I love the crab spots that do the seafood books - especially if they have Dungeness, so we looked forward to trying out this place. Unfortunately, we were quite disappointed. The raw oysters were ok, but that Dungeness- for $38 per pound- was so flavorless (even with all of that seasoning on it.). I've never left crab on the plate, but I left an entire cluster just sitting there. Also, the service, while kind and friendly, were either overwhelmed or distracted, but for a full service restaurant, we shouldn't have to go to the to go counter to ask for things like drawn butter (after multiple requests). We spent almost $150 for 2 people. I can think of a lot of different places i would have rather spent that money. read more

I've been to Crawlin' Crab in Fort Worth before, but after my experience, I will not be returning. From the moment we sat down, the service was poor. We weren't even given water and had to stop a staff member walking by to ask. She said she would send our server, but things did not improve. The food was extremely disappointing. The crab legs had little to no meat in them. When we brought this up, we were told that everything is frozen and that they "spend a lot of money on crab," so they couldn't control the quality. That response alone was unacceptable. What made the situation worse was the lack of professionalism from management. A staff member (who walked past us when we asked for water) came to our table acting as if she were a supervisor or manager, but it was clear she was not. Being misled like that was frustrating. When the actual manager was finally contacted, he came over already defensive, talked over us, and dismissed our concerns instead of trying to resolve them. To make matters even more concerning, I personally ordered an alcoholic drink and was not asked to show my ID at any point. Overall, this experience showed poor service, poor food quality, and unprofessional management. This place has clearly gone downhill. read more

I don't know about yall, but the food was amazing to me and if you had red claw before you would know that their food can be a little salty and here it is not salty at all, and they give you a good portion. The shrimp is nicely cooked. The crab is amazing. The seafood boil in general is 10 out of 10. I love this place and they even know what we order since we've been there so many times and we always have the same server. Only bad part was we ordered 6 Raw oyster and onion rings for appetizers oysters were right out but the rings took awhile. Great new spot! If you don't know, I'm a big seafood person. I've tried most every spot in the metroplex. And this spot is nothing to sneeze at! (No seriously, don't sneeze. People will freak out! ;)) Okay I kid I kid. But yes I thoroughly enjoyed this spot. The crab was perfectly cooked. They offer a headless option for the shrimp for the faint of heart. Crawfish was good. I got the Crawlin sauce/medium and it was not quite spicy enough for me but very flavorful and delicious. The music was club level loud which wasn't my favorite thing but the food was good enough that I didn't mind too much. The waitstaff was very engaged, a couple of different people checked on us plus our waitress, Phoebe was super attentive and friendly. Boyfriend was in the mood for crab a little over a week ago and I'd been wanting to try crawlin crab so the decision was made. They have a great patio and luckily had an available table. Isaac was quick to our table to take our drink orders. I had a frozen margarita and Patrick a cold brew. The margarita was average but just what the doctor ordered. We shared mozzarella sticks to start and I had an order of gumbo. All food items are delivered in Styrofoam containers - at least on the patio. The mozzarella sticks were on point. The gumbo was okay but no okra. For me gumbo just isn't without okra. The rice is brought on the side so you can add at will. Patrick ordered the blue crab boil with potatoes and enjoyed the heck out it. I had the fried catfish with regular fries. Two thumbs up on both. The great thing about those Styrofoam containers..... you don't have to wait on to go containers. - with Isaac we never had to wait on a thing! He was personable and efficient. I love the food (headless shrimp w Crawlin sauce is delightful!). That being said, the service is spotty. Servers wearing masks under their chins & nose (owner too - why bother????). Ordered another small beer that took the bar over 10 minutes to deliver, even as I watched her doing nothing, and everyone at the table had finished their food & drinks. Had spicy crawfish and shrimp yesterday 4/25/24 and it was just okay. I liked the seasoning but I could tell the crawfish were frozen - the texture of the tails were firm and dry. I had crawfish from Red Claws Crab Shack and Lone Star Oyster Bar and both were better, nice and fresh and juicy. I do like the restaurant atmosphere better here though, they just need to sell fresh seafood when it's in season! I did ask the servers if they cooked it fresh and both said the seafood is frozen. My husband and I LOVE crab legs and crawfish when it's in season. We had heard about this place being better than Red Claw in Arlington. We got two #4 buckets (the bayou) $40 each that comes with 1 pound of crawfish, 1/2 pound of shrimp (head off no extra cost), 1 pound of snow crab, one potato, sausage, and corn. We got their crawlin' sauce (garlic, lemon pepper, and Cajun) medium. My husband requested their hottest sauce since the medium wasn't spicy enough. We also tried the shrimp fried rice and the Cajun fries. The shrimp fried rice has a good taste but it's not my favorite. The Cajun fries were really good but not enough for the price. When we arrived, the wait wasn't too long but as we sat and ate the line is outside the door so we arrived just in time. The customer service is amazing here and I would give our waitress a five star rating! If you do come here, request Lexi! She is so funny and friendly. We were excited that this place opened up right by our house and it did not disappoint. It was a Saturday around 2pm and it was pretty busy yet the service was really good. We got seated straight away and she took our order in less than 20 mins we had our food and drinks, and it tasted fantastic. We got the raw oysters to start which came out the same time as the boiled crab we ordered she said they took a little time to shuck, but were huge and fresh and not gritty like some are served. Tonight I ordered #4 Holy Trinity + 1 lb of Snow Crab worth $85.50 but when I opened the plastic bag the 1 lb of Snow Crab's missing! Despite the heavy rain I went back to the restaurant thinking that they would be apologetic and give me my missing items BUT NO instead they treated me so BAD saying that I probably ate the crab and came back for seconds!!!
