Glad I found this place 3 years ago. Very tasty and consistent food ranging from comfort to healthy choices. The Dijon chicken with rice and broccoli is very satisfying and rich with a good portion. The blackened salmon is a healthier choice; I get with Caesar side salad and broccoli. The buttered honey croissants are sinfully delicious and hard to ignore. False advertising. Lunch menu has "beer battered" fish and chips. Fish is clearly breaded. Was told manager would come to my table. No one ever came. I asked again. Still no manager. I mentioned to the server about 5 times that a manager STILL hadn't come to our table. Did not eat the meal but was still charged full price. Very poor customer service, food was poor quality, my daughter ordered the same thing also did not eat it. It's hard to believe that management does not care about customer satisfaction. Came here for a date night. We got out croissants, they were not hot but still good, and their drizzle is always on point. I had an old fashioned and my husband had a margarita. The old-fashioned had a good amount of whiskey and an orange slice but no muddled cherry. My husband's margarita was good. We got cheese curds for an appetizer. It took a while for them to be brought out, but the manager came by and apologized for the wait. They came out shortly after that, and they were hot and fresh. Service was great my sister and I went right before Thanksgiving. We had the honey croissants as an appetizer ( it was recommended) and they were so yummy and soft. The food was delicious and we definitely go again. I had the 6oz steak with a house salad and my sister had the prime rib with the broccoli cheddar casserole and mashed potatoes. Cheddars is probably one of the best restaurants in the Burleson/Crowley area (in my opinion). Not great , the food was not good. Monte Cristo was dark brown and with grease dripping. Also the potato soup was good but could we have more than 4 tablespoons spoonfuls of soup? I didn't want fries so asked for soup and was told there would be an up charge. That was ok but the serving size was so small. We have frequented this Cheddars several times in the past year. Nothing prepared us for the decline of service and quality of food upon our visit Feb 13th. My 8oz steak was cooked rare, not medium well. It was stringy and chewy, hard to swallow. My baked potato had been under a heat lamp it appeared, and the serving portions were poor. The area we were seated in was very messy with food on the floor one booth across from us. Initial service was good however my entree was incorrect so she took it back to the kitchen. Sunday 3/19 My friends took and met me at Chedders in Burleson. They got us (7 total) seated pretty quick. First thing..a round of drinks then we started ordering. Everything went well and food was good until we realized they forgot Lories dinner. They were very apologetic and prepared the dinner. It was free of charge. Some form of communication that say's " Please don't pull in to park to get out of your car to come all the way inside just to find out what we mainly serve is not available for 2 hours", would have just been a bit more respectful to the loyal customer. The hostess said it would be a few minutes to be seated. I said I was going out to my car to get my jacket. I was gone about five minutes. when I returned, the couple ahead of me had still not been seated. I asked the hostess how long a wait would there be. She said another ten minutes. However, this time they gave me a salad filled with ICEBERG Lettuce including the core, and over rippened cherry tomatoes! Yes, $13 for a crappie salad. The only knock I'm giving them is both my wife's and my baked potatoes were not very warm and slightly hard. Honestly I come to expect this from most restaurants. Was excited a new resturant opened up in the area, but food was way underwhelming.. so I don't really plan on going back. Food seemed like it was reheated in the microwave and then served. Cheese fries appetizer was a nice portion, again it just seemed like it was microwaved or has been sitting under a heat lamp for a while before it was being served. Country fried steak was a big portion but was over cooked and chewy. Green beans were super salty, i couldn't even eat it. Mash potatoes was the only decent thing. Chicken pot pie.. more like veggies pie. There's barely any chicken in it, unfortunately. If there was some more chicken in it, it would actually be a pretty good meal. The outside looked packed with cars but once inside there was no wait and still plenty of tables. Kept clean and still smells like fresh paint. If the paint smell bothers you, i would def recommend for you to wait it out a bit longer for the lingering paint smell to go away before heading