This has been our personal family spot since we moved to Burleson, Texas seven years ago. Honestly, one of the greatest things about this place is the constantly rotating tap list. It is second to none in DFW. There is always a new selection of great craft beers for true beer enthusiasts. The service is top notch every single time. I came here for Mother's day I was able to get a reservation last minute. My husband really appreciated that the booths fit his 6 4 frame. We got entrees, meat lovers flatbread, salmon bowl and the fried chicken bowl. I enjoyed the salmon bowl, it was a little pricey but it was tasty. My kid loved the flatbread, but my husband was not crazy about his bowl, he didn't think it had enough chicken and he thought it tasted equivalent to a KFC bowl. I also shared a chocolate mousse pie with my kid, we loved it. For my adult beverage I got their blue old fashioned, worth every penny. 06/12/26 Friday 5:45 pm. Went for a private event intensity training systems happy hour. We were upstairs. It was a lot more for upstairs than I imagined. The ceiling fans kept us reasonably cool on a warm Texas in June evening. Ordered the taco plate with brisket and chicken tacos. Came with rice, beans and a side of salsa and sour cream. Wow! Stopped in for a quick bite after a day-long drive. I ordered an OTxB NE Hazy IPA n my wife ordered her regular Chardonnay. The IPA was okay as was the Chard. We delayed ordering to settle a bit ... there was no pressure as the place was late afternoon/early evening chill. Wait staff was very slow. But the food was good and drinks were strong. Any of their margaritas are pretty good.

We had their brisket nachos- brisket was good and it came with normal toppings (jalapeños and pico). I tried a lager that tasted like a lager. They did have a unique strip of frozen "ice" to keep your drinks on that was pretty cool; I'd never seen that. Good service but felt more like a restaurant for sure. read more

We rented the private room at Old Texas Brew Company for my husband's birthday dinner, and overall it was a wonderful experience. We had a bit of a rough start because the group before us ran over their allotted time, but the manager and staff handled the situation as professionally as possible and did everything they could to accommodate us. We truly appreciated their efforts and communication throughout the process. Once our event got underway, everything was fantastic. Our server was absolutely amazing! She did a phenomenal job keeping up with our large group, managing separate checks, and making sure everyone had what they needed. She was attentive, friendly, and never seemed overwhelmed despite having a lot to juggle. The food was great, the atmosphere was perfect for our celebration, and we had a wonderful evening with friends and family. My husband and I knew about downtown Burleson, but we were not sure about all the little treasures that we would find there. The Old Texas Brewing Company was very welcoming and very comfy looking! When I first walked in the very first thing I said was "I love the way this place smells!" my husband said it was barbecue, but I have no idea. We chose to sit outside in the front because we figured it wasn't going to be getting any cooler so we would do it while we could. A young very nice man approached us quickly and asked where we wanted to sit so he took us outside and said " you can choose any table you like". He was friendly and kind very attentive to our needs. Did multiple check backs and we never felt like we had to wait on anything. My husband had a salad and a half sandwich and it seems like enough to feed two people. My review for Old Texas Brewing from last week is gone ... disappeared ... or ran away, but it was a good review. LOL Old Texas Brewing has a lot to offer their customers. Large variety of dark and lite beer (their own brew) plus cocktails. The food was delicious, we had brisket nachos, and pretzels. What a combination, but they were very good and fortunately, I was enjoying it so much. I forgot to take pictures. The establishment is quite large. They've got a large dining area plus the bar and then they also have outside seating and also on the roof where they may have a local band play. Awesome atmosphere there was a lot of chatting, laughter and people just having a good time visiting other friends. We stayed till closing ! The waitresses were very nice and stayed on top making sure that we had everything we needed. Made me feel special. I highly recommend The Old Texas Brewing Company for your next date night or girls night out !!! The place was beautifully decorated inside and out, and the staff were on their toes ! Everything was above all amazing, I know that I'm a very picky person, but the food, the service, and the atmosphere in general was amazing I will say that the flatbread meat eater is better than any pizza I've ever had because the food combination tastes fresher. Nobody has responded once because my lawyer and I am from WI. Im just hear to blast your names and let everyone know what kind of dishonest company you really are. Met a friend here for dinner before heading to the Juneteenth celebration. I don't recall the server's name but she was thorough and checked in on us regularly. I ordered an apple Gorgonzola side salad as an appetizer and my friend ordered fried pickles. For my entree, I had the half size of brisket nachos and a frozen mango margarita to wash it down with. I was really surprised with the amount of meat was on the nachos. I did have to request more queso and wish that it had been seasoned. Just stopped by for lunch while in town. Got the fish tacos and chips & queso. Everything tasted great. We also had some of their local beer. After a few hours of looking and hiking around dinosaur tracks, we were headed back to Crowley and stopped at Old Texas Brewing. In spite of it's name, it looked new. We were seated right away and were surprised to learn it was "the happiest" time of day, happy hour. There is a decent selection of drinks and nibbles, including taco Tuesday $2.50 tacos. The younger gal that served us was attentive and helpful. We ordered the HH brisket nachos, caprese salad, 3 tacos, and 2 tacos with a lemon and watermelon margaritas on the rocks. I could tell my husband was a little disappointed when the 3 taco plate came with rice and beans and his was just the tacos. She explained the 3 tacos comes with rice and beans so I asked her to add a taco so he could get the rice and beans. He was happy again. My son said the brisket and chicken were a tad dry. The watermelon margarita was sweet with a bit of sour, very good and strong. But I am a weak drink link. Overall, a great experience and would come back on my way through to Crowley. read more

I chose Old Texas Brewing Co for my retirement ceremony from the Marine Corps in December and it was great. The staff was supportive and not in the way while accommodating our las-minute requests. I was able to reserve my timeframe well in advance with plenty of time to setup on the day of the event - the upstairs area. It is a great venue because it is a specific place out of the way at the restaurant it avoids any awkward entrances of strangers mid-speech. They had great AV equipment, a stage, and heaters if we needed them but it was a warm day in December. The food was great - we ordered the brisket sliders and they were delicious and everyone was really impressed with the set up. The cost was really reasonable, they are super supportive of the military and offer a discount. Being able to buy a keg was a nice flexibility for our guests that we took advantage of and it was perfect. I would not do it any different and actually a few other people that live up further north in Fort Worth in attendance said they were going to repeat what I did and come down to Burleson and revisit Old Texas Brewing Company because they liked the experience so much. read more

Old Texas was my reward from an afternoon and evening of exploring Burleson and Crowley, picking up close to 20 new reviews. Old Texas is located in downtown Burleson and there is street parking available. Outside seating looked night but too many folks were smoking so I got a table inside at the bar (where I still occasionally got some second-hand smoke when the door didn't close properly). Bar was nice but I wouldn't recommend the very far seat at the right where the bartenders can't see you. That's my fault. Once I did get the bartender's attention, we tried the Bubble Gum beer (yuck, but yes it did taste like bubble gum) before the Hefeweizen that was the remainder of my drinking for the night. Two appetizers made up my main course and they didn't take more than 10 minutes to be set down in front of me. The boneless wings were classic chicken bites in a hot and spicy sauce. The half order was enough to get the flavor and they were big enough that they needed to be cut in half. The second half of my meal was the stuffed jalapenos. This was pretty darned amazing - jalapeno peppers stuffed with beef brisket and then wrapped in bacon. What? Yes. Absolutely delicious and perfect with the ranch dressing that cooled off the heat of the peppers just enough. I had a great meal at Old Texas and enjoyed the vibe. I fefinitely would return.
