Visiting and wanted to patron a local business. This place was rated highly online. Immediately when arriving I was advised they were under staffed, okay understand. The owner was complaining the entire time about how busy and understaff he was. He complained about not having ingredients and seasoning. I could hear the convo the entire time and it was just non-stop. I understand being understaffed and busy. I understand the frustration. But it was so uncomfortable we did not want to eat there. I politely provided the feedback to the lady working the front end and she listened. As I'm leaving the owner comes out and screams from the front door of the business while in my car, to never come back. So unprofessional. Rude. Disappointing. The food is probably good but the owner and the service he provided was awful. Update-The food was great. I was happy to wait. Like the reviews said it would be. I stand by the service from the owner and his awful attitude and treatment. I have no reason to lie and rarely leave reviews. Parking lot was packed so I parked in the grass next door. I was told there was a large order ahead of me. A few people sitting down and more coming in after I've ordered. I'm thinking this place is gonna be great. Rock music was playing, people were moving and talking. It's a lively place. The fries weren't for me. The fries had a bunch of seasoning, Cajun and old bay being the main two. They were salty. I don't think the meat was seasoned and the melted cheese didn't offer much flavor to the food. Wow!!! This place is so delicious. Black owned and incredible comfort food . And all fresh cooked. I got the bacon cheeseburger and it had cheddar cheese with bacon and came with fries. This is one of the most satisfying burgers I have ever had. My sister got the chicken fried chicken topped with gravy and the batter is SO well flavored and crunchy with perfectly cooked chicken. For sides she got two macaronis so I could have on too , and that was the highlight of my trip to "The Singing Chef." This macaroni flavor and texture is unlike I have ever tasted and it was PERFECT. I went during a busy lunch hour but the chef who is also the cashier, and greeter went out of his way to make sure my mom and I felt welcomed. The food is super delicious. With very reasonable prices. I had the Mahi Mahi fish fillet with a Cajun rub and green beans that were to die for. My mom had the spicy chicken sandwich with a sweet sauce and that delicious as well. You really can't go wrong with this place. We went here for dinner around 5:15 and there were complimentary chicharonnes, hot and crackling delivered to the table. I ordered the chicken fried chicken and I was immediately in love with the place. Everything was well seasoned. Sammy shared that there was about to be a change in the menu so we also got the chicken fried steak with loaded mash and simple side salad. OMG.... The cheesesteak was so good! I have been searching for a cheesesteak similar to what I am use to in North Carolina. I think I found it. The cheese and onions was grilled to perfection. The juices ALL meshed and made it even better. Delivery... I drove up and it wasn't long at all. My food was piping hot. The fries was seasoned and was good. We accidentally met this chef at Logan's of all places. He was there with his girlfriend. It took us months to finally make it to Everman to find his restaurant. I ordered the peach pork and it was fine. Big portions. Fresh food. The sides were the standout. I loved the mashed potatoes and seasoned corn. Those were great.
