Great food, not that good service. The server never checked on us, we asked her to find out info for us and she never did! We had to ask her again and she said "sorry I'm hungry so my head is out of focus" she also never came to refill my water or anything! The food however is soo good! Wow!! So much have changed from my after finals at UCLA trip to Wilson's Creek from 10 yrs ago or maybe more. I miss the sourdough baked brie days with a bottle of almond champagne in front of the old wine tasting room. Nowadays, this winery has a restaurant called Creekside Grille that offers an amazing brunch. Our service from Chelsea was amazing. She even taught my hunny how to navigate the Pokémon Go game (yeup! not my thang, but my hunny likes it). Chelsea was very sweet and her service was impeccable. The atmosphere is pure SoCal (so are the prices for that matter). Must have been an off day. Must have been a bad bottle of Chardonnay. The $20 gnocchi lunch was terrible. The cook was too heavy handed on the spices and the flavors were competing with each other, not complimenting the dish. There were only 7 pieces of gnocchi, a few small leafs of chard, 4 pea pods and some shaved cheese on top that clashed with the other ingredients. The service was really slow coming out of the kitchen and the burger was warm, barely hot and the lettuce was wilted while it probably sat under a warming lamp for a half hour to be served. Sorry, but for a $66 lunch for two, and I do not drink alcohol, I doubt if we will be back again soon. My husband had a glass of champagne and a mimosa, so that brought it up a bit, but seemed very pricey today. I changed it from 2 to 1 star. read more

While visiting the Creekside Winery we decided to stop at the grille first. We ordered two soups to start with, a Fried Croque Madame and a Gerry's Reuben with chips. Everything was delicious. Terry asked us if we were celebrating anything special and we mentioned our anniversary so at the end of our lunch she brought us a complimentary lava cake and 2 glasses to toast which was so sweet! We decided to come here after tasting some wine at another winery nearby. Time to carb up! It was not busy on a Monday the week of Thanksgiving. We were able to be seated right away without making reservations for us two. The waiter was nice initially. I ordered the Reuben Pastrami sandwich. My wife ordered the pork belly sandwich. I thought my sandwich was five stars. My wife didn't like hers much. I cleaned out my plate while my wife only ate half of hers. She stated she didn't like the mustard they used. We have recommended this restaurant numerous times as we have frequented it for lunch and dinner and in the past for their brunch (buffet). It is our fault for not doing our due diligence and seeing what their current offerings were for brunch when we made our plans but as it turns out they no longer have their amazing buffet and only have a (very) limited menu. I would like to be clear that the three stars are for our server Nick who really deserves FIVE stars but the food must be accounted for somehow. If it weren't for him this would be a flat zero (if they would allow it). We ordered their Bloody Mary, which perhaps is our bad thinking a winery could pull that off.... They can't. We switched to mimosas which were good. We ordered the cheese board to start and OMG this was a train wreck. The fruit was rotten (pic below) and the "duck prosciutto" was more of a sliced smoke duck breast. The honeycomb was MIA and the rest was just blah. My husband ordered the pork chop with "country gravy" and I ordered the eggs and potatoes, mostly because there was nothing else on the menu for me to order as I don't eat meat. We noticed that their menu states eggs are "over medium or scrambled" and only that. I asked our server about this because I like a runny yolk (over easy) but I also like my whites done. It doesn't take a genius in the kitchen to cook an egg this way. I explained to Nick that I wanted my eggs to have a runny yolk but my whites done and he said it shouldn't be a problem. Well, apparently it was written on the menu for a reason.... My eggs were runny, whites included. I couldn't exactly complain when I asked for it, I guess. My husband's pork chop had a gravy on it but if that was country gravy I don't know what country they are referring to. Overall the meal was a swing and a miss, thankfully any time I spend with my husband is perfect which made up for the meal that was so much less than. It's disappointing because at one time this place was amazing. Nick was great, the saving grace of the meal. The food however..... not so much. read more

We love the Grille. They have delicious food and the gourmet sandwiches are reasonably priced considering you're at a popular winery. The Grille is situated between the vines and the main lawn so it's a tranquil and attractive dining location. Great for people watching without being in the middle of the fray. It's fully covered but has no walls so it's a sort of an indoor/outdoor experience. In the hot summer you won't get overheated, plus they have misters. And on cooler days you're protected. I've been here at least a dozen times. Always make a point to bring guests visiting from out of town. Not one has ever been disappointed. Delicious sangrias! read more

I was beyond happy with the service at this restaurant. I have celiac disease so eating out always comes with a bit of nervous anxiety. When I asked for the gluten free menu the staff went above and beyond to ensure my safety!! I usually get the "you and everyone else is gluten free" attitude at other restaurants. Popped over to Creekside Grille for lunch after a wine tasting. The weather was gorgeous, so sitting out on the patio was really enjoyable! Unfortunately, my lunch was not...I got the ahi banh mi (tuna, avocado, baguette, and thinly-sliced carrot on top) and the baguette was hard as a rock. Couldn't even bite into it. I ate some of the tuna out of it, and it had no flavor whatsoever. Fortunately, the side salad was good, so I mostly filled up on that. So unfortunate though, and for $16 at that. We've come here for the Sunday Brunch on many occasions with several close friends. We are always greeted promptly and seated in usually the outdoor area. I've been to Creekside several times. Today was probably my last visit. We were seated and waited... and waited for some attention. Finally asked someone to get our server. We ordered wine appetizer and salads. Wine was very nice. Artichoke appetizer was bland, gray and boring. Caesar salads were tasteless.The server never checked back with us until he brought the check which was $75.00. Definitely moving in to some other winery restaurants.:( read more
