Strawberry Margarita Sorbet, Cookies n Cream, and a brown sugar cookie

Sunny Spring Friday evening stopping in for an ice cream date with my son, friendly staff, great flavors and moist cookies. 10/10 we will be back!

It was Pie day, they have ice cream and pie special. This is local and woman own ice cream shop. I really like creamy strawberry, it is creamy and has strawberry chuck in the ice cream. The pecan pie also was good, but I still like creamy strawberry better. I also got mini honey pie. I am not big pie person but it does look good. The woman, assuming she is owner was friendly. It is a cute little shop. It is street parking, can be tough depending on the time.

I believe the owner, unsure on her name, warmly welcomed our group of 6 - which we almost filled the space. There was lovey seating outside and cornhole! We were able to taste test many different flavors though it was hard to choose between so many different delicious options. Thank you for the experience! We will be back!

Enjoying some vanilla ice cream outside of the Creamy Cone Cafe!

After a walk in the fairly nearby Kubota Park a few weekends ago I had the want of something cold and sweet. I saw Creamy Cone Cafe and it looked exactly what I was wanting. This little ice cream shop is pretty small but I saw seating outside and claimed a table. Looks like after viewing pictures of the shop menu it appears that they rotate their flavors because some of what I saw and some flavors of what they had weren't the same. I went with a less unusual flavor and went with a scoop in a cup of vanilla flavored ice cream which proved to be very refreshing and tasty! Exactly what I was looking for! Definitely a worthy ice cream shop to keep in mind whenever in the neighborhood and looking for a nice, cold sweet treat on a hot summer day. But for me it doesn't have to be hot for me to enjoy ice cream!

Creamy Cone has wide variety of flavors on rotation - it was difficult to choose which to order, but I settled on the raspberry lemon cheesecake swirl, which was creamy and had a great flavor balance, with a generous helping of cheesecake bites throughout. Getting my ice cream took a bit only because they allow one party in the store at a time. Once I was in the store, the staff helped me quickly, and I was out in less than four minutes. I'd definitely return to try additional flavors. They also have a menu filled with other creamy sweet treats as well as espresso. This is an awesome small business!

This place was great!! My wife was looking for more black owned businesses to support and we found a great ice cream shop. We even got the chance to meet the owner Ashanti. She was such a pleasure to meet and gave excellent customer service. If you're looking for a great black-owned ice cream cafe, this is your place!!

I really love to support local and minority owned businesses and my childhood home is literally 3 blocks away where I lived for over 23 years so I am very familiar with this area and was eager to support them. This strip of businesses have been many things over the years and it is good to see a new business open here. I came for a Yelp experience and I brought my son with me since he loves ice cream (who doesn't?) We bought a mini size cup for my son and he chose the Honeycomb flavor. He said that there should be more honeycombs in the ice cream as there were too little for his taste. When we first came in the door, the worker was somewhere out of sight so we had to announce that we were there. There was dead silence in the place with no background music or general ambiance. The woman who served us (no name given) was lukewarm to us. I was my usual friendly and bubbly self and consider myself charismatic but this woman wasn't having any of it. She was not friendly but business like. I asked several questions about the business trying to strike up a friendly convo. I asked when did they begin business? (2021), do they make their own ice cream? (no), who makes it? (she said several local places but wouldn't name them), I asked if she was the owner or one of the daughters? (no). Each answer was monosyllabic and not friendly. It's like I interrupted her from some task and she just wanted to get rid of us. She also never offered us toppings for the ice cream as I now see others had from photos on the Yelp page. I didn't notice this until after we had paid for our treats. I really wanted to like this place but this employee didn't help the business out at all. Overall, the place is very colorful and nicely decorated inside and outside and the ice cream was great. Also, I am sure the owner or her daughters are a lot more welcoming than the employee who helped me today.

    Sidewalk seating (3/18/22)

Bright, fun neighborhood indie ice cream shop in South Seattle, Creamy Cone Cafe! I made the trek from Shoreline to Seattle's Rainier Beach neighborhood (3/18/22). It is located along a busy stretch of Rainier Avenue South but ample street parking was available. It is bright, fun, and inviting from approaching the sidewalk seating and celebrating throughout the interior decor. The friendly owner was very welcoming and clearly proud of her business! A variety of fresh flavors rotate and samples are encouraged. But me, I always gravitate to chocolate as a benchmark. I ended up having two mini scoops: chocolate peanut butter and chocolate brownie. Very creamy and flavorful. An indulgence, but as the saying goes, life's short, eat dessert first! Future trips to nearby Kubota Gardens, Seward Park, or any of the neighborhood parks along Lake Washington, definitely make it sweeter with treats from Creamy Cone Cafe. There's frozen treats that can be customized with toppings and other menu items available. Tasty ice cream that brightened my Friday afternoon!

