Saucy, creamy and crispy fish and shrimp tacos. Homemade corn tortillas. Carrot Slaws, cucumbers , avocado slices and corn make it fresh. Small unbothered spot to eat comfort seafood . Tasty refillable tea. I took a cup to go. Perfect for the heat. Three types of rice and two types of beans on the menu. Menu is in English and Spanish. The service was great. They start off with tostadas and crackers and two types of salsa. while you peruse the menu. She provided to go boxes and to go cups of tea. You pay at the register and there is a refrigerated section with drinks and desserts. If you want to take flan , rice pudding, tres Leche or a cheesecake home with you plus there's Mexican candy options at the register, candied, pumpkin, caramels, coconut seeds and nut bars.

A new favorite. Nice, bright and clean restaurant and all of the staff are super welcoming, fast and efficient. Within minutes of sitting, we had a basket of tostadas, salsa and drinks. We have fast food and generous portions. The ceviche is a fast summer favorite and the bacon wrapped shrimp with rice and vegetables was fantastic. Highly recommend you try this family owned business.

Can not say anything but amazing things for this perfect little spot! Customer service is amazing! Food is fresh! Reasonable! Tasty and always hits the spot. Love love love that they give you a little hot cup of the broth of the Caldo de Maricos. The tostadas they serve and the 2 different types of salsas/ cremas - TO DIE FOR!! Never thought I'd find seafood so fresh here in San Antonio. They have a huge menu from ceviches to tacos to seafood pastas and homemade desserts and caldos. Take a break and stop by!!

First time visiting here. Decided to try since it has such high marks. You sit at any open table which is fine except it isn't displayed anywhere, had to ask someone. Place is small and even at 4pm it was crowded. Staff was friendly. Chips and salsas were good but nothing fantastic. I did like the crackers though. Tacos were decent and so were the chicken flautas. It did have a lot of filling but the chicken breast could have used some seasoning. It was suppose to come with avocado but lady never came back and I didn't see her after to ask. Limonada was good. Not overly sweet so if you want it super sweet then this is not it. Overall not sure why it's got such high marks but if you're hungry not bad. Maybe the options picked were not the best. Who knows.

It was 1pm before I figured out what I wanted to have for lunch - oysters and fish tacos. Yelp recommended this spot so off I went. The parking is small and I accidentally drove past the restaurant. If you're coming down culebra, it's shortly after you pass by he Gold's Gym. Golds is on the left and the restaurant is on the right. There are some tables with benches and a playground outside. I ordered oysters to eat there and then placed a to go order of the large ceviche and fish taco plate. Husband asked for a chicken quesadilla but they only have seafood, so I ordered two shrimp quesadillas. Turns out they were out of oysters so I threw an audible and asked for the ceviche to eat there while I waited on my to go order. While I'm super sad I didn't get to address my oyster craving, the ceviche was great! I asked for shrimp ceviche, but I think she heard mixed. Nonetheless, it was delicious and tasted super fresh! I had to stop myself from eating it all lol. The large cucumbers with tajin were a nice touch too. Fish taco plate - so I love fish tacos. This was OK. Fish could stand to have some salt or other seasonings. And I was kinda thinking plate meant that there would be more than just the tacos. Shrimp quesadilla - when I brought this home, it was wrapped like it was a burrito. So that threw me off. But the flavors were good. Husband enjoyed them. When boxing up my leftover ceviche to go, I kept eyeballing the dessert. So I picked up a super moist looking slice of tres leches. So good! In addition to some of the above issues, I knocked off a star because I asked for water to drink and never received it. Maybe next time, I'll call ahead to see if they have oysters before making the trek there.

Out and about running errands, we happily stumbled upon this place. Local fam owned business, that was bustling with customers inside. We didn't have to wait too long, as we were greeted immediately and a table was cleaned. Their large menu covered the entire table, so no need for reading glasses lol Being our first time, we asked our server for suggestions. She recommended the caldos and pastas. Complimentary to table - a basket of a red and green salsa, ketchup, salt, crackers, and tostadas. Also, received 2 small pourable metal containers of a brown broth, which we found out later was fish soup. We watched other locals sip, so that's what we did. It was piping hot and rich in flavor. We ordered: Caldo seafood - a medium bowl of a rich seafood broth ( I could taste the shrimp in the broth), with an abundant amount of seafood. Sinaloa- a beautifully plated tower of ceviche seafood on a tostada, topped with sliced avocado, and next to two sliced cucumbers with tajin. Lots of flavor to both dishes and even though it may not looked like a lot of food, we were actually full afterwards. Prices are reasonable and service was prompt, fast, and friendly. I would def revisit : )

