On Thursday, February 12, 2026, I was blessed to be able, to attend an luncheon meeting with some individuals, that I met, at this really nice restaurant, with some delicious food and mouthwatering peach tea. Our waitress, was very nice and she made sure, that we all, had everything we needed to enjoy our meals. The food was cooked hot and ready to eat, that the wonderful waitress brought out to us Since, we were in the restaurant area that is used for meetings, there was no additional, music or any other talking, that was in the main restaurant dinning area, that interfered, with us in the luncheon meeting. Stopped by to have dinner with my girlfriend on a Monday afternoon. The place wasn't super busy but the service was kind of slow. Not sure what that was about. The ambiance inside of the restaurant felt very fitting. You definitely feel like you are at a fish restaurant. The actual food was pretty good. The martini wasn't the best but the caesar salad was decent and the crab boil was delicious and very flavorful! However the shrimp were kind of hard to deshell and the crab meat enjoyed sticking to the shell. That can usually be fixed with some vinegar in the pot and 5-10 minutes to soak. I would like a little bit more effort from Fish City Grill in the future but they have done enough for me to come back and try it again. read more

Great place near old town to pre game and grab a bite. The waitress Shonna was great. Awesome service and hospitality. Good reason to come back. The drinks are great.. My husband treated me to this new place for Mother's Day it was so good! The hush puppies were my favorite! We stoped by here over spring break while visiting JellyStone. Food is fantastic, place itself has a nice vibe, and the staff is friendly. For starters we had the crispy calamari served with Thai sriracha sauce. The Alabama farm raised catfish caught my eye so I had that as a main course. It came with a side of rice and spinach. I liked the blackened style of the fish and it was well seasoned too. They have a board of rotating daily specials if you're looking for a fresh catch of the day. First time visit, and it won't be our last. The Crab & Shrimp Queso was very tasty with thick & crispy chips that are house made. I went with the thought of just getting fish & chip, but was surprised how vast the menu option were. Twice I've had disappointing meals that fell short. Today I ordered the fish tacos. What arrived was not a taco. It looked & tasted like a cross between a flauta or chimichanga. It was rolled up & fried which made it extremely heavy. There was so much going on with the filling that it was overwhelming. My wife got the lightly blackened costa rican mahi mahi and she really enjoyed it. The broccolini was better than their asparagus; She mentioned it tasted like it was cooked in steak juices. The mashed potatoes that came with the mahi was specifically delicious when she let me try it. I personally got the gumbo and the clam chowder. The clam chowder was better and I'm glad I got some buttery bread to go with it. The biggest surprise was liking the fish and chips that my little boy got. We came here on a Saturday evening around 7:30. We were afraid it would be packed but we were seated right away! Our server was super nice and attentive. We started with the fried pickles and they were very good! I love that they gave us 2 dishes of ranch so we didn't have to share it. I had the fish n chips which was good! Not greasy... we'll, it IS fried fish but wasn't dripping and soggy with grease. The fries were delicious and well seasoned. My husband got the flounder that was stuffed with crabmeat. It was very good and not at all fishy. I had been craving fried okra so I ordered some. It was breaded with cornmeal and was just ok. Everyone i was with LOVED their meal. However, i was not super satisfied with mine. I ordered the Mahi mahi tacos that came with rice and we split the calamari. The calamari was deliciously crunchy and came with tartar sauce & a sweeter sauce. The Mahi Mahi tacos were cold, which I assume is how they are supposed to come because they were not room temp but cold. I would have preferred my fish cooked right there in the moment and served warm with cold toppings. The fish came in big chunks which was nice, but it was seared heavily which made a hard crunchy outer layer that was hard to bite through.The rice was horrible. It was crunchy and had no flavor. The party i was with ordered the Cobb salad and pick two with fried shrimp and oysters and loved it. I liked the dipping sauces it comes with the tacos. Squeeze some lemon on it! (I like lemon on all my seafood haha) I got the half order and it was a good amount for me.
