This place overall is really good, very tasteful boba. They also have friendly workers like Czarina and Caitlyn.

Yumm Mochi - Hazelnut milk tea - 50% sweetness

He had small sample cups at the front and was clearly excited about each of his flavors. They've also brought the gacha cups (random toys at the tearable bottom of a cup) to the Seattle area. Boba isn't anything special but the service and promising donuts are bonus points and worth the visit. Wintermelon Milk Tea w/ Boba - a classic wintermelon. Very sweet and refreshing. Unfortunately no sugar adjustments because I think wintermelon tea is sweet enough by itself. Boba was chewy and lightly marinated but a bit firm, hinting at being left out rather than undercooked. Room to improve but it's not a specialty boba spot which I'll acknowledge.

On the other wall there are some chairs set up with plush blind boxes that could definitely be used as props too. Aesthetic aside, I got these donuts to go so I'll definitely need to come back and try these donuts day off since next day donuts don't do it enough justice. The frosting on top of the cookies and creme donut is pretty thick-- dense white chocolate with just sprinkles of Oreo crumbs. For the chocolate donut I'm not sure what the topping is but it's a thinner and richer coat of chocolate compared to the cookies and cream. I instantly devoured them but haven't tried the other yet. I'm strongly looking forward to black sesame one!

DRIP TEA @ SEATTLE…read more Parking is a little tough here since it's mostly street parking. Because it's downtown, it can be difficult to find a spot, but we were luckily able to find street parking about a block away. I'd recommend being prepared to do a few circles, you'll eventually find something. I absolutely love Drip Tea. I've been to this location a couple of times now, and I always get their Cookies & Cream blended drink. It's seriously so good. They add this hot-fudge-like sauce into the boba, so every sip is incredibly rich and delicious. If you're looking for more of a shake-style drink with boba, I highly recommend this one. If you're more into fruity or milky drinks, their mango green tea is another favorite of mine. You really can't go wrong with it, especially if you add boba. It also comes with mango bits, which makes it even better. Honestly, you can't miss with any of their drinks everything I've tried has been amazing. I also love the ambiance of this place. I could genuinely sit here all day. The space is pretty big, with plenty of tables to choose from, and they even have their own clothing line that you can browse while you're there. The staff are super friendly, and the music and overall vibe are amazing, very retro and really cool. I would definitely recommend stopping by this location. They also recently opened a new location in Bellevue, Washington, which is worth checking out as well. That one is a bit different since it's located in the middle of a food court, so you don't quite get the same vibe as the downtown Seattle location, but it's still a great option.

Seattle-Area Boba Shop Review #104…read more I think this was the last boba shop on Capitol Hill I hadn't visited, mostly due to the location being down the hill in an area I don't normally go to often. I finally decided to visit over a weekend in December, as always to get an after lunch treat before heading back home. The interior is modern and well lit. While there's enough seating for ten people or so, it doesn't seem like a place that people hang out at for long. Original Milk Tea, 50% Sweet w/ Boba ($6.90) - This milk tea is made with Assam black tea, but the fruity notes don't really hit. Instead, the tea is more earthy and herbal, with a hint of mineral flavor from the brown sugar, and then a slight aftertaste of oat milk. (Note: I love how oat milk is the default and doesn't cost extra. It's great for people with lactose intolerance like me.) The milk tea is quite foamy due to being machine shaken before service, and with the mix of oat milk and tea, becomes thick, giving the drink a lot of body. The boba, unfortunately, is only average. The pearls are soaked for a while in sugar solution, giving a pleasing brown sugar sweetness and soft and bouncy exterior, but the interiors are too firm. Like far too firm, giving a certain grittiness and really impacting the texture. Milk Tea Rating: 4/5 Boba Rating: 3/5 Social Tea serves some decent to good drinks. I personally prefer some other boba shops up the hill, but I certainly wouldn't say it was a bad visit. Note: Social Tea charges a 3% credit card fee. Bathrooms - Single unisex room

Not a ton of seating inside, but there's some space to do work, wind down, or chat. Overall fair prices and good for immediate area! Green Milk Tea w/ Boba - Boba was chewy but could be more flavorful. Cooked well but needs some marination. Tea was present, not too strong but could get floral hints. While I felt the balance between tea and milk was decent, I think the tea was watered down or tea leaves were reused a little much.

I was excited to see popcorn chicken being offered here and also wanted to try a new boba milk tea…read moreplace in Capitol hill and this place seems promising. I came here around 6:30pm on a Tuesday and there was no wait at all. Popcorn chicken (3/5) The seasoning is very strong with a powerful cumin smell and flavor. The seasoning is also a bit heavy and tasted too salty to eat. I had to get paper towels to brush off the seasoning for this to be palatable. The texture is crispy and the chicken is soft and juicy. Hokkaido Milk Tea (2/5) This tea was a bit of a let down. I ordered it 25% sweet and less ice just the way I ordered it from countless other milk team shops. Unfortunately I didn't taste much tea flavor. There wasn't much aroma to the tea and it honestly tasted like watered down milk. The place seems very clean and is quiet with soft music.

After having a good experience at the Roosevelt Tea Addicts location, I decided to stop by this one…read moreon Capitol Hill. As with the other location, ordering is done via kiosk, and the drinks come out fast. Phoenix Oolong Milk Tea, 50% Sweet, 50% Ice w/ Boba ($6.50) - The tea is very fragrant, with deep floral notes and a tinge of astringency at the tail end. Sweetness at half is more like 25% sweet at other boba shops, or perhaps even less while the ice level at half is a bit more than other boba shops. The boba served at Tea Addicts is on the smaller side, with some pearls being almost as small as mini boba. They are not cooked long enough, very noticeably reducing the chew and bounce. The pearls have a certain taste on the exterior that's almost is a little pasticky and, while I could tell they are soaked a bit in syrup, the sweetness is off. The boba served at the Roosevelt location had a very strong honey-forward flavor, which also helped to sweeten the drink a bit. This one, in comparison, is lacking in both flavor and sweetness. Milk Tea Rating: 4.5/5 Boba Rating: 3/5 There seems to be a consistency issue between this location and the one on Roosevelt. I ordered the exact same drink, but this one wasn't sweetened enough, and the boba was both harder and didn't taste nearly as honey soaked as the drink I received in Roosevelt. I definitely prefer the Roosevelt location. It's not a bad drink at all (hence my rating of 4/5), but there are better places to get boba on Capitol Hill. Bathrooms - Single unisex room.

Food & drink: (3/5) I've been a loyal lover of the milk cream strawberry since my very first visit, but for some reason it just isn't as good as I remember it being. I would say it's just fine now that I've noticed that they've gotten more watered down. I do enjoy that they still use fresh fruit, but would probably only come back if I was invited by a friend. My partner still really likes his usual which is the mango pomelo sago. I think it's one of their best sellers and is a pretty safe order if you don't know what to get. We didn't get any this time, but I do like their mochi. If you've acquired the taste, the durian mochi is solid. Service: (5/5) Ordering is mostly done through the kiosk at the front but I still appreciate how fast they get things out.