Last Sunday, Robyn of Ma's Ranch and Rescue had invited us to the Easter Bunny Bash at the Culebra Creek Park on the west side of town. I found @mariscosdelpuerto1 not too far from the park on Culebra and we headed there for lunch before the event. The place was very intimate and definitely full of customers. Dad and I had the Limonada Agua Frescas, and Hubby had Topo Chico. There was so much on the menu to choose from. We decided to try the Ceviche Pescado (fish), Caldo de Maricos (seafood), Mini Capitan, half dozen Ostiones (oysters), and 3/3/3 fish, shrimp and fried oysters with fries. So much fresh and good food. Paola was our server and she was very busy with the crowd. Glad we ordered medium-sized dishes as the portions were generous. If you're ever on the west side of town, check them out.

Love it here so much, we rarely visit since it's way off the way but whenever we get the chance, it's always a great experience. The food is always fresh-tasting and on-point. Service is fast and the wait-staff are always on their toes, they always make sure they do their best speaking in English to non-Spanish speaking customers like us. There's this particular young lady server that's awesomely great with customer service, not sure what's her name is but she's consistently very pleasant and warm. Love that they have new menu cards on top of the printed menu on the table plus you could still browse their menu by scanning a QR code. The place like ok much more well-kept than before and their sanitary rating proves it all. They also have the parking space paved and it looks safer outside. Though they still need to fix their seats it still pretty much clean and cozy.

Service was great and the reason I love going to a small locally run spot...flautas weren't great but it is a seafood spot so I didn't expect too much they were dry chewy and flavorless...BUT don't get hung up on that The 7 Mares Caldo WHAAaaa sooooo good!! It is jam packed with goods, octopus/clams/mussels/fish/shrimp/crawfish/clams/crablegs and veggies but mostly the good stuff...broth was savory not salty! Fried fish satisfied the picky hangry teen and in my eyes oof! That's a win...ceviche was gone in a minute and fully of flavor and the mixto tostada was really awesome as well...overall the place is a winner, I'd say go for the seafood and tacos skip the flautas rice and refried beans plate cuz it's a generous portion but not the best thing on the menu and the seafood is epic!

    The El Azteca taco!

There are not enough words to describe this gem. We've come for years, but I waited till I tried most of the menu. Heck the menu is literally on the table when you walk in. Everything has been good to amazing. This trip, we had some items that I wanted to try, and the fam had others. We came after church. Let me start by not understanding why this place isn't packed or have a wait. The level of execution on their plates is that of a high end restaurant. It blows any Mexican seafood, and traditional seafood restaurants away. They bring you tostadas and crackers with two amazing cream sauces. The kids love them! We had the Azteca and Chilacon tacos to start along with the de la casa burrito. They brought us homemade corn tortillas with our tacos. Didn't ask us, and they were perfect! I don't remember ever having a flour tortilla or if they even serve them. I will say it again, a well made corn tortilla will taste better than a flour one any day! The chilacon was one of the best tacos I've had in town. The azteca was no slouch either. They were both beautifully plated as well! The burrito was also great! My son the rice freak, had to have the arroz salseado. We all try each others food and it was as tasty as it looked! The parents(us) had pasta de camarones, and Sopa de Mariscos! Both were fantastic. The pasta belongs in a gourmet restaurant. I can go on and on about this place, then it wouldn't be a review but a novel. No place is perfect. There are a few negatives. The burrito has a strange Mediterranean taste to it. We couldn't figure it out. It seemed out of place, and can see some not liking the flavor profile, but we loved it! Also, the service(waitresses) isn't always that great and inconsistent. They tend to get in the weeds quickly which is a little confusing since we have never been in there when it was packed. The prices are great! Bravo to the real star of the place, the cook(s) who are back there obviously care about the food! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

The restaurant itself is small and you seat yourself. The food here is fresh and full of flavor. Service was great! They didn't have alcohol listed on their menu, but they do offer it. Ordered the tostada sinaloa and quite delicious! A mix of octopus, shrimp , and fish. The chicken flautas were also good, and not greasy! Their rice and beans reminded me of how my mother makes them. So tasty! They did provide extra sauce in small containers, but they weren't as spicy as I anticipated. The green salsa was the spiciest, which we loved! Will definitely be coming back!

