Chicken Southern Fried Chicken

Every Mother's Day we seem to end up at MACs, and we never have a bad experience The menu offers a variety of options. You will be able to find something for even the pickiest of eaters The interior isn't overly trendy, but there is plenty of decor and seating options. One side of the restaurant has a bar area, and the other is for dining The entrees have hearty portions, and the food has always tasted delicious. There is complimentary bread and butter which is exceptionally tasty. There last time we visited the bread wasn't cut very well or much at all, so, we had to try to cut it with steak knives and it was a bit of a mess The service was good. Everyone was friendly and attentive If you're looking for a restaurant for a celebration dinner or for a date night, this is a good option Some tips: Some of the clientele is slightly older, and while there are handicap parking spots out front, the ramp to get up the sidewalk is several (or more) spots away from the ramp which is slightly inconvenient if you need to use the ramp Cheers!!

I have been wanting to try this place for a while, and I decided I wanted to try it out for my birthday, I made a reservation. Upon arrival The host sat us right next to the kitchen my view was the soda machine. Disappointed ,but we wanted to make the best out of it. We order the grilled sea scallops delicious, my husband order a Steak hamburger he said it wasn't nothing special and I ordered the Grilled salmon and it was undercooked had to send it back, waitress was very nice about it and took it back to get it cooked a little longer. It was delicious ,but it had returned with a hair manager was notified he came to the table and said "I heard there was a tiny hair in your plate" made me feel like I was over reacting small or big it's still a hair and it wasn't mine. They did give me a free drink ,but I don't think I'll be returning very disappointed I wanted to love this place.

Great local spot, tucked away with an upscale feel. Perfect mix of regulars, bar flies, fancy date nighters, and yet still family friendly. Food is fantastic, drink menu is abundant, and staff is friendly. Highly recommended.

My brother and SIL treated me to dinner while I was recuperating from a surgery. I haven't been in a while and it was so nice to see that things hadn't changed. I like the clean look with the light floor/ceilings, white table clothes on wood table and chairs with wood paneling throughout. The live plants thrive in front of the many windows around the front and side of the restaurant. There's always plenty of parking along the three sides of the building. Services was excellent and my small Crawfish Etouffee was so delicious; just the perfect amount of spice. I took half of it home and it was even tastier the next day.

This place has been in Arlington a long time. Atmosphere is nice and quiet, food just okay. It gets really busy at dinner time ,mostly locals older crowd or family.

Cinnamon rolls

Went here for Easter brunch today and it was amazing!!!! Our cousin had told us to try it out and we are so glad we listened. This might be the best brunch I've had in DFW. From the cinnamon rolls and fruit that they bring out to start to the delicious menu items, everything was so flavorful, hearty, and delicious! Plus our waitress was extremely kind, fast, efficient, and helpful! I loved the eggs Benedict and cinnamon rolls the most! My brothers loved the ghost pepper burger a lot! I would highly recommend and I will definitely be back! We got the food in a pretty decent time and love the restaurant as well! It was super clean, busy but not overly noisy, nice/fancy but also casual!

Crab cakes and it comes in three but we just devoured it before taking pictures.

The food and service at this place is excellent! The ambiance can be a little better compared to other places for the price of the food. As mentioned in most of the reviews, I had to try the chicken fried steak and it is not a lie and my husband had the fish with etouffe but their appetizers cannot be beat. I would probably do take out rather than dine in if I ever want to get the crab cakes again.

St Patty's day lemon drop

First time at Mac's! Not too busy for a Monday night and St Patty's Day! I enjoyed a lemon drop made green to commemorate the holiday and the Scottish salmon, both were delicious! We shared a salad and bread for start. I definitely will be coming back and bringing my family!

Worst overpriced ribeye I've ever had. You can get a better steak at Dennys. Horrible quality meat but a premium price.

