and snapper, and shrimp in it that had cheese and a good sauce on it and the prep on it was done very nicely nothing was over cooked and it all tasted great, and the portion was generous. But the reasons I'm not give it five stars are my own. I can tell you this I will be going back as I want to try something off that menu that isn't smothered in cheese hint hint, not that cheese is bad cheese is good I love cheese but I digress. I recommend you give this place a try, oh and the drinks are always cold with drink specials as well. Ps I'll get more pics next time.

Well, mark la perla off the list of places to try. Tried it, fish was fresh.... But meh. I ordered for delivery. The taco - it was a taco. Nothing special. Nothing to make a trip over there for. There's a taco shop on every street corner around here and at least half of them are probably better. Mixed seafood cocktail - seafood was fresh but the cocktail sauce was probably the sweetest I've ever had. Not a fan of sweets for a meal. Kids would love it as a "salsa" maybe The ceviche tostada - at least a half dozen fresh tostada shells packed separately and none in with the ceviche, which was nice. All the ceviche juice leaked out into the bag... Literally. All. Of. It!!! They put that mayo sauce on it though after eating around it I dumped the juice from the bag into the container, nope that ain't it. Cut up a whole jalapeño and put it in there, and squeezed a whole lime and some lemon into it... barley edible, but I was starving. Had to stop because it was making me feel like I was gonna puke. Mayo does that to me. Would I ever order from there again? Most likely not for delivery, maybe in person if someone invited me along though and I'd be sure to tell them "NO F###### MAYO!" and I'd for sure order something else.

4 shots for 20 Dollars Mango tequila and fireball.

OMG the queso fundido was the best I have had in a long time. They had a drink special of 4 shots for 20 dollars I had the Mango shot and chilled fireball it was so good. We had to get a to go box cause we also had ceviche pescado a large it was awesome even the price was good. I have been here before so I guess they eighter sold it or changed hands because it was so much better I will come her again can't wait

Delicious Latin American seafood! We had a friend recommend this place and we are SO glad she did! We've loved everything that we've tried so far. This is also a place that we take our out of towners to for their large portions and their unique options. Now onto the food: Highly recommend any of their molcajetes! I've tried all three, but my favorite has to be the molcajete de chamuco for their chunks of melted cheese. Beware this one ONLY comes with different varieties of shrimps. The molcajete levanta muertos would be my second pick. This one is a bit spicy and has a combination of different types of sea foods. The shrimp empanadas were a different take on your average breaded ones that you'd typically find in restaurants. This one has a flaky, crispy crust with loads of cheese and chunks of shrimp inside. The sauce that accompanied the empanadas was also mayo based instead of chimichurri. If you had to choose two dishes to taste, I'd highly recommend the ceviche verde de pescado! It's incredibly refreshing and so good. My mouth is watering just thinking about it! I'll definitely be coming back!

Typical seafood restaurant with a variety of dishes. The dishes are flavorful and the portions are big. The wait staff is friendly and efficient. This was our second time going to this restaurant. The first time they gave us some little extras like soup shooters, but I'm not sure if they don't do that anymore. While waiting for your food, you can snack on their complimentary tostadas and sauce. They bring out two sauces, the green was hotter than the red one. They also have a rack of any bottled sauce available at HEB. We ordered the empanadas as an appetizer without realizing they were going to be pretty big. They were fresh out of the fryer, but you could tell they weren't the frozen type. For the main dishes, we shared tacos and the filet relleno. Our favorite taco was the capeado de Camaron. I think what made the taco was the slaw with cotija. We also ordered beer and an alcoholic mangonada. The mangonada was ok. Probably too sweet for me, but I should have expected it. We went on a Friday night and I am not sure if this is customary, but a child came In selling fruit cups table to table to raise money for his dad. Then a while later a man came in and sang for tips. Once the singer came in, it became noisy, but we were still able to carry a conversation. If you don't mind those little extras during dinner, then it won't be a problem.

Tacos and Marisco molcajete

This was the best Mexican food I had here in San Antonio. I am from California so tex-mex isn't much my thing. I got two different tacos and they were both amazing. One had shrimp and the other had grilled fish. I would recommend anyone in this area of San Antonio to try it. Service and food is great.

