Stopped to get bingsu after dinner on Alki! The bingsu itself was okay and a bit on the pricier side ($14 for one) but split it between two people. Got the matcha one and maybe since it was towards the end of the day, the red beans were too mushy for my taste. Loved how close this place is to the water and the inside. I liked how they sold old time candy. It's a fun place to stop if you're in the area for a sweet treat.

This place is beyond tasty! Upon approaching the building there is a line out of the door, customers seem happy to be patronizing the shop. There are over ten unique flavors to chose from among a wide assortment of bubble teas and flavorful juices. There aren't many places to sit but a slight hop across the street will land you on a beach front facing the pugent sound. The customer service immediately greeted me and offered me samples of as many flavors I could stuff my face with. Overall, I highly recommend trying the ice cream! Next time, I ll try the bubble tea.

My partner and I decided to have a little dessert before we left Alki. The service was great, so was the location and ambiance of the shop! One thing we wanted to mention was that the teas/ice creams were more on the pricey-er side. Tea only will cost you about $8 and a double scoop of ice cream will also fall around that too. In total, for a cup of tea (no toppings,) and some ice cream it came out to 16 (no tax included.) We forgot to take picture of our food before we ate, so here's a during picture! :)

Why is 90% of the drink ice. Istg I finished it before I walked outside the restaurant.

Bingsu is so delicious. It's a light and fluffy shave ice, perfect for summer. Daughter begs to go back daily.

Seattle-Area Boba Shop Review #111…read more Tab Milktea is an interesting boba shop located in a shared commissary. The entrance is located on SW Snoqualmie St. The exterior door leads to a small vestibule, where a wall of wireless doorbells greets the customer, each for one of the businesses in the building. The owner of Tab is highly responsive, coming out within seconds of the bell, and is super friendly. All milk teas are made with Lactose-free milk! Yes! Classic Milk Tea, Small 24oz, 35% Sweet, Less Ice w/ Boba ($10.35) - Very interesting flavor with this milk tea, clearly with SE Asian influences. It's somewhat malty, but the strongest flavor by far is that of vanilla, with a tiny bit of almond-like nuttiness. Kind of like a variation of a strong Thai Tea, but less smoky. It's certainly not what I was expecting, but is very pleasant to sip on and is extremely fragrant. The body on this drink is phenomenal. It's so viscous and luscious, it coats the entire mouth with a creamy film. Less ice is perfect for this drink - since they use crushed ice, it doesn't take up too much room so they can maximize the amount of drink in the cup. At 35% sweet, which is what the owner recommended for people who don't like drinks too sweet (I usually order 50% at most shops), the drink is on the sweeter end on what's tolerable. My guess is the boba I added contributes a lot to sweetness, and the amount of extra fat in the drink enhances the transfer of sugar to the tongue. I'd probably go with 25% or less in the future. The boba is fine - I probably wouldn't get it in the future. The pearls are sweetened, but are a little on the tough side, too firm for my liking. $1 per topping is quite high as well and in my opinion for the quality is definitely not worth the price. Milk Tea Rating: 4.5/5 Boba Rating: 3.5/5 $10.35 before tax is by far the most I've every paid for boba. Is it worth the price? That's debatable. I'd say Tab Milktea does use high quality ingredients, has clean and interesting flavors, and has an owner who's a blast to be around. I understand their pricing is higher most likely lower volumes. It's a small business worth supporting, but isn't a place I'd go to regularly simply due to pricing. It's really difficult for me to justify a drink that's 50% more expensive than other high quality (but not top quality) boba shops. Not to mention that there are places around with similar high quality (e.g. high quality tea leaves, no powder, no syrups, premium ingredients) that are more affordable but unfortunately aren't small businesses.

She smiled while she refused to answer simple questions. Such as what were the most popular menu items. I didn't think this would be such an off putting question but she became visibly upset. This is a question I ask anywhere new I patron. She said there wasn't a popular choice that everything was the same. Again, very off putting response/tone etc. So I asked what her fav menu items were. She again became even more upset and this time told me she didn't have any favorites they were all the best. just disheartening to see a local small business owner who seemed clearly put off by interacting with people. I over heard several others talking about a similar experience as they were walking out. The friendly and personable cashier at Marination, across the street, said she had heard the same thing from others who had gone there as well. As far as the value for the money....My friend who ordered a 6oz matcha paid $9... for a tiny little drink full of ice. Draw your own conclusions from that. I paid almost $6 for an iced tea that tasted like water. There were no coffee /tea amenities. No coffee bar. Zero napkins, or sugar, or stir sticks, nada. Absolutely nothing. When I asked about the empty pastry case, I got more atttidude saying pastry's weren't popular. Good gawd...just unnecessarily unpleasant at every opportunity. I know we all have stuff going on in our lives, but taking it out on others just isn't the way. I really didn't appreciate my or my friend's experiences here.

Want to try the vegan pho some day. Update! Been coming here for a while now. Have had the chance to try many pho spots in Seattle and this one still is one of my favorites. The ratio of noodles to broth to meat or veggies can't be beat. Every spoonful till the last drop of broth has noodles. It's really quite amazing how they do it even with the small sized bowl (which is not small at all - always stuffed afterwards). Since my last review, I have had the vegan pho and it's one of the best. Wide assortment of veggies and plenty of tofu. I switch off between the steak pho and vegan. For patrons willing to go deeper than a pedestrian "Bahn Mi" or "Pho", try the Papaya Salad. It's refreshing and I recently learned uses young papaya so it doesn't taste as bitter. I enjoyed the horseradish they added to the aioli, but that may be too exotic for Goblins used to Pizza Bars and Casual Italian. For those that do enjoy the classics, they don't miss here.

Potstickers were spot on too, crispy edges, juicy filling, exactly what you want. Now the downside: the Korean Scallion Pancake. I've had plenty of jeon around the city, and this one was just off. I mentioned it to the woman at the counter (red hair, piercings), and she told me, "that's just how they are here," "we just follow the recipe," and that people come in specifically for it. Then she kinda just stood there, waiting. I had to ask if they could cook it a little longer to crisp it up. They did, but it came back basically the same, just hotter. The fried chicken add-on didn't help much either; only a few tiny cubes. She did remove it from the bill, which I appreciated, but the whole exchange left me disappointed. They're clearly capable of great food; those dumplings prove it. But that pancake was a rare miss from a place that otherwise has serious potential.