here to dine in. We are first timers at Cheddars and ordered dinner for pick up tonight to see what all the hype was about. I ordered online and was given a 30 min wait time. It was ready in 20, ANNNND, I was able to pay online with PayPal! That deserves a star all by itself! So on to the food...holy portion sizes Batman! Huge! Lots of bang for the buck! The Monte Cristo was really good and I can see why it is on the favorites list. The raspberry sauce was aaahhh-mazing!! Also noteworthy - the Country Fried Steak. Super crispy and so, so good. Maybe one of my favorites from a restaurant. (Nothing beats homemade, but this was up there!). Lots of sides to choose from, ginormous menu that can satisfy just about everyone looking for their favorites, super fast pickup service, delicious food...and I can't forget to mention and highly recommend the holy grail... the croissants. I'm impressed with the food and service experience from my most recent visit this weekend. We usually do take out from Cheddar's but decided to dine in. We came on a Saturday night, waited 10 minutes for a table. Our server was really nice and made some good margaritas recommendations for us. They give free honey butter croissants after you get seated. We ordered the Wisconsin cheese bites for our appetizer and they tasted good. We ordered the New Orleans pasta and the Monte Cristo. Loved the New Orleans pasta and the Monte Cristo was good but a little too sweet for me. The Monte Cristo is fried so it's almost like you're eating food from the State Fair, like I said it's really good but a little too sweet for me. Service was great and the restaurant looked clean. I have tried their chicken fried stake in the past and it's also really good. Their chicken pot pie is alright but probably wouldn't order again. Will be coming back to try something new. read more

The food was out fast and freshly made as well. The complimentary croissants were as good as I remembered them, sweet and buttery. The Monte Cristo was amazing but I always ask for it without the powder sugar. My wife and daughter both loved the baby back ribs but it felt too sweet for my taste, regardless they enjoyed it. My wife did get the Island Ticki drink and it was super tasty. The buzz sneaked up her slowly but she was glad it was a smooth drink. Lastly, the waiter Severo C. was very kind and attentive. Well, tonight was opening night. There are storms rolling through and their computer system keeps going down. If you hit the lottery tonight you walk out without having to pay since they can't give you a ticket. We had to pay. They brought some really good honey butter croissants with our iced teas! We started with chips dnd queso. It comes with salsa also. The salsa had pretty good flavor but no kick. The quest had a little kick but it didn't taste like it was from jalapeño; more like a red pepper? I ordered the full rack of ribs which was rather large. The ends were terribly dry. Once you get in to the center it softens up a bit. The fries were crispy and tasty. The coleslaw was juicy enough for my liking. My husband ordered to chicken pot pie. He said it was okay. Not great. I tried it and it's not as good as homemade maybe like Swanson's. He had a side salad with a bland blue cheese dressing. We sat at the bar and a delightful young lady named Jazz was our server. She did a great job keeping us informed on the status of our order since the system was down. I felt bad for them having to deal with these issues on opening night. There was one glaring thing that bugged me. Another girl that may have been a bar back went and got two buckets of ice. She dumped each bucket into the ice cooler and the ice went all over the lid of the cooler, all over the instructions for the cocktails and she used her bare hands and swept all of the contaminated ice in to the cooler! Funny how life turns out. A few years post Covid and Cheddars is now our favorite restaurant to frequent once a week. They have many delicious entrees that are still priced "pre" Covid. I would have given a 5-star review based on their new offering "cheesesteak sandwich" alone. The wait staff is great (now that we are allowed inside-lol). My favorites are the meatloaf, chicken pot pie, tilapia, salmon, cheesesteak sandwich, Monte Cristo and their sinful chicken-friend anything. Portion sizes are generous. Hubby and I often share. Highly disappointed in todays visit. Wanted to try something new and nothing came out correctly. I ordered the New Orleans dish with no onions or green peppers and it came out with no chicken and no sausage. Staff very friendly. Food was good and hot. I had the veggie plate. Red beans and rice was very good. Broccoli casserole was awesome, green beans were a little to sweet, but still good.
