Maple Waffles has a nice homemade feel to it; maybe because you can see all of the food being made only a couple of feet away from you. This place is very small. I've been in bathrooms that have had more space than this restaurant. It's not a problem however, but it's something worth mentioning if you are bringing a bigger party. They do offer outdoor seating to help combat this, but seating is still very limited. They had some nice decor on the walls and by the register. There is also a very small play area in the corner for children. As a side note, I very much enjoyed the music that was playing there. The menu is posted up on the wall behind the register, but they also have printed menus available at the counter. I do think that it's a bit on the pricier side for some simple breakfast food. Ordering was easy and the man and woman working were polite. Our food was ready in about 10 minutes. I ordered the bacon egg and cheese waffles, as did my mother. The waffles were thick and crisp but still fluffy. The eggs and bacon were cooked nicely and the butter, syrup, and sauce that came with the plate complimented it well. I did think that a bag of original Lays potato chips with a breakfast plate was a bit odd. The food was passable, but I couldn't justify the price. They did not have any free water available, just bottled water or their $4+ beverages (excluding their coffee or tea) I ended up buying a juice and my mother did not get a beverage because they were too pricey. In all, about $30 was spent for a breakfast for two. Which may not be a lot for some, but when you can get more food for less money with refills included at say IHop or Denny's, it's rather discouraging to want to eat at Maple Waffles again. I'd recommend eating here if you don't mind spending a bit more money to support a small business.

If heaven served breakfast, it would taste like this place's waffles. Perfectly golden with that crisp bite on the outside and a soft, fluffy inside that just melts in your mouth. Every bite feels like a warm hug from a Belgian grandma who knows you've had a hard week. The toppings? Not your basic drizzle of syrup, think fresh fruit piled high, rich whipped cream, and creative combos that make you question every sad frozen waffle you've ever eaten! The vibe is cozy and welcoming, they even have card games to keep you entertained while you wait for your food! Great service! 10/10 will be back

I've been craving peanut butter French toast and I've found my new spot. Absolutely divine, will definitely be back and highly recommend this hidden gem.

This place is super small, I mean like REALLY small, but the food is decent. The workers were really nice. The food is made fresh so there was a small wait of about 10-ish minutes. It took us about 35 minutes to get here so I don't know that it was worth the drive BUT if you're already in the area then it wouldn't be bad to try.

We walked in and were greeted with incredibly friendly service, we got to look over our menus with no pressure or rush while we were mind blown by the options Maple Waffle offers, and once we we decided it was a short wait between us and heaven. These waffles are fluffy, huge and taking a bite of our fresh strawberries and cream & custom waffle (peanut butter, cream cheese and banana) made my husband and I not want to eat any other waffle again. The amount of love this food was made with brought us back to our childhood. Very affordable and we enjoyed seeing the board and card games available to play.

Order of waffle, French toast and sides of eggs and bacon.

My girlfriend and I came here for brunch a couple of days ago and we were very impressed. I have to say the location is in a awkward intersection but definitely worth it. The woman running the place was super friendly and made everything from scratch. We had French toast, waffles, eggs, and bacon--all cooked perfectly. I also had a strawberry and Oreo milkshake with real chunks and that was amazing as well. Highly recommend--we'll definitely be back.

Tried maple waffle this morning and let me tell you we will be returning for more visits! The female at register was very helpful and kind. I ordered a crepe with side of eggs. They really stuffed the crepes not greedy at all with their portions. My gf had the waffles and the cook put cream cheese in each spot on the waffle. Waffles are delicious. We got iced lattes that were amazing!

Supper delicious waffles! Ordered the apple cinnamon waffle & a strawberry banana waffle - both were perfectly crisp and fruit was super fresh. The dining area is a tad small but super clean. Would highly recommend!!

Very cute hole-in-the-wall hidden treasure. Family run, obviously. It's very niche, but if you want waffles, it SHOULD BE a mainstay! Glad it isn't more popular than it is because it's a tiny place. Three tables, maybe six chairs, and half the room is taken up behind the counter, but I can't complain! I visited in the HEAT of the summer, and I had been worried from the looks of the building that it was going to be hot inside, but it was not bad actually. One of the tables is positioned perfectly near a fan. The toppings are fresh as can be and waffles made from scratch. They have a good selection of toppings for whatever cravings you may have. They have a couple games bolted to the walls, very creative idea, tic-tac-toe and checkers to play while you wait. The woman at the counter even brought us out a deck of cards to amuse ourselves with while they prepared the waffles. I love this place and can't wait until my next pass down Zarzamora to visit.

