(3/5) We recently stopped by Twisted Sister Tap Room while driving through Burleson. Since we don't live in the area, we're not sure how new it is, but the space itself definitely makes an impression. The atmosphere is awesome -- very moody and chic with a cool, trendy vibe. It feels thoughtfully designed and would be a great spot to hang out with friends if you're not in a rush. We were warmly greeted by the manager and hostess, which made for a great first impression. That said, the experience quickly slowed down -- and I mean really slowed down. First tip: do not go here if you're in any kind of hurry. Service was incredibly slow from start to finish. Our waitress also had a noticeable undertone of attitude, which didn't help the pacing issue. We ordered iced tea, an appetizer, and a salad to start. The salad unfortunately came absolutely drenched in dressing. We also ordered the garlic cheese bombs, which were actually very good -- though by the time they arrived, we were so hungry from waiting that anything might have tasted amazing. There were several small service details that added up. We had to ask for straws, we had to ask for plates, and we even had to ask for ice for the iced tea. We were never offered drink refills the entire time we were there. Everything is served on small appetizer plates, and when our pizza arrived (which was good -- fluffy dough with great flavor), we had to ask for new plates. The response was, "Do you want more plates?" which felt a bit strange. We also weren't given any pizza serving utensils, so we ended up using butter knives to cut it. Overall, this place has a very cool, chic vibe and the food itself has good flavor. However, the service was extremely slow and came with a bit of attitude, which made the experience frustrating. If you're looking for a laid-back evening and have plenty of time, it could be worth a visit -- just don't expect quick or particularly attentive service. read more

Ok, I'm a bit torn here. The location is great, the actual restaurant looks inviting and well done, and the service was fantastic. However, the food was just average. We tried a margarita pizza and a Bianca Sister pizza. The crust was really good, but the sauce and cheese were just so-so. The cheese was be oily, which seems like maybe they are using low quality ingredients? For the cost and the satisfaction I get from the food/dining out experience, I'd rather go to elsewhere. read more

This is a restaurant that we have wanted to try for a minute. We love to support local in our town, it is in the heart of old Burleson. The restaurant has a cool vibe. Cool décor and the staff was very helpful and answered our questions. My kid chose the Lasagna soup. I got the Brazen sister, but instead of bacon crumbles, I added arugula, and my husband got the Deviant sister pizza. I would have preferred if they had multiple pizza sizes. They only have one pizza size and their sodas, come in a bottle. So if you want to refill, you buy another bottle. I really enjoyed their pizza crust. And you could tell that it was fresh out of the pizza oven, and the ingredients were fresh. They charge .75 for hot honey, but it was worth the upcharge because the honey was very tasty. My kid really liked the Lasagna soup. It had lots of cheese in it and Lasagna pasta, but I did not see a lot of ground beef. My husband was not as impressed with his pizza but I think he was stuck on the price Vs the food. On his pizza, it did have large cuts of ham, which he's not crazy about. So know that if you get the Deviant Pizza Would I go back again? Yes, I think it's a great place to watch a game. Even have a little date night or have cocktails. I did not have an adult beverage, this time, but I look forward to trying some because they have their own menu of drinks. I enjoyed their pizza even though it is a little pricey. We had a team bonding for our 9/10u volleyball team at the Twisted Sister Tap House in Burleson. From the greeter, to the waitress, to the Manager they were absolutely amazing. The build your own pizza was such a fun activity for the girls to do. The food was absolutely amazing and the staff was so accommodating and didn't make us feel like a burden even though we were at party of 25. We will forever be fans of this establishment and their staff. We had such a good time. read more

This is a beautiful location with lots of parking in the downtown of Burleson. The servers are very friendly. I want to give this place a higher rating but the food is just well um average. I feel like the products being used are the issue. The cheese on the pizza was not on the higher end.....the herbs were not fresh.....for the price tag I expected better tasting food. Again it's not bad food it's just not great. I might give them a second chance if I heard they were changing ingredients but ....... 3.5 overall. read more

Super cute inside and they had it decorated so good. We ordered a few craft beers while waiting for our pizza. The server helped us decide on what to order. We ordered the Deviant sister and it was really good. The only thing i would do different best time is cut the ham. Bathrooms were clean and they have an area you can take a selfie. My new favorite pizza place! The service and the pizza is great and they have Revolver Blood & Honey on tap which I haven't found in years. Thus far I've had the Scorchin Sister which has Soppressata, hot honey, burrata, and chili crisp oil and the Smoking Sister which has creamy buffalo sauce with sliced mozzarella, provolone, sausage, topped with diced bruschetta mix and both are outstanding! The service is top notch as well, the cook accidentally cooked the wrong pizza at first and they ended up giving me both to take home. read more

