Sad piece of hazelnut zuccoto (for scale that is a standard tablespoon and yes it was that jacked up)
    Cynthia B.

This USED to be a gem but wow how times have changed. We stopped by after not having the hazelnut zuccoto for years, a James beArd award winner, and when we ordered 4 pieces, they were given to us from the back in individual pre-wrapped boxes (cling wrap around them). Interesting. Even more interesting was the price of each piece...$10! I mean I get inflation and cost but WOW. Then, we get home and the pieces are half the size we feel like they were at one time AND the cake part was dry. No more zuccoto in our lives. Back in the day it may have been a challenge to find a bakery of this caliber in St. Louis but that certainly isn't the problem anymore, thankfully!

Second visit. First i enjoyed a tasty dinner salad and warm rolls. My entree was pork tenderloin, mashed sweet potatoes & roasted vegetables which was prepared perfectly and was delicious.

After having delicious desserts from Cravings at the Yelp Elite event at EdgeWild, Mallory mentioned that we should go here some time because they serve food. Imagine my embarrassment to not have known that they actually serve meals here being a lifelong Webster-ite. I had never even been in. So we remedied that one Saturday. It's cute inside and we were taken care of efficiently, but not at all with any sort of friendliness. I got the butternut squash soup, plus a foccacia with mozzarella, sundried tomatoes and pesto, which came with a salad. The soup was interesting. It had a curried taste, which I wasn't expecting as it wasn't in the description, but it was ok. The foccacia was really delicious. It was like a tiny flat bread - very small- but the flavors were delicious. The salad was also very good, though beware if you hate onions because they are chopped small, and I hate them so they were hard to remove. There is no way you can come here without having dessert. I got the turtle cheesecake brownie, which had a brownie layer, a cheesecake layer, and some caramel on top (see my pic). It was AMAZING. Best ever. I got ice cream with it, which made it even better. YUM!! I tried Mallory's apple galette, which was good, but we both agreed that we liked mine better. It is a bit on the higher price point but not bad, especially for lunch. I'll be back!

Four to five stars on the world class deserts. The dining room is a bit dated but of the foods great and you are chill...what's the difference. Convenient to The Rep, and always creative entrees . If the servers a bit slow or you are headed to an event..it makes sense to tell them up front. Brennan, is meticulous on ingredients and keeping the cost tolerable...the short ribs at dinner rock on...save room for desert...

The prices here are a bit on the steep side for dinner, but most people just come to sate their sweet tooth. I come strictly for the almond macaroons, which are large and chewy, just dripping with almond paste. Macaroons get their light texture from that and egg whites, and these cookies are so light they almost float out of the store. This is not to say you will, however, if you indulge in as many as you'd like!

    Cool look to the place!

This was my first visit to Cravings. I have had their dessert but never eaten here. Overall, it was okay. I had the appetizer Spanakopita (I had it at the Greek Festival the previous weekend and wanted more) and it was enjoyable but we were charged 11.95 despite the price being stated as 9.95 and we only got two! A bit pricy for only two. For my main course I got linguini with wild mushroom (salad or soup comes with the entree) which was very good. But again, this is a fancier place so you do not get a huge portion; the cost is for the quality of the ingredients. For me, I like smaller portions but people with bigger appetites may be disappointed. The service was okay, it took me reminding my server to get my wine and I ran out of water a few times (we were the only ones in there for most of the time). The dessert is where this place really shines. I got the white chocolate raspberry cheesecake and it was out of this world good! I would recommend just getting dessert here to go.

    Not good!

The moment you step into Diana's, you're wrapped in the warm, sweet aroma of a traditional panadería -- fresh breads, sugar-topped pastries, and that unmistakable feeling that everything here is made con amor. The pastry cases are a celebration of color and flavor -- pillowy conchas, golden empanadas, trays of vibrant pan dulce, and fresh breads like bolillos and telera rolls that practically beg to come home with you. Every bite feels authentic, comforting, and joyful -- the kind of baking that carries tradition in every crumb. The conchas are especially spectacular -- soft, lightly sweet, with that perfect sugary shell. Pair one with a cup of coffee and suddenly the whole morning feels like a little fiesta. I especially love popping in and picking up fresh bread for Sunday brunch. There's something about bringing home warm bolillos or sweet pastries that instantly turns brunch into a celebration. But what really makes Diana's shine is the spirit of the place. There's warmth, laughter, and that welcoming neighborhood energy that makes you want to linger just a little longer. I tried several different things and didn't really like any of them. The sugar cookie with sprinkles, the almond cookie with powdered sugar, and the frosted chocolate sugar cookie were all no-go for me. I wanted to buy the wagon wheels (not sure if that's what they're actually called?) but they were plain! No cinnamon sugar on them. The service was pretty good! We didn't chat with anyone as we shopped but once we got to the counter, they were friendly and helpful. The line went by quickly and the atmosphere was warm and cozy. My compatriots also got several things and I'll add their reviews too! Cannoli - the filling had a gap in the middle and it was little disappointing. The filling was good. The shell was a bit thick. Pretty good overall. Cheesecake - not my favorite. Tasted good and the texture was perfect but not cream cheese-y enough for my liking. The chocolate version might be better. Giant meringue - really good! Nice and crumbly with a great taste. Wedding cookies - didn't taste like anything and they were super dry. Literally no almond flavor at all.

I enjoyed a Smoked Ham and Gruyere Croissant and a black coffee in house. I was to have a seat at the counter in their front window and relax while my dogs were at the doggie spa up the street. The croissant was super-super flakey and the smoked ham paired beautifully with the gruyere cheese. I couldn't come to NRB and not take home a couple of sweet treats. My favorite treat was the Raspberry Lemon Financier. It was so good the next morning with my home brewed coffee. Then that evening I enjoyed a Lemon Cake whose name I cannot recall. It exceeded moistness and the strong lemon flavor was just what I like. In addition to my treats, I got a Chocolate Chip Pecan Cookie for my fur-babies pet stylist as part of her tip. My only dislike and it's minor, is that they serve Kaldi's Coffee. I'm glad they are supporting another local small business, but I am not a fan of their product.
