Last time I got the burger from their OG location in Malden, so this time I got the But Make It Spicy Fried Chicken Sandwich! I said no pickles though because only bad people like pickles. I washed it all down with a delicious Nutella shake. I had no regrets until the next day at the gym trying to burn off all the calories consumed. My buddy enjoyed his Double Trouble burger (two 6oz beef patties, applewood-smoked bacon, American cheese, and house pickled onion) and a side of Buffalo Ranch Chicken Fries topped with chopped parsley. For lunch I tried the Fry me up chicken sandwich, Toasted Brioche, Lettuce, House Pickles & Homemade Buttermilk Ranch Fried Chicken - Gluten Free bun. The chicken was juicy and it had a great crispy batter, pickles had a good taste and the homemade ranch was delicious great balance with the sandwich the bun was fresh it was truly delicious! This location is very convenient and walkable since it is right on Newbury St. When you walk in, there is a decent amount of seating especially since it's in the basement. The restaurant was partially underground, and the interior felt like a modern pub. The host was nice and promptly showed us to our table. I ordered the Oklahoma Style burger ($13) and the Sweet and Spicy Fries ($13). I thought the burger would be a smash burger, but it was just a regular patty with onions barely smashed in and missing the meat lace that I was expecting. She got mad when my partner and I decided we didn't want to sit in the hightops after realizing how uncomfortable the seats are. She was very rude and unprofessional about the entire thing. A very solid, delicious burger in the heart of Back Bay! I've passed by this restaurant several times before and finally got to try it out this evening. I was impressed with the flavors and freshness of the 'Merica burger but was a little put down by the priciness and quality of the parmesan truffle fries (which I wouldn't order again).
