So simple, yet soooo good... Pictured is The Catch! Fresh, hot great tasting... too bad I am one of the few in my family who likes seafood... Everything that I have had here has been great... I think everything is cooked to order, but really does not take that long to cook and lots of different condiments to choose from... Oh yeah, free beer and or margaritas! Yeah, I said free! read more

The food was to die for!!! The prices are very good especially for the quality and quantity you get. The ladies that work the register and serve you are extremely friendly and you feel comfortable. Kind of a taste of New Orleans out in the middle of Texas! Lol... I definitely recommend coming here if you are craving Cajun or good seafood. read more

I've been eating here for several years and I have always loved it. I'm not sure what's going on with this place but the service and quality of food sure went downhill and has been going downhill for awhile now. Tonight me and my wife ate there and my wife received her food 10 minutes before me . Even though we ordered our food together. I ordered Med. Jumbo Shrimp and fries. My wife order 1 piece of fish and okra. When i received my food my fries were completely cold. Hushpuppies were burnt. No way Hushpuppies are supposed to be extremely brown. Fries are meant to be eaten warm, not cold. I don't understand why any server would think that people that arrive together and are sitting together would want to eat at different times. This restaurant is in desperate need of leadership. read more

My husband and I love The Catch. We try to go a couple of times a month. The catfish is excellent! Service is good and you can get your own refills on drinks, tartar sauce etc. The portions are very generous. We always have leftovers. read more

always good service and food. thier chicken tenders are surprisingly very good. I like the white fish more so than the catfish but it is all good read more

Im not sure if it was a bad batch, but the seafood boil I ordered was really bad. it seemed like there was so much salt, it was inedible. Very disappointed because I love a good boil, but my husbands crawfish plate wasn't terrible. read more

Good food for fair price. Don't go for the atmosphere. The staff is very friendly. The food is served fresh not premade

Everything was delicious except for the fried gator. It was like rubber and couldn't be chewed. Fish and shrimp were very tasty and fresh. I will return. Just no gator next time read more

I had the shrimp and whitefish fried combo. The whitefish was super good and way better than the fried catfish. I also liked the fries, they were really crispy and I liked the seasoning on them. The margarita was good but it had little to no alcohol, it was a bit too sweet as well. My wife had the grilled whitefish and it was bland, it needed way more seasoning. Some small part was also undercooked so she didn't finish it all. I liked the hush puppies but the wife didn't. The atmosphere inside was nice and quiet but the floor was really sticky. This place was better than Captain Ds but not Fish City. I might come back and try something else. read more

Food was very hot and fresh but also very salty. Serving size of the catch fish was huge. Had no idea when I ordered that I would get two big pieces of fish. Excellent value. Very casual beach atmosphere. You order at a counter and silverware is plastic. read more

We have been eating here since the place opened and I can say that the quality of the food is totally inconsistent. Tonight was our last time. One of our orders sat in the window from the time we were seated and was then served along with a freshly prepared order. We sent it back and it was replaced with a basket of fish that was mushy and falling apart. We sent it back, they remade it, but the replacement basket was overcooked and mushy too. We will never be back. read more

Went back today and everything was just as good as first time! The catfish okra and gumbo were delicious. My husband loves the catfish, shrimp and fries. Service was awesome and we will definitely be back again. I believe we have found our favorite spot for catfish! Thank you The Catch read more

Originally from KY, I'm a country boy at heart and believe the best Catfish resides in KY! HOWEVER, The Catch is the closest thing i've gotten to home and some of the best fish I've had in Texas. Lightly fried, the batter doesn't over power the fresh fish! The seasoning used is good touch to add a bit of flavor. Decently priced, The Catch offers good portions, along with a variety of options. Margaritas on the house don't hurt either! read more

we are regulars at this location. I asked for the shrimp not to be over cooked like I always do and it came out like rubber. They lost another customer. read more

We went back here just a week ago or so ago, everything was back to normal service was top notch food was top notch, they also have a military discount, very fast and friendly customer service with free margaritas and I believe something else I'm not for sure maybe beer, don't quote me on that, I have had the free margaritas and are good. Sometimes parking is a little difficult you may have to park out behind the store which is all concrete anyway because they do have high volume of customers and a Do have great food and service. I also highly recommend this place it's one of my regular go twos. read more

I had the Clam Chowder and it was awful. It was so thick I could scoop it with a cream scoop. The potatoes were not cooked and the bacon wasn't cooked enough. I love clam chowder but I don't recommend theirs. read more

OMG. The fish was amazing & everything was perfect. Loved everything. Got to get back to you ASAP.