I loved it! I say…read more"I" as my wife wasn't as big a fan of the food as I was. We had reservations in a busy Saturday night and were seated at a comfortable 2-top. They were about full when we arrived. Not so much when we left. While I thought there was a game tonight - it's the Eagles in concert at one of the nearby stadiums. Because it was packed when we arrived, the space was fairly loud. Cheyenne was our server and she did great. She knew the menu well and made some suggestions. We had already read the Yelp reviews and sort of knew what we wanted. Two of us shared: - Margarita rocks - Pan con Tomate - Crispy Pork - Jerk Chicken Paella The Pan con Tomate was amazing. Really cool presentation too. The Crispy Pork was real nice. A bit dry due to making it crispy. Really meaty too. The Jerk Chicken Paella was great. Cheyenne told us the jerk seasoning wasn't very spicy. She was right. I would have liked it spicier though but understand the decision to appeal to a broader section of diners. The socarrat was amazing. They make the paella in a small (8"?) cast iron skillet. It made for a perfect caramelization of the rice (socarrat). The dish had jerk seasoned chicken thighs and vegetables. Yum! I would have loved to have the Coconut Cake. But we were full and it was $22. We'll come back to Cafe Americana and try other dishes and the cake!

We decided to check this place out after the baseball game hard on my recommendation and everyone…read moresung me praises after the fact because of how good the experience was lol Because someone cancelled their reservation or group was able to be seated right away. First of all the space is very pretty and cozy. The dining room is long and narrow but didn't feel cramped at all. Or server JoJo was with us quickly and was beyond charming. She immediately gave recommendations for each area in the menu and when we were ordering drinks she even suggested different things based on our initial preference. For example, one of my friends asked about a whiskey sour and she recommended one of their pisco drinks instead and it was delicious! We got the yucca, dates, and lamb skewers as appetizers and didn't have a single crumb behind. Well balanced flavor with unique touches that we all appreciated. For entrees two of us ordered the lomo saltado which came out fairly quickly. Unfortunately, they had sold out of the duck when my bf asked for it so they brought him a drink on the house to make up for it. He changed his order to the salmon and loved it. I ordered the paella and sadly that did take waaay too long to come out. By the time they finally brought it to me everyone else was done eating so I just asked for a to-go box. The server did apologize and brought me a drink on the house but it would've been nice to know ahead of time that the dish would take so long to prepare, because I would've chosen something else so I could eat with everyone. All in all it was great and I'll definitely come back. Hopefully I make it in before the duck is sold out next time!

My husband and I have been going to this location for years but it's been awhile. We went for lunch…read moreyesterday and was glad that the waiter that had waited on us last time was there he is something else his name is huckleberry! I was so happy to see his face and we said do you remember us and he did and he put us in our favorite booth that we've always said in for 10 years. He had our drinks took her appetizer order it was there in the flash ask how we had been we asked him how him and his wife would be in we had a really quick chit chat before you knew it or advertisers were out we were eating he came back by to ask was everything okay and though my Coke was only half empty he got me another one. They want very busy so I was able to talk to him a little bit because he is so sweet and has the most amazing character. He loves his job you would think he owned it. We get such a kick out of him I think he is a huge asset for this location he's fast he remembers people's name he knows what you like he knows that menu backwards and forwards. I ended up with a calamari and okra with extra okra which was way too much but I was glad I took some home also I got my favorite thing in the world that you cannot find anywhere in the world but there and it is the jalapeno cream soup oh my goodness I've never eaten anything is delicious is that suit and the calamari was not off fried up into just Krispies like a lot of people do it was delicious meaty calamine the okra was over the top and they make their own ranch and I asked what it was because it didn't taste like any Ranch I'd ever had I thought it was something different but Huckleberry was quick to tell me if they make it fresh everyday and that it is their own little style that they put on it I wish I could buy it by the bottle. My husband had salmon patties and then he had a plate I don't know what it's unreal! I asked for the manager and the head manager was there I wanted him to know about huckleberry and how the seats better than ever he was so kind and he took his time to talk to us for quite a little while. Such a nice guy. If you want seafood this is the only place you should go honestly it's worth the drive no matter where you're at you will not be sorry and you'll be hooked no pun intended lol . I can't wait till next Monday to eat there again and I'm going to call first and make sure Huckleberry is there what a guy what a card what a wonderful character this guy is and the best waiter that has ever been I told him please don't leave here are you happy with your job he says I love my job

I love Rockfish. It has perennially been a favorite of mine. There's so many good things here. I've…read morenoticed that Rockfish is really dependent on the Chef. And I've been coming to this place through two of the chefs. Both of which been amazing. So if you have tried to Rockfish before and you were like it was OK, you have to try the one in Arlington. It is excellent. Also the weight staff is very helpful. And the restaurant is always clean and very friendly. But it is the food that keeps pulling me back. Whether it's shrimp and grits or the calamari. They even have seasonal favorites that are only here for a short time. If you love fish, this is your place.
