It was cooked perfectly, and the portion was huge, I couldn't even finish. We also tried the blueberry pancakes, and I honestly think they might be the best pancakes I've ever had. Definitely worth ordering. As always, the service was great and on point. We even got to sit on the patio, which was surprisingly comfortable for August in Texas. They have fans on each corner that help circulate the air. The Tavern always has a great vibe, and it shows in everything from the food to the staff. We'll definitely be back soon!

We were led to the rear of the cafe and seated at a 2 top in the middle of the dang floor, by our selves, surrounded by booths, VERY AWKWARD DINING EXPERIENCE! Well, 5 minutes after we sat down, I'll be danged if she didn't seat a party of 2 at the lone booth that she lied about being held for a party of 4!!! She ruined the entire dining experience, which was my wife's birthday dinner out......should have walked out of the place and gone somewhere else, like to Clearfork!!!!!!!!

We ordered the mexcrunch wrap and the buffalo chicken wrap. I like how the salads can be made into wraps, which provides more options. I think we both preferred the mexcrunch, simply due to the crunchy texture. I think both wraps would have been better if we could've had the sauce on the side, because the wraps got soggy pretty quickly. The side pasta salad was surprisingly really good, and I see why they serve it. Overall, I'd definitely go back here for a healthy lunch option.

What I really liked about it was - it was not over-breaded and it was fork-tender. (in my humble opinion, too many places are giving you a lot more breading that doesn't have meat under it. Yes, it's a first-world problem.) The mashed potatoes were also quite good, along with the cream gravy. I'm not a huge green bean fan, but my wife really liked them. This place has a cool vibe and we plan to return sometime soon. It's one of the top 3 CFS's we've had in Fort Worth / mid-cities.

What was supposed to be nachos was anything but. The only explanation is someone who had never seen nachos tried to recreate them after hearing a rumor from someone at a Lowe's parking lot. The "chips" were not tortilla chips. They were rectangular strips of pale, flimsy material that looked like scraps of drywall film pulled out of a new construction site. An albino drywall experiment that somehow escaped the kitchen and landed on a plate. The entire thing was covered in barbecue sauce, with some mystery white liquid poured over the top. We assume it was supposed to be queso, but it definitely was not queso. Calling it queso feels disrespectful to actual queso. We ate maybe a quarter of it and decided we needed to leave before things got worse. Six hours later, we received an unannounced encore performance in the bathroom. I would avoid this place like a plague outbreak--unless you have an upcoming colonoscopy and want to skip the bowel prep.

She was so sweet and actually went to the kitchen and marked the menu pointing out lard-free menu choices. On the menu. Using black ink dots. Above and beyond. So we regrouped our breakfast plans and went mainly vegetarian. The Herbivore was absolutely delicious! Antebellum cheese grits topped with garlicky kale, romanesco and a soft boiled egg. We added a second egg. Split with my hubby. So good!! My sister-in-law had the brioche French toast. French toast topped with honey better, fresh berries and pecan granola. Served with maple syrup. Amazing! Added the duck fat breakfast potatoes. Who knew that the flavor would be so enhanced with the onions, peppers and duck fat. Get this side! Not a coffee drinker, but my hubby really enjoyed the coffee that is sourced from Cusco, Peru. Adriana made sure that the cups were always full and hot. For the table, we had the pollo frito biscuit w/duck fat potatoes, Brisket Benedict w/okra and the Fixe Breakfast entree w/maple sausage and potatoes. The pollo Frito was delicious, the chicken was seasoned well and maintained crunch even within the biscuit. Duck fat potatoes were also good but were even better after adding some salt. The brisket benny was okay, the texture of the brisket was very odd and didn't really hold up to the egg. Although the okra had a great flavor the batter was a bit too thick which made it chewy. The Fixe breakfast was great and the maple sausage was perfect. Our waitress was Adriana, she was great and very helpful. Overall we would definitely come back and look forward to trying dinner one night.

I've had the burger, side lobster mac and cheese, and the Hudson salad here, both of which were delicious. Their cocktails are always a hit, too. I love their French 75 and Lemon Drop martini. Huge plus that their martinis are half off during happy hour. The last time I visited, I arrived around 45 minutes after the rest of the party. Our server immediately noticed and greeted me, showing how attentive they are. The food also came out pretty quickly. The first time I came here though, they were a bit stingy to seat us at a booth during happy hour, but asides from that one experience, I have no complaints about this location. There's a decently sized parking lot available (though it can fill up), along with street parking. Overall, I highly recommend visiting Hudson House, especially at the FW location!

We ordered the oysters, and unfortunately they had quite a few shell fragments in them--enough that we didn't feel comfortable eating them. Once we were able to let the staff know, they were very kind about replacing the oysters, and the manager came over personally to apologize, which I really appreciated. This was my first visit to this location, and I'm hoping it was just an off day. I've always enjoyed Hudson House, and despite the hiccups, I would absolutely come back and give this location another chance because the atmosphere and the way they handled the issue left a positive impression.