I was hoping to find a yummy seafood restaurant when The Catch in Burleson caught my eye. I was with my elderly mother. A cold front had blown through that Sunday and the air conditioning was on about 60°. It was insanely cold and the staff was wearing coats. That's ridiculous. The fish was great but overpriced. I was expecting filets at least twice the size. The platter had 2 hush puppies the size of a pinky finger. The cost of hush puppies are literally pennies. Free Lone Star beer in cheap plastic cups was the last straw. I'll be heading back to the Flying Fish and Zeke's! That's worth the 30 minute drive. read more

Great crab. Don't care for the crawfish. The flavor of the crawfish is a little off setting.

Crayfish was hard to get out shell, what me believe some were dead. They got my to go order wrong and the young lady wanted to argue.

Ordered 48.00 worth of food from this place and all of it was grease logged the fish was rubbery fries half cooked and salt coleslaw was old and soupy I called and reported the issue. Food was horrible wouldn't recommend this place or eat here ever again. If I could give it negative stars I would. read more

I got shrimp and it was raw when I got it. Sent it back and when they brought it back it was the exact same even the one I had already bit was still on the plate the exact same. Completely wasted my money and couldn't even eat it. read more

Just wow! This ace was recommended on a local Facebook group and I'm so glad I tried it. Ordered the shrimp Po boy. That came with 2 hush puppies and a side of my choosing. I picked Cole slaw..... EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING. I also got a half order of fried green tomatoes. Unfortunately they forgot my sauce with those, but they really didn't need them. I can't wait to try more from here. Also I ordered through DoorDash and my food was here in less that 15-20 mins. read more

You order at the counter. We were greeted with a smile before we placed our order. She was very helpful once I told her I had never eaten here before today. She explained the food would be brought out, which would include silverware if needed, you get your own drinks and tartar sauce/ketchup/cocktail sauce, and to leave your baskets on the table when you leave. The have cherry Coke, my favorite, available. We ordered the chicken tender and whitefish combo and the shrimp and catfish combo. Both came with fries and hush puppies. The food came out to the table as it was ready. Everything was hot and crispy. The whitefish was very good and I also liked the chicken tenders. My friend really liked the shrimp, the only issue was there weren't more. The do have grilled options if you don't want fried food. I will have to come back and try more. read more

My neighbor and I went out for lunch today. We tried The Catch - Burleson. The staff was friendly, and the service was great. OMG! And the food! We absolutely fell head over heels. I'm telling you - it was the best whitefish tacos ever. We also ordered a sampler plate of fried appetizers; green tomatoes, pickles, jalapenos, and cheese sticks. So fresh and delicious. I'm telling ya... I was definitely 'the catch' of the day in their gaining a new customer (LOL). read more

The food is way overpriced for what you get. Atmosphere is so so and service was not that good.

So I'm only giving three stars because nothing was amazing. Not saying anything was bad because nothing was bad about this place at all. I liked the food and the service. I was there to pick up a to go order so I didn't get the full experience. I walked in got my food n left. Food was fresh and hot. I would go again maybe next time I'll sit down to enjoy the place. read more

The grilled white fish is good. The problem I had is that nobody on staff could tell me what white fish is.? That being said, I've just in the last couple of years have opened up to fish, So when I go to a seafood restaurant I don't think it's too much to ask for the staff to know the menu. Me: I'll have the blackened gator Employee: Don't have that here Me: Fair enough. What is white fish? Employee: It's thicker Thanks Scott V read more

This restaurant was a nice surprise. We were out house hunting in the area, and then got a hankering for some seafood. This is a low key, no frills place. It's small so the tables are close to each other. This just means you'll probably be chatting with your neighbors. Lol! I had the fried shrimp & oyster combo. My hubby got the large fried oysters. Both platters come with fries and hush puppies. All items were expertly fried. The food was not greasy, and seasoned well. The shrimp were the standouts. They were large, sweet, and juicy. The oysters were mid sized to small, so they tended to have too much breading on them. The hush puppies were "crazy good." They make their own tarter sauce here, and it was the perfect fried food accompaniment. Prices are reasonable and portions are filling. If you're ever out his way, you should definitely check them out. They have a good variety of seafood specialties on their menu, which is perfect if you're not feeling like fried food. There is a small patio, and they will give you a complimentary small cup of beer or margarita if you ask (and are 21 or over). read more

First timer here. Yum, yum, yum and yum on the fried catfish here! The cornmeal crust on the fish is delicate, light and full of flavor. Not heavy or greasy. The sides are plentiful, but the portions of the fish are small. I ordered the 'regular' fried catfish basket and got one catfish filet. It's a little spendy too - my one filet, side and 2 hush puppies was $9.99. The hush puppies were good but very heavy and a little greasy. I love good hush puppies but these were just ok. I got cheese grits for my side and the flavor was good, but the grits were a little mushy for my taste. I WILL be back for the catfish! Best I've had in a long time. Now if only they had an all-you-can-eat catfish basket...I'd be all over that! Overall, great first time visit and look forward to trying their other menu items. read more
