My cousin introduced me to sugarcane and we would have to drive all the way to Lam's Seafood (Tukwila) for a sugarcane fix. Having Natalie's open a location in West Seattle has been great! Third time trying something from Natalie's and every single time it's been so mid that it's bad. The first time I went was the one in Tukwilla, which Ik isn't this location but it's under the same name. I ordered a Thai tea bc how could a Viet place possibly mess up Thai tea right? Wrong. It was so watery, I felt bad for my sister for buying me that drink when I could've made it ten times better at home. Second time, I got a matcha milk tea and it tasted like straight up green tea. I KNOW that matcha is made from green tea but it TASTES DIFFERENT!! I felt brave that day and asked them to remake it this time bc it just straight up tasted like they got my order wrong but no. They even tried to convince me that it's matcha and explain what matcha is to me. I regretted getting something from her both times when I could make any of these drinks at home and have it actually taste good and authentic. I'm Vietnamese and I love that they're a successful Vietnamese small business but I just wished their food, drink and service was actually good. Also the chicken and waffles were $17. I would price it at $14 for the type of quality u get. Plus even if u order in, they still give it to u in a box and don't even walk out ur order to u.