They serve different varieties of beer, but not on tap. Bottles and possibly cans

Is it possible to call in an order to takeout?

I see people picking up to go orders all the time there.

Service is fast, place is decently clean for the foot traffic, the servers all look happy and eager to work. I ordered tortilla soup, I usually like it with a cup of rice and avocado like most places serve it. However, I definitely think this is a safe Mexican food restaurant when it comes to not overdoing it with spices and the extra stuff. My soup had a decent amount of chicken. I had a mimosa, loved that they used fresh orange juice. Flour tortillas were delicious! Before heading out you need to have the sweet bread!! So goooodd!

People say when in San Antonio, do like the San Antonian's. Nobody really says that. I mean, I just…read moredid, but I also just made it up. With that being said, let's make up a review. Except I'm not actually making the review up, I've been to the place. Both San Antonio and the restaurant moments away from being reviewed. I'm always down for solid Mexican food. It's always pretty damn good. I mean, at the pure base of things, it's basically the same few ingredients, just different vessels to get it to your mouth. I'm never bad about that. I love transportation. Mi Tierra was a pretty great looking place. Plenty of space, a nice outside waiting area, plus a bakery. I have never been to a place with a bakery that I didn't like. It seemed like a very authentic place, and that's coming from a resident of Michigan. A resident that eats Taco Bell. A resident who eats Taco Bell and think's THAT'S authentic Mexican. The first thing I noticed was that this place did not seem to serve burritos. Not a marker really for me, but it was something I've never came across before. I also thought that you were stuck ordering enchiladas or tacos in a meal type of setting. Upon further questioning, you can order a la cart. That was a relief. I ended up ordering the enchiladas Verdes because sometimes I ignore my color palate and go for green. And because I can't just stop eating one form of meat, cheese, and sauce, I ordered a taco. Actually, I just ordered a taco because I wanted a dryer enchilada. Or did I order the enchiladas because I wanted a wetter taco...I don't know anymore. Anywho, I ground beef, American style taco. Now, I've always been a big fan of chips and salsa. Some salsa hits, some miss. Some salsa is pureed and is basically red water. Some salsa is just a full tomato. I like my salsa like I like my orange juice. With extra calcium. Wait. Mild pulp. That's it. This salsa pretty much hit those notes. Had good flavor and a little spice left to linger. The main course came out and everything looked delicious. Green enchiladas looked exactly like I expected. However, it took me a moment to realize I was not looking at a burrito...but instead, my taco. It was served a peculiar way. wrapped, seam down, with a little bit of the meat on top, pico and lettuce on the outside, next to it. It was a burrito peacocking as a taco. I've never seem this display before, and I have been to many Taco Bell and non-Taco Bell restaurants. The taste was pretty good, though. All the taco flavor in a burrito jacket. The enchiladas were pretty decent, too. Everything tasted like it had all the ingredients and that they were in all the right spots. No doubt about it, I was full after e

It was delicious! The concha was soft, buttery and flaky, with just the right sweetness. We took home the majority of it and it stayed nice and soft instead of turning hard like so many others. We decided to try several appetizers to go along with our concha to get a wider taste of their food than we would by just ordering a couple entrees. Let me tell you, this was a great idea! We ordered the Tosti-Ceviche Verde, Panela Asado, Mexican Street Corn, and their Spicy Bean Dip. The Ceviche Verde was excellent, the freshness of the fish and shrimp was wonderful with the chipotle mayo and avocado. We chose to have it on the salsa Verde Tostitos and it was all great combination. The Panelo Asado was a completely new dish for us and was extremely good with a savory flavor from the salsa Tlaquepaque that mixed well with the Panela cheese. Their tortillas though not made in house, are made for them and taste like mom made them. The Mexican Street Corn was great and had the perfect bit of char taste from the corn. It was creamy and flavorful, we did think it could use just a tad more lime juice though. The Spicy Bean Dip was very good. You can't go wrong with Oaxaca, Chorizo, and pieces of pork mixed with some mildly spicy beans. Our server was fantastic. She had great recommendations for us, and was quick with checking on our drinks and generally helping us throughout our dinner. The food was prepared quickly, was hot, tasteful and refreshing. We definitely will be going back, and recommend Pan Fila to all of you.