I stopped by maple waffles with my MIL and boyfriend last Saturday after dropping off our dog to get fixed. It's in a strip off the Main street so keep an eye out for it because you might miss it. We walked in and it's a super small and cute little place. The guy taking our order gave us all menus to cheek out their food. They have mostly sweet crepes, waffles, and pancakes but there are maybe one or two savory options with eggs and bacon. :) I got the strawberry banana pancakes and my MIL got the French toast while my bf got the waffle with eggs, bacon and chips. They stated the coffee was really good, and I got a smoothie. It tasted homemade but still very good! The workers were also nice and the food presentation was cute as well! Can't wait to go back when I'm on that side of town! :)

Maple waffles the name alone catches your attention so I heard about this place from a few people and a few social media platforms but when I saw it come across my yelp page I knew it was a sign so I made my way over there and I will be completely bluntly honest I will always make it over there when I get a chance because it is a great place The customer service was so kind. They were caring they were considerate. They explained all the meals the items they had to offer. They even gave samples of pastry waffle cookie thing I don't even know what it was, but it was delicious just as much as the ham and cheese waffle sandwich I got a lot of people when I've read reviews complain about it being small and simple. I'll be honest with you. I'm not there to figure out how to get a regular cedar feel like I'm sitting on the couch. I'm there for the food and if you want great food, great waffles great customer service great prices, a big variety and the fact that you can actually have waffles anytime This is the place I love it. I love it. I love it. I will definitely without a shadow of a doubt the reason I'll go back the ambience was amazing. I felt like they were waiting for me just to arrive just to give me an experience that I would never forget and for that reason. Thank you Maple waffles company for making me not only enjoy my opportunity. Enjoy my food. Enjoy the samples, but enjoy knowing that I'm gonna go back and have more. Now, my fellow Yelp family I highly challenge you to go check it out give it a chance because I'm gonna tell you this is without a doubt a place you don't want to pass you by check it out. Tell me what you think. Send me some pictures. Post some pictures. Write a review. Comment on mine and tell me what your experience is because mine was outstanding. Maybe I'll see you there.

It was popping when we got there, so we had about a 25 minute wait. It took them a little while to take our order, but once they did, the food was made and delivered in a timely manner. I, of course, got the cinnamon roll pancakes short stack, and they were absolutely divine. No need for butter or syrup, they were perfectly delicious as is, cinnamon swirl included?!? and icing glaze as well. Another favorite was the chile relleno omelette - the poblano pepper on top added some smokiness along with the steak, and the sour cream and cheese cooled it down. Bacon and canadian bacon on point. A solid breakfast spot! Don't miss out on the cinnamon roll pancakes! *Cinnamon Roll pancakes, short stack *Cowboy Breakfast: eggs, biscuits with country gravy, bacon *Chile Relleno Omelette: fajita steak, green peppers, onions, tomatoes, & cheese, topped with ranchero sauce, sour cream, green onion, feta cheese *Pancakes & Eggs: 2 cinnamon roll pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage *Sides: grilled ham, bacon, hash browns

We were greeted by the manager with open arms who could not have been more welcoming . ( I felt as if my departed mom was pulling us in to her kitchen to sit and eat her food with every visit). We felt the appreciation of you choosing to dine there. The smell of cleanliness when you walk in made it all the more comfortable being there . We were there at about 11:00am and couldn't decide on lunch or brunch . Brunch looked too good to pass up , so we placed our order( you order at the register before sitting down) . I opted for the avocado toast on wheat with an over medium egg . They seasoned it with a seasoning which included Parmesan cheese . I might add it was paired together perfectly. My husband ordered the French toast which did not disappoint in flavor ( of course I had to try his) . It was so good . It almost tasted as if it had an all spice flavor to it . It was so good and reminded me of fall season which was nice to think of considering this July heat and humidity we've been getting. My 8 year old settled for the buttermilk pancakes which were also nice and filling for him . I had reservations as I recently made him buttermilk pancakes which he didn't like.So the fact that he cleaned his plate of buttermilk pancakes at Labor Cafe speaks volumes lol. I did notice when we were ordering, some sub sandwiches and other delightful food in the glass case for you to pick from . I noticed quite a few to go orders being picked up during our visit, also speaks volumes for this tiny cafe . The coffee is self serve , as an avid coffee drinker this cafe had me at hello when I saw that . So on a scale of 0-10 chefs kisses , I give it a solid x10 ! Compliments to the chef and staff for being so kind and serving up what I call delicious food in this dining establishment.

My wife and I were in San Antonio overnight and stopped here for breakfast in the morning. We both ordered the Tejas Scramble, a wonderful combination of freshly scrambled eggs, cheese, onion, avocado, tomatoes, etc., with an excellent salsa rojo to top it off. Crispy hashbrowns and a half a biscuit rounded it all out nicely. The coffee is solid and so is the service--counter service to order, but your food is brought to your table. It all tasted fresh and freshly made. This honestly one of those places that makes me mad my doctor told me to cut down on carbs because the pancakes looked straight up terrific. But I wasn't at all disappointed with what I got, and the folks who run the Labor Street Cafe are nice as can be. It's also in a cool little part of San Antonio, so there's plenty reason to visit.