Friendly service. Decent selection of ice cream. I tried the banana pudding, but the lemon cheesecake one sounded great too. I also grab a slice of sweet potato pie for $5. It's a classic. Tip: Ask for a sample of the ice cream, or the sweet potato pie or cupcake

I came in for the first time to drop something off in preparation of our Yelp Elite Experience next week (woohoo!) and couldn't leave empty handed! This cute cafe is located right in Rainier Beach and is black-owned by a mother, Ashanti, and her two daughters. Driving along the busy road, you can't miss the outdoor seating in bright colors which made me so happy just by the sight of it. You walk in and are greeted with decor, indoor seating, and small items for sale. My favorite part was seeing jewelry made by one of her daughters for sale as well as free coloring books drawn by teenagers in the community. Ashanti was so sweet and personable which really makes a difference. I got a scoop of Toffee Coffee, one of their rotating flavors, and it was delicious! I definitely want to come back and try their coffee and other flavors of icecream. I love supporting black-owned businessess and it being woman-owned and family-owned makes it a triple win in my books. Thank you, Ashanti and family, for making such an amazing impact in the community!

This place is so cute and colorful! It's pretty small, but so fun once you walk in. Everyone from a child to an adult can find something interesting in the store. The owner even has a bunch of Knick knacks for sale for all different types of people. The owner was so sweet and really helped us navigate our way through all the homemade flavors. Also, there are freshly baked goods for sale. The owner makes the sweet potato pie in house! I got the chocolate fudge brownie, and it was delicious! It is a bit pricey but it's all for a good cause! It's important to support small local businesses. So go try a pasty and some ice cream because you won't be disappointed!

I love that they have an assortment of flavors which includes some familiar faves, some unique flavors and some vegan options. . Today I got banana pudding and piña colada in a waffle cone. The cone had good flavor, and was thiner than most waffle cones, which was surprising at first, but I think I prefer this thiner version. Both ice creams were delicious. The banana pudding was creamier of the two and very tasty. The vegan piña colada had pineapple chunks and a consistency similar to sorbet. I was so excited to try the ice cream, I dive right in and forgot to take a photo... both scoops were a good portion size, which I appreciate. I wish I had the chance to try them all, because there were other flavors that looked and sounded just as yummy. Reason to return, I guess!

This place is the reason why I'm going on a 30 day sugar cleanse. I'm addicted to their delicious ice cream. I've been to many a ice cream shop and this place has the best flavors I've ever tasted. My favorite is butter pecan with banana pudding following a close second. Suer cute shop that is ran by an amazing woman who employs young women and teaches them the ropes of owning a business. I love that this shop is super convenient and right on rainier avenue south. I also love that they have a little tables and chairs outside so you can enjoy your ice cream while people watching. This place is an absolute gem in a great addition to the neighborhood. They have so many flavors and toppings and I love that they give children under the age of 12 one free topping. No one else does that! Make sure you stop by and visit this place and this woman/black owned business.

Cash Only - When you first come in, there are signs posted around the restaurant with the cash only sign. If you don't have any, Bank of America is only a few minutes away by walking. 2. Parking - Around the busy plaza, there's 2 free lots. One on the side (gets super packed since it's shared by multiple businesses) and there's a back lot (park with caution in the evening). 3. Limited Menu - This place specializes in a few Viet dishes. So don't be surprised if it doesn't have the typical pho / broken rice / banh mi options. Instead, specialty of this place is more on the egg and rice noodle soup, the sizzling beef platter or the beef stew. 4. Limited Take Out - Depending on how busy this place gets, most of the time, there will be no option to do take out/ to go orders. Best to dine in if you want to eat here. 5. Food - I tried all the food options here and top 2 favorites are the Bo Ne (sizzling steak plate) and the hu tieu mi ñam vang (dry version with a bowl of soup on the side). Both are solid and always so yummy and consistent. 6. Service - Hit or miss... if you really need something during the busy lunch hour, it's best to either wave your arms crazily in the air for attention or simply walk up to the register and tell the staff what you need. When settling the bill, just head to the register and let the cashier know what table you're sitting at. Overall, solid place to eat (with the hole in the wall kind of vibes) but just know there are some small quirks to it ahead of time so you won't be unpleasantly surprised.

Not a bad idea to call ahead of time, but no reservations needed or possible. We went on a Saturday night and my boyfriend spontaneously ordered some meat and veggie with injera...it was absolutely delicious! We weren't really sure what to expect, however, because they didn't have any menus. They did have a sick Eritrean music video lineup though. The lighting was reddish and the place had a nice ambiance with local Eritreans drinking beer in the back outside the restaurant. If you like a little adventure, you will not be disappointed by Momona (misspelled on Yelp). It's also the only Eritrean restaurant in Seattle, according to its staff.

The owner was quite happy to explain the dishes and was just a delight to chat with. She made the visit to Momona my favorite stop on the Plate of Nations list. My second visit was anything but impressive. Flies buzzing in numbers, they had to be fended off while dining, service had to be prompted numerous times to action to perform basic common tasks, couldn't answer any questions, serving dishes were dirty, the restaurant appeared to be very poorly kept both inside and out. The server didnt know how to ring me up: i was charged 2 additional times on my credit card & ultimately had to pay cash (now I have to come back to the restaurant to resolve their billing mistake). TRULY disappointed! I was hoping to make visits to Momona a regular periodic occurrence. Overall score: 2.5 / 5.0
