Country fried steak w/ scrambled eggs and hash browns. Pancake on the side w/ butter on top!
    Paul Q.

Our service was pretty simple, easy and smooth. We had our cups refilled and got everything we needed. The food was really good! BUT.. My boyfriend said the country fried steak tasted odd, I tried it and made a face. I asked if that's how it was suppose to taste and he had no answer for me. We can't complain since we ate all the food, but we're pretty sure the steak was old. We can definitely move past that and will be back. We just definitely do not recommend the country fried steak. The environment was nice, everyone minds their own! I will also say.. It's true what others are saying, the prices are HIGH! We paid about 50 dollars for both our meals.. Overall, just try it.

Dropped in today for brunch. Food was really good place was way bigger than I though. Everyone was nice but seemed to be busy somewhere else so when you needed someone you had to wait for a while.

This place is ruining itself by greed. They have inflated their prices so much it's ridiculous! My co workers and i stopped eating here because they got so high it just wasn't worth it. They really charge $10 for a breakfast taco not burrito, a taco and it's as big as a regular soft taco from Taco Bell. I saw a sign out that said check out their new lower prices and I went in to grab something to eat and they are still ridiculously high I don't think they lowered anything unless they had another price hike since I last visited and they lowered it back down to the ridiculous price that stopped me from patronizing them in the first place. You will come out better going to a steakhouse‍

Fried pork chops with corn and mashed potatoes

It's hard looking for a place that serves fried pork chops on a regular, and I think I found my go-to place! I called in for a pick up order and they had it ready within 10min. The pork chops came with 2 sides and a choice of either a roll or cornbread. The pork chops were crispy on the outside, yet still juicy on the inside! The mashed potatoes and corn were really food as well. The cornbread was a bit hard, but that wasn't a big concern. Everyone was super sweet from the moment of picking up the phone to me picking up my order. Will be back to try other dishes they offer!

Burger and onion rings. $24. That's about $1 per onion ring.

I don't live in Arlington and just recently moved from Dallas to Ft Worth. While looking at properties in Arlington for the day, this looked like a great stop. The reviews were mostly strong and the pictures I could see reminded me of my favorite Dallas steak fix, Bob's Chophouse on Lemmon. It doesn't have that vintage, chic atmosphere sadly, but it is old TX, steakhouse, 80's style. Colby asked if we wanted a menu and I said yes. He brought one for us both. I asked if they had any happy hour specials which is mentioned often in their reviews. He haughtily informed me that, "They don't do happy hour" and then giggled. Yes, giggled, the only other description is snickered. We ordered a Tito's Dirty Martini and Guinness and decided to stay anyway. He served my martini slushee and a good pour on the Guinness. He simply never came back. Everyone else had nuts and their orders taken. He avoided us as if we had the Bubonic plague. After his pointed non-service, I dropped my credit card, he snatched it and dropped the check. Obviously, I won't be back but I think that was the entire point of his service.

Have been back since then. Talk about your corner hole in the wall type places. It's located in the middle of an L shaped strip building. Inside is clean, and spacious. Nothing fancy here, but plenty of tables and a few booths. They have a covered outside patio, which might even be fully enclosed, with some pool tables. The bar location is on the back wall, with lots of seating. Full bar, with a reasonable amount of draft beers, and several good ones along with the normal commercial swill. I sat at the bar both times, and got great service. First time I did the usual and checked out the salsa and queso. Both were good and didn't taste like pre made stuff. If it was, well they picked a couple of winners. The serving was more than ample, more then I could eat over the course of the visit. Second time I went back, I was going to make a point to try the onion rings since they looked so good in the pics. As I was looking at the menu I noticed they had a Montecristo sandwich. As I've mentioned before, I have yet to find anything that even remotely comes close to the holy grail of MC sandwiches, the one and only made by Bennigan's. Of course, I ordered it, and the onions rings. I'm happy to say the MC here is the closest I've ever come to find. It was really good, and the jam served with it was also pretty dead on. It was a little nasty like it should be, but not as greasy as it should be, and I enjoyed the hell out of it. The onion rings were really good, even if the batter was flaking off a bit. Anyway, I like the place, wish I could drag myself out more. Been customers here every time I've been, but not as many that should be. They also have a digital jukebox so if you're here and ever hear something bizarre playing, it's probably me. Service and staff have always been very good. They know how to make a pretty good margarita as well, and prices are very good.

They were about full when we arrived. Not so much when we left. While I thought there was a game tonight - it's the Eagles in concert at one of the nearby stadiums. Because it was packed when we arrived, the space was fairly loud. Cheyenne was our server and she did great. She knew the menu well and made some suggestions. We had already read the Yelp reviews and sort of knew what we wanted. Two of us shared: - Margarita rocks - Pan con Tomate - Crispy Pork - Jerk Chicken Paella The Pan con Tomate was amazing. Really cool presentation too. The Crispy Pork was real nice. A bit dry due to making it crispy. Really meaty too. The Jerk Chicken Paella was great. Cheyenne told us the jerk seasoning wasn't very spicy. She was right. I would have liked it spicier though but understand the decision to appeal to a broader section of diners. The socarrat was amazing. They make the paella in a small (8"?) cast iron skillet. It made for a perfect caramelization of the rice (socarrat). The dish had jerk seasoned chicken thighs and vegetables. Yum! I would have loved to have the Coconut Cake. But we were full and it was $22. We'll come back to Cafe Americana and try other dishes and the cake!

First of all the space is very pretty and cozy. The dining room is long and narrow but didn't feel cramped at all. Or server JoJo was with us quickly and was beyond charming. She immediately gave recommendations for each area in the menu and when we were ordering drinks she even suggested different things based on our initial preference. For example, one of my friends asked about a whiskey sour and she recommended one of their pisco drinks instead and it was delicious! We got the yucca, dates, and lamb skewers as appetizers and didn't have a single crumb behind. Well balanced flavor with unique touches that we all appreciated. For entrees two of us ordered the lomo saltado which came out fairly quickly. Unfortunately, they had sold out of the duck when my bf asked for it so they brought him a drink on the house to make up for it. He changed his order to the salmon and loved it. I ordered the paella and sadly that did take waaay too long to come out. By the time they finally brought it to me everyone else was done eating so I just asked for a to-go box. The server did apologize and brought me a drink on the house but it would've been nice to know ahead of time that the dish would take so long to prepare, because I would've chosen something else so I could eat with everyone. All in all it was great and I'll definitely come back. Hopefully I make it in before the duck is sold out next time!