Burleson- Old Town recently opened this gem. The best part of this pizza place that makes them stand out to me are the crusts. The crusts are absolutely flawless. Crispy on bottom, fluffy at the end. The restaurant is very clean. The wait staff is very observant and attentive. There's a clear structure in the way the front of the house is ran. The host, the servers and the runners. I've had 4 different pizzas since this place opened. The Alfredo is great and holds well. The ovens that they use are masterful. Every single pepperoni had crispy edges. Anything with hot honey is incredible, such as the scorching sister. I do wish their bbq sauce was a little smokier and less sweet but I know that probably isn't a popular opinion. The cheese that Is used in the cheesy bread is next level. I deeply recommend the Strawberry Mojito (not pictured).! read more

Today was Twisted Sisters Burleson Taphouse in Burleson. This is the second location for Twisted Sisters located in old town just across the green field on the plaza. It has an elevated Taphouse feel offering beer, wine and cocktails. Food wise they do have lunch specials Tuesday-Friday (closed on Mondays); starts like their bruschetta, soups such as a lasagna soup and various 12 inch pizza options including a create your own. They do have a kid size pizza as well along with dessert! We ordered the Deviant Sister with spicy honey which gave a nice kick but was not overly spicy. I enjoyed the crust and dough as it was light and had a good soft crunch. The bruschetta surprised me as it was nice and soft versus some other bruschettas that cole are on hard or baguette style bread. Looking for sandwiches? They also do sandwiches with their dough! The staff was friendly and offered recommendations, stopped by to drop off drinks, starters and clear plates. Overall, a great new location for a quick bite or a pint. read more

Just had the best pizza I've had in DFW in as long as I can remember. Walking up to the restaurant we were greeted by the inviting smell of pizzas being cooked in wood fired ovens. Our waitress Emma was super sweet. The ambience is beautiful with dark walls and twinkly lights. Our Wacko Sister pizza was incredible with the best thin chewy crust I've had in ages and huge chunks of sausage with the aroma of roasted garlic with every bite. The Italian salad was loaded with toppings - black olives, pepperoni, thinly sliced red onion - with a big side of zesty Italian dressing. Manager Amber was so incredibly kind and made sure to check on us and ensure we had everything we needed. Can't wait to get back and try more things from the menu! read more

We had my friend's birthday dinner last night. From the moment I made reservations (14 ladies), the greeting from hostess and we were seated right away, to the amazing service from Grace it was a phenomenal dinner. Grace was excellent!! She was probably the best server I have experienced in a very long time. The restaurant is beautiful and fun atmosphere. I'm not a pizza person and I really enjoyed it, 1 pizza will easily feed 2. I ordered the blazen...Alfredo, spinach, mushroom and bacon. Our friends love the tomato basil soup. Garlic cheese bread and the "cheese bombs" were big hits. Walk the extra block from the main hub of downtown restaurants. This place is a nice find. Food is great with a nice craft beer selection. The wine selection is great, also. Don't miss this place! This is our second visit and it didn't disappoint! read more

Nice restaurant with a different take on Pizza. This isn't Italian pizza this is a Texas take with some interesting flavors. Lots of craft beers to try and good food to sample. Pizza we chose was a bit soggy but that's because of the amount of sauce. A great pizza still but will experiment to find my favorite. Worth the experience. read more

I love the Midlothian location so thought I'd give this one a shot. The pizza was good but not as good as the other location and the service was a bit lacking. I love their gluten-free crust and drink options. Definitely check it out if you're craving some good pizza. read more

I am always looking forward to a new experience in a bar or restaurant. Some here in North Texas start out great and fizzle out real quick. This new pizza spot in Burleson was another sad disappointment. We waited to be seated until the host finished her conversation then she tells us if we are interested in tap beer we have to look it up with the QR code, then puts down the menus and never looks at us again. Not a happy camper, I suppose. The margherita pizza is mostly sauce and a tiny bit of cheese on some charred crust. The salad is crammed into a tiny bowl with iceberg lettuce, two small tomatoes and a few slivers of mozzarella cheese. They charge extra if you ask for additional dressing. The atmosphere is like a hospital cafeteria with the exception of the pretty lighted tree in the center. Prices are high but quantity and quality is low. Service was good but a little rushed. The ticket should never come to the table before you are even finished eating. It all felt like a fast food establishment that was extremely overpriced. read more

After reading other reviews we decided to try this place sort of on a whim for lunch. The location is a little tricky because you can't actually drive up to the front. It is located immediately across from the Pavilion in Old Town, just a couple doors down from the location where Heim BBQ was located, for you Burlesonites. We ordered one of the 12" pizzas to share (wacko sister) and it was delicious. The artisan wood-fired crust was thin, light and crispy; perfect! The ingredients were perfectly blended and ample; nothing overpowering. It was served hot, but not so hot that it would burn your tongue or the roof of your mouth, if you know what I mean! It reminded me of something you would get up in Colorado at one of the ski resort towns (been there, done that). All in all the food and service were both great (our server checked on us several times; very attentive). I would definitely go back to try some of the other pizzas on the menu, and maybe even a sandwich made with that wonderful pizza dough! read more
