Husband and I decided to go out for breakfast and try something new. I have to be honest and say I've had better. I was really disappointed with the amount of egg in my omelette, it was basically all the meats with broccoli and bell peppers and some eggs, it was good but not what I expected. The coffee was okay it'll get you through part of the day but you'll definitely be needing something stronger later on. Service was really good and the staff was super friendly, which is why I gave it a three star the staff is what really impressed us. Ambience is your typical mom and pop shop it's small country and warm. I will say I was surprised not to really smell the food or the coffee while inside the restaurant, I found that to be weird, usually it's overwhelming at a small shop but this one wasn't too bad. Overall I wouldn't go back myself but I say if you have older parents or grandparents that want to go out for breakfast this is their spot! read more

Got to sit where I wanted, fast service. Food was hot & fresh. It came out pretty quickly as well. The home fries were my favorite, they were really good. These are the sweetest servers on the planet. I came in tonight to have dinner while my son was at a graduation locally, and I sat in the patio to listen to the live music across the street and they were so sweet and kind. I had a cranberry pecan salad and it was enormous and fresh I got a mushroom swiss burger to go for my son and he inhaled it and said Mkm we have to go back for another one of those! We live an hour north of burleson. The area is super busy ans trendy and very fun it seems we may have to come back soon and have another bite at the porch. Had to pick up some items from Tractor Supply in Burleson. Figured...why not have dinner. Decided on Babe's because you know what you're getting. Mediocre food (use to be excellent!). Drove past, there was a line. Their food isn't worth waiting for. Drove around the block and parking was right by the Porch. I am SO glad to have tried this place. I wasn't original, ordered chicken fried steak and French fries. Pretty safe. My wife ordered chicken fried chicken and Mac and Cheese. Both were excellent. They brought wife mashed potatoes but offered to bring Mac and cheese in addition. Mac and cheese was fair, but mashed potatoes were great. We had the senior meal which was more than enough. Prices were shocking (in a good way) Hate to give good review because soon there will be a wait to get in. Staff was friendly also. read more

So we wanted to try a new breakfast place today and thought why not go see what's in old town. Walked in and no one was at the hostess area. Over the course of about 5-7 minutes probably 5-6 different employees walked by me like I wasn't even there, only one said we'll be right with you and it was one of the last who passed by me. For such a small place I would have at least expected the people walking by to be like hey we'll be right with you! Anyhow we got seated and the food itself was very good. The orange juice was garbage, would never pay for that again. The ambiance of the restaurant is non existent. Definitely needs a refresh and some lessons on customer service. With that said our waitress was nice. I'm not sure I'd go back after this experience. read more

My wife and I eat here on a weekly basis. We recently enjoyed liver & onions as well as Pot Roast. Savory, tender, and delicious. Service was excellent and the homestyle atmosphere, as always, remains family friendly. We left with desserts which we enjoyed the following day. My wife enjoyed the taste and generous portions of chocolate pie. I found the cheese cake very challenging, as is was very heavy, dense, and supported by a graham cracker crust that would preserve it if dropped from a helicopter. read more

Food was good very clean. Ambiance is kinda of somber they need to open the blinds to let light inside you sit at table and just look at wall and closed blinds. UPDATE: We decided to try again because honestly, they really do have the best pancakes around. I am happy to say the server issues seem to have been resolved and have had fantastic service from Stephanie (our favorite server!!) and very good service today from Gail! Food was pretty good. I had the chicken fried steak. Not chewy, great crisp on the outside.. The place was extremely hot.. Def needs to cool the place down, turn down the a/c or need more fans. It was slow paced. So if you're in a hurry or prefer a quick bite, this is probably not the place for you as service and food come out a bit slower. If you're not in a rush and prefer a slow steady pace, you'll enjoy it! Nice patio area. And surrounding area if you want to take a walk. read more

We tried this place a couple of times but each time they would missed up the order. Both times we would sit waiting for our meals for a long time. We'd ask the waitress for refills but she was too busy on her phone. We had ordered 2 Porch Burgers and the meat was cold and the buns soggy. We will not spin a dime on BAD Service. read more

THE PORCH IN BURLESON has been one of my favorite restaurants, great chicken fried steak and pie, 3 weeks ago I had a to go order for 2 CFS dinners, I enjoyed my meal up until the moment I found a rivet/screw in my mashed potatoes, I was pretty shocked, you hear about these kinds of things but don't expect it in your food, I could have choked or broken a tooth, I called several times and eventually spoke with Freddy the next day who offered me a replacement meal, which I wasn't in the mood for after this, explained I just wanted a refund, I will need to get past this before I ready to eat their food again, he said no problem I will take care of you, no problem! just refund my card I asked. didn't happen, I texted a copy of my receipt, still no refund after 3 weeks, acted like they didn't really believe me. for CFS from now on I'm going to Cotton Patch, the decor there is better anyway. read more

Food is always great. God forbid you get there 30 minutes before you close. Once they stopped ignoring us, we were told they closed at 3:00. It was 2:46 when they finally came to serve us. We said we leave - they happily let us. There's too many better places in Burleson to eat. We won't be back. read more

So we came across this little amazing place because Babes Chicken was closed on a weekday from 2-5 and I really wanted some mashed potatoes!!! Simple place, lots of locals, tidey, we were greeted very nicely by "Angela"? The manager who was very friendly! We ordered the chicken fried stake OMG so tender and full of flavors and you basically don't even need a knife and trust me it was that good!!! We ordered the buttered corn, of course the mashed potatoes , home made chips, and the mac and cheese!!!! I swear if they open in Dallas there will be no room to stand!!!! Our Father's Day lunch and we were VERY pleased with the attentiveness of the staff. Our server, Chloe, had her hands full and handled everything like a champ. I went today and our sever was horrible when we sat down we asked for some rolls we did not get any there was two of us and when she brought out are food she only brought one roll and we asked for another one and she made a rude comment about some more? Like she expected two of us to spilt that one hard roll. we also got sat with no silverware and had to go ask for some when our food came out, our sever only came to the table twice we watched every other table get excellent service I will most likely not be going back read more

The vibe is relaxed and pleasant, decor and finishings very nice. We arrived early and were seated immediately, Stefan was over in just a few seconds with water as well. Was started with the pimento cheese plate, a perfect starter. For entrees. I ordered the Santa Maria tri tip steak special and she had the Baja shrimp tacos. Everything was made to order and delicious. Portions were just right, not too big or small. This is a cool spot with great food. It doesn't hurt that the chefs were both on the TV show CHOPPED and one of them actually won! Not the last time we will be back.

I've had plenty of Birria tacos and they weren't this greasy. Aside from that the chips were pretty good, but the salsa was on the spicy side. We also ordered the chicken sandwich and I'd have to say that that was one of the BEST chicken sandwiches I've ever tasted. The flavor combination with the breaded chicken was perfect. I inhaled together with the fries, which were delicious too! Overall, this place is great! I can't wait to come back and try the other items on the menu. Also, their mimosa was priced well at $5. My bf always gets one and other places have charged $8 and up for a glass.