Absolutely delicious!…read more I've been to EDA once before and have been craving their empanadas ever since! Much like last time, there seemed to be only one person running the shop, the place was sparkling clean (including the restrooms), and there was ample seating in the dining area. The music was a little too loud, especially so in the bathroom, but otherwise the café was so nice. The menu is chock-full of delicious sounding dishes and boba drinks, but I opted for two of their ready to go empanadas. I had the Beef & Cheese, and the Chicken Salteña Empanadas. Both were super yummy and neither the beef nor chicken was dry inside. The fillings were savory, the Beef & Cheese amazingly creamy, and the Chicken Salteña a good blend of spices. The raisins in the Salteña did throw me off for a moment as I didn't think they worked all too well with the rest of the texture of the filling, but it didn't detract too much from the empanada. The dipping sauce that they came with was so tasty and flavorful as well! I was only able to finish half of each empanada because they were so big, but the server was kind enough to give me extra sauce with my to-go box. It added another layer of tastiness to the experience! EDA is a little out of the way for me so I'm not able to go as much as I'd like, but I know I'll be stopping in to snag an empanada or a boba tea when I'm in the area. I highly recommend giving this restaurant a try!

Come try the Cuban and then tell me what you think. Pro tip: ask for a side of their habanero sauce and dash that on your Cuban or one of the arepas and thank me later. The folks here are friendly and have a chill, welcoming pep in their step. They were around enough to make us feel valued but away enough to allow us to enjoy our meal and conversation. The space is bright and airy with lots of windows for a very Miami-meets-South-Texas vibe. No notes. You order at the counter, take a number, and they bring out the food to you. I Ordered the Brazilian steak & guava and goat cheese cheesesteak. The steak was cooked perfectly medium rare. It had a little chewy fat caps on the end, but not a big deal. I really liked their yucca fries and the salad that it came with. Both were very flavorful. The cheesecake was different. It had a mild goat cheese flavor. The cheesecake itself was nice and fluffy. Overall, would definitely recommend this place for a casual lunch or dinner.

I saw this restaurant across the street while stopped at a red light on the way home from my doctor…read moreappointment. It is the #2 location on Culebra Road. My son and I both like Colombian food based on visits to a competitor that we have gone to many times closer to our house. When I mentioned this place to him, he said we should try it out soon. Today was the day. The first thing I noticed was the size of the dining room. It was roomy with several tables that were appropriately spread out. The decor is attractive with eye catching art painted on the white walls. The tables all have a splash of color on them, as well. Altogether is creates a bright and cheery atmosphere. We were very comfortable. I also noticed that the one television on the far wall was showing Univision and the music being played was in Spanish. I really like the music of a restaurant to reflect the nationality of the cuisine. Our server was an extremely helpful young man. He helped us with the menu. Unlike what is stated in other reviews, the food is described in english. Unfortunately, there are some items that don't translate. Those are the ones I needed help with. We both ended up ordering the same thing. It was lengua in a delicious tomato sauce served with french fries, avocado slices, white rice, salad, and a fried plantain patty. The amount of food on the plates was absolutely outrageous, but we managed to get pretty danged close to clean plates. The flavors were really nice. There was a huge squeeze bottle of Salsa Colombiana (I think that's what he called it) and another with Salsa tartara, the Columbian version of tartar sauce. It was amazing. It was creamy and savory without that sweet pickle taste American folk put on seafood. For drinks, I had a jugo de pina. My son had one made with passion fruit. I heard them being made fresh in the kitchen. They blended the fresh fruit with some water or milk and ice. Mine was really refreshing. It was served in those giant iced tea glasses some places use. There was a lady and her son at another table. I listened as they ordered in Spanish. They asked almost the same questions as we did, so being fluent in Spanish must not mean you would understand the Colombia specific food vocabulary. As we were paying our bill, the lady was pointing to everything on her plate asking "What is this?" in Spanish. I found that a little humorous, as the explanations when ordering were pretty good. My son and I had not problems recognizing the foods on our plate based on what we had heard. On our way home, we passed by the Bandera location. My son pointed it out to me. I don't remember ever seeing it there, but my son says he knew about it. That made me wonder why we frequented the competitor on Tezel where we like the food, but felt uncomfortable being packed in so close in the tiny dining room. In the truck, my son was already telling me what he planned to eat next time. There will definitely be a next time. I need to try their arepas and empanadas, as well as some other jugos.
